Tres bel hotel en plein centre de Bordeaux et tres bon rapport qualite / prix. ||Beau Petit dejeuner avce produits frais. Superbe cake aux fruits secs

We had a superb stay at the Grand Hotel Francais. The location, friendly reception staff and cleanliness of the hotel were the things that we will remember. It has been our second time here and we would definitely love to return again.

The hotel is conveniently located and the staff are very accommodating.

We requested that there be no fragrance used prior to our stay due to a fragrance allergy. The bed linens had no scent, and with the window open the lingering fragrances on the floor from prior stays was mostly eliminated.

The rooms were clean and the building is beautifully maintained, too.

Un super accueil avec le sourire, une petite erreur sur la chambre réservée mais avec réactivité et profesionnalisme l’erreur fût corrigée sans difficulté : Félicitations.

We were travelling with friends for a short break to discover Bordeaux.||We cannot rate the hotel highly enough! The location was perfect!||Staff SO helpful and courteous!||A wonderful stay! Would highly recommend!

Lovely traditional building in a great central location. Friendly & helpful staff. Breakfast was a delicious fresh buffet. Bed was extremely comfortable.||Bordeaux is well worth visiting without a car. Easy to walk around the city and the trams offer a great service if you don’t want to walk. ||Loved the hotel and would definitely stay here again if I were visiting Bordeaux. ||

Lovely hotel with helpful staff. Perfectly located for the city centre and 2 minutes from a tram stop too.

Great location, very reasonably priced, excellent breakfast, great bar and super friendly staff.

Hotel très bien placé, propre et bien tenu. Le personnel est compétent et sympathique.||Large choix au petit déjeuner dont créations maison, cake, quiche …||Un bémol cependant pour la chambre sombre et les WC et salle de bain très exiguës. Lit confortable. Le bar de l’hôtel vaut le détour.

Hôtel idéalement situé en centre ville. Accueil sympathique, chaleureux et professionnel. Très beau buffet de petit déjeuner à base de très bons produits. Au bar les deux experts en myxologie vous préparent d'excellents cocktails. Un petit Bémol pour la chambre un peu trop petite. Sinon établissement a recommander.

Bonjour,||Hôtel très propre, personnel toujours disponible et à votre écoute.||Services proposés très appréciés, qualité des petits-déjeuners irréprochable.||Seul bémol, l'absence de double vitrage côté rue, ce qui laisse passer le bruits des piétons discutant fort la nuit. Autrement, rien à reprocher, je recommande à 100%.

Vous trouverez dans cet hôtel charmant et bien situé, un personnel professionnel, gentil et vraiment attentionné !

We have stayed at this hotel twice in these past 10 months. The location is superb as it is located in the pedestrian area of downtown Bordeaux. Our first visit was in July of 2024, and most recently we were there in the first week of 2025

The staff are wonderful and put up with us practising our French (which means they switch to English easily when we start to look confused). The bar, located at the front of the hotel entrance is very chic and their mixologist made us the most delightful, and delicious cocktails..

When we stayed with them in July 2024, they were part of Best Western and were still part of that group when we booked our January visit with them in late 2024. Happily, I can report they have not changed. Best Western has lost a jewel.

In July, we made the mistake of booking into another boutique hotel in Bordeaux, located close to the tram station, thinking to have a different and maybe better experience. No. It was not better and frankly, much worse. The interior of the other hotel looked rundown and worn around the edges. Their breakfast had signs limiting people on what they could take and you had to request coffee from their barista, once you got their attention. Coffee was limited too. The breakfast was okay, but not anything inviting or memorable.

The breakfast at Grand Hôtel Français on the other hand, is wonderful. It features homemade yogurt, fruit compote, croissants, pain chocolate, brioche, local cheeses, paté, eggs, fresh fruit and of course wonderful coffee. We had to leave very early for our flight back to Toronto, and we were a little sad we couldn't have our breakfast as we were leaving before 06:30. What did they do? They set up the breakfast area early, just for us!

The entire feel of this hotel is that of a lovely, welcoming old home. There is a beautiful spiral staircase next to the elevator. We got a larger room this time, which featured a large bathroom featuring both a standalone shower and a deep bathtub, also with a shower. It has a double sink as well.

I can't wait to get back to Bordeaux so we can stay with them again.

