Je fais 800KM pour partir de ma région et rejoindre un ami à Bordeaux,étant fatigué je viens juste pour prendre une douche et je comptais repartir ensuite,mon ami a réservé une chambre,il n'est même pas possible de venir 30 minutes avec lui puis repartir,service client déplorable,y'a beaucoup de points à améliorer dans cet établissement,une chose sûre vu le comportement de la personne,je ne réserverais jamais ici,et je ne recommanderais jamais cet établissement.

Our hotel room had a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom and a penetrating stench from the air conditioning. We reported it to the front desk, but no one was willing to resolve the issue. Another room was not available unless we paid a significant surcharge. With no functioning air conditioning, we had to keep the windows open at night — right next to Bordeaux’s busy train station — so we didn’t get much sleep. Admittedly, first world problems, but both service and comfort were sorely lacking in this overpriced hotel.

J'ai eu l'occasion de manger au Jost récemment et j'ai passé un très bon moment. Mention spéciale à la serveuse brune aux yeux bleus, qui a été impeccable du début à la fin: professionnelle, souriante, attentionnée et très efficace. C'est agréable de voir quelqu'un qui prend son métier à cœur. Je recommande sans hésiter, autant pour la cuisine que pour la qualité du service !

Jost is an amazing hostel and offers 24/7 reception. The shared rooms when privacy screens are absolutely amazing and offer a small bedroom experience for cheap despite being shared with countless other people. Each room was quite clean and the lockers offered were also spacious and easy to use and very convenient. The rooftop was quite nice and has a good atmosphere and the pool, despite being basic, was a welcome addition. The pricing at the bar was a bit steeper than expected but overall an amazing stay and great vibes and atmosphere throughout the location

Nice, modern rooms. I wouldnt choose the breakfast again, cold scrambled eggs, cold pancakes and it wasnt topped up.
My wife asked what was gluten free and they replied 'you can't eat bread' ???? which was actually hilarious.

Very nice hotel at the price point near the station.
The staff in reception are young and welcoming.
The rooms are very well put together, use the space well with storage under the bed etc (reminds me of Citizen M hotels in London, but better rooms).
Free coffee and water on each floor, the coffee is very good.
Lovely roof top pool with a lively bar and reasonably priced drinks.

It is along the train lines so you do hear the trains in the morning and location wise it is about 2.5k from the downtown but there are regular buses (some of the trams are currently off) and after about 10/15 mins walk you do hit some good spots.

Rendez-vous entre copines sur le rooftop du JOST : la météo n'était pas l'idéal (c'est pas leur faute ????), coucher de soleil magnifique mais énormément de vent. Très bien situé, le service a par contre été long et plutôt brouillon. Ils ont demandé au minimum 3 fois ce que mon amie voulait boire avant que son cocktail arrive enfin ???????? et j'ai failli avoir la commande de quelqu'un d'autre. La planche a mis du temps pour arriver également...
Mis à part les oublis, échanges ou autres, ils sont tous très gentils et très accueillants. Tout était bon ! Mon spritz méditerranée un délice, les plats très bons aussi (avec le vent ils ont vite refroidi).
Donc à retenter avec une météo moins venteuse et une organisation améliorée.
PS : pour les chambres je n'y ai pas séjourné (donc note maximum par principe)

I was quite disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The receptionist gave us several pieces of incorrect information, which made things unnecessarily confusing. Additionally, the waitress at the rooftop pool was unexpectedly rude, which really impacted the overall experience. I suppose the lower price point reflects the level of service, but it’s not a place I would return to or recommend.

great hotel, great rooms, pretty good breakfast buffet, could maybe do with some more hot savoury foods. overall great place. great location if you need to be at the train station however it is a bit far from the tourist centre, but is manageable

We had a lovely stay in hotel Jost, we were only in Bordeaux for one night. We had two families staying together 4 adults & 5 children. One of the families had a family room, the others had a room for 2 & 3. All perfect for what we needed for the short stay. Very reasonable price. Nice clean rooms. Tea station on every floor with tea/coffee, biscuits & sweets (nice touch). Lovely pool on roof top, we were there on Fri evening so there was live music. Right outside the door there was a food court with plenty of food options & we had a lovely lunch there & walked about 10 mins into town for dinner. Room wasn’t ready when we arrived as we were early but there was a luggage room and we could use the pool. Small supermarket across the street. Everyone in our group loved the hotel, perfect for what we needed. Having the pool was great as it was a very hot day. All in all we’d be happy to recommend and definitely would stay in we return to Bordeaux.

Another hipster ho(s)tel that lacks the basics of a decent hotel (no chair/table/ luggage rack in room, go into shower for hand soap, coffee or phone to call reception is in hallway/communal space). Well decorated but poorly appointed.

Suite a une réservation, j'ai passé mon après midi à essayer de les contacter pour une arrivée tardive.
Arrivés à passé minuit avec ma fille de 12 ans, aucune chambre de prêtes.
Le réceptionniste embêté fait tout pour solutionner.
Nettoyage de chambre a 1h du mat
Dédommagement petit dej offert
Arrivés dans la chambre, TV ne fonctionne pas, nombre de serviettes pour 1 personne.
Equipe du matin ne nous trouve pas sur la liste des petits déjeuners ...
Dommage pour le défaut de communication interne qui gâche le séjour
Emplacement parfait, belle deco, bon petit dej mais ça n'a pas suffit à ravir ma fille qui s'est demandé si une chose allait fonctionner normalement

✅ Positives:

I booked an 8-bed female dorm but was moved to a 6-bed, which was nice.

The room was clean and quiet.

Big lockers inside the room.

Only women’s bathrooms.

The people were really nice and helpful.

There’s a rooftop with a bar, restaurant, and swimming pool.

➖ Negatives:

There was no toilet paper in 2 out of the 3 toilets in the only women’s bathroom.

The kitchen was sticky and messy this morning, but that’s not really the premises’ fault — travelers can be quite messy.

➕/➖ It’s near the train station, but a little far from the city center. However, it’s easy to catch a bus.

Overall:
A good stay. I’d recommend it!

les réceptionnistes sont très accueillant, les chambres, les sanitaires et la cuisine sont très propres! Par contre l'entrée est un peu difficile à trouver quand on ne connaît pas l'hôtel.

Idéal pour un week-end. Ambiance super sympa en bas de l’hôtel avec aire de jeux et halles gourmandes pour se restaurer. Personnel de l’hôtel très sympa et serviable. Chambre confortable et ultra pratique avec enfants en bas âge. On a adoré et même profité de la piscine en toiture le matin !

Hier il y a eu une soirée brésilienne au rooftop , endroit magnifique et musique au top mais le service du bar une horreur, manque d organisation,( à un moment le service était à table ensuite au bar puis ensuite à table ….bière chaude, retard dans les commandes 30mn au moins pour le service, certain d entre eux (le monsieur avec le chignon peut être le manager manque de respect flagrant avec les clients ) lors d événement à forte influence penser à revoir c est détail merci

Close to good bus service to/from train station location. Car parking is not too far but not with a roof box.
Rooftop pool and bar area is fab and a bit of fun in the deck chairs overlooking the city 8 floors up.
Suspect they might need to switch to plastic serving glasses around the pool.
The rooms are very comfortable for 2 or bigger room for 3. Good showers and breakfast is available but we didn’t use.
Staff are great.
Highly recommended.