Chambre nickel, prestation de la chambre au delà nos attentes. Camille, Nicolas et Malika ont été au top et ont rendu cette escapade encore plus exquise. Merci

This hotel has left the Best Western chain. I received a notice just before Christmas. When I emailed regarding my upcoming stay in March, I received a very quick reply. My reservations have been kept exactly as made, and they welcome me. I'm very happy, because this looks like a super hotel. Great customer service already!

A lovely hotel in a good location in Bordeaux. Friendly staff. My daughter and I swapped rooms so I could have a walk-in shower. She had a bath. Rooms were good size. Bordeaux is quite flat so it was easy to walk around to look at the sights. Breakfast at the hotel was good too.

L’hôtel offre une très grande qualité de confort. Le service est parfait. Il est très bien situé à proximité des lieux clés à visiter dans le centre-ville de Bordeaux.
Le bar à cocktails est à mettre particulièrement en lumière (bar Casa). Donnez à l’expert barman quelques lignes directrices concernant vos préférences, ajoutez « Surprenez-moi » : un cocktail sur mesure aux saveurs exquises, recherchées, délicates ou puissantes, décoré avec attention, vous sera servi pour une expérience hors du commun. Par ailleurs, tout est, autour de ce bar, spécial et travaillé ; raffiné et élégant. Cela va de l’eau aromatisée, aux glaçons limpides, jusqu’aux décors alliant ancien et moderne. Incontournable à Bordeaux pour les amateurs de mixologie, connaisseurs comme novices !

Totalmente recomendable. Fuimos como parte de nuestro viaje de luna de miel, nos escribieron una postal (en castellano y a mano), nos dieron unas galletitas navideñas y nos hicieron un upgrade a una habitación con balcón (con unas vistas bonitas a la calle comercial). El staff fue muy amable en todo momento, y por suerte todos hablaban castellano cosa que es de agradecer. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y estaba todo limpio. Lo mejor del hotel sin duda es la ubicación, está en pleno centro a unos pasos de las calles más turísticas sin embargo es muy tranquilo y no se escucha ruido por la noche. Si regresamos a Burdeos sin duda nos volveremos a alojar aquí!

Es un hotel fantástico en una ubicación inmejorable del centro de la ciudad. La atención en la recepción es digna de un hotel de 5 estrellas, sin duda será mi hotel de referencia en Bordeaux en las próximas veces que visite está bonita ciudad.

El hotel es muy bonito, pequeñito y muy coqueto y la ubicación es buenísima.
El personal muy amable y atento, sobre todo una chica de recepción, que además de ser muy agradable, se esforzaba por explicarnos todo en español.
A la habitación dudamos entre darle 3 estrellas o 4 ya que es muy pequeña, la confort; eso sí, es muy completa, tiene de todo y el baño aunque no es grande, tiene una ducha muy amplia.
La limpieza correcta.
El desayuno aunque tiene bastantes cosas, la verdad, sí que estamos acostumbrados a encontrar más variedad en otros hoteles. Pero es más que suficiente, y los croissants están de muerte!!!
En resumen, volveríamos .

We stayed here for a long weekend in December. |We booked last minute directly through the hotels website and wanted a balcony, so got the deluxe room with balcony.|The room was huge.|The bed was too comfy with good heating, a fridge to keep drinks cold and a great walk in shower.|We easily caught the tram from the airport, which stops at the Cathedral and was about 5 mins walk. We could see the Cathedral at the end of the road from the balcony.|Loved the ginger cat at the opposite apartments.|In warmer weather, coffee,  dinner and drinks on the balcony would be ideal. |The main sites were walking distance, we used the boat to get over to Darwin, but otherwise trams are useful. |The main shopping streets are around the corner, cute little shops plus your usual high street stores, but very quiet at night. ||All the staff were very friendly and welcoming.||The bar on the ground floor was lovely and even made cocktails not on the menu. ||Loved the water fountain in reception to keep filling up.||Bordeaux was a lovely city,  we're not wine drinkers, just love a city break.||

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le petit-déjeuner, fait maison et local, délicieux! Le changement de direction est certainement à l'origine de la décoration du rez-de-chaussée qui est très agréable, il ne reste plus qu'à rafraichir les chambres... Un personnel très accueillant et à l'écoute, nous reviendrons certainement.
