Fabulous downtown hotel with amazing access to all the restaurants and champagne houses. The rooms are a little petite but finished to a high standard.

A must stay!!! But you must stay on floor #4 with a super-sized balcony…right in front of the beautiful cathedral. Awe-inspiring to spend every night on our balcony, with champagne, as the Cathedral was all lit up; and every morning having breakfast on the balcony just staring at it. Well worth the money. The restaurants and the people are all amazing here. A special shoutout to the concierges Marion and Candice who answered all our many questions in the weeks before arrival; and especially Amelie whom we saw every day and was super helpful and answered our daily barrage of questions and gave us spectacular restaurant recommendations. The entire front desk staff was extremely hard working and always greeted us with a smile. Whenever we called down for assistance they would be at our door in under a minute every time. Amazing!!!! The morning breakfast was fantastic as well! If you are staying in Reims, there is no other place to stay!!!

The worst service of 5 stars hotel!
The AC not work and its not cool during the summer time!
all the staff not guide u to the room, the breakfast staff not served u anything not even asking!

and the last thing is....I put the sign do not disturb at night but the staff still knocking the door at 7am???? and when I put the sign to clean g
the room almost 3.30hours no one come to clean the room and asking the staff he said that u can look by ourself if it already clean or not!!!

Leider ist nicht zu erkennen, dass die Küche nachmittags geschlossen ist. Das könnte man doch auf der Speisekarte vermerken.

I'm overall enjoying the hotel, but I have to say that I'm annoyed the wifi is not operational. It's one of the main reasons I chose this hotel as there are many others in this same location

Redelijke kamers niet al te groot. Kapotte badkamerdeur. Uitzicht op de kathedraal. Service rond uit zeer slecht. Personeel heeft geen flauw benul wat ze behoren te doen.

Un plaisir d'une nuitée pour apprécier la ville et ses joyaux historiques sur 36 h, en espérant profiter surtout de ce très bel hôtel historique idéalement Centré , le meilleur endroit possible pour profiter de la ville.
Malgré le choix d'une suite junior en dernier étage face à la cathédrale ( vue splendide ) , j'ai été déçu par les prestations de l'hôtel, a commencer par cette suite façon " couloir" toute en longueur, étroite semblant mal conçue et manquant d'optimisation de l'espace, une salle de bain étriquée sans porte qui peut gêner , un espace lit finalement assez étroit et une entrée trop vaste et inutile, une décoration manquant cruellement de chaleur et convivialité, ne permettant pas de passer l'instant espéré.
Par ailleurs, l'hôtel en lui-même est très beau, soigné, le personnel très à l'écoute , professionnel, sans excès cependant de chaleur ou de convivialité, l'espace hall check in/out est très étroit et encombré de clients , groupes et valises stockées partout , rendant l'espace bordélique ou obstrué, mais aussi bruyant .
la salle petit déjeuner est bien trop sombre, austère dans sa décoration et n'inspire ou n'invite pas au plaisir d'un réveil convivial , le buffet est flanqué dans une partie bien trop sombre et manquant d'aisance.
Nous n'avons du coup pas testé les restaurants mais les terrasses sont réellement appréciables .

Un bien bel hôtel certes , décevant sur quelques points ne méritant pas les 5 étoiles à mon sens.
A conseiller probablement avec une chambre moins couteuse , Pour nous rendre au final plus conciliant sur les quelques points perfectibles rapportés aux tarifs pratiqués.

This is truly a lovely hotel with a superb city centre cathedral location. Room 408 has a balcony which we used most nights and overlooks the glorious cathedral. We enjoyed dinner in Little Georgette and many a glass of champagne from the bar. The front desk staff were excellent, friendly and hospitable. Our room however really does need additional furniture as there is room for a chest of drawers etc. There is too little hanging space and no drawers. We had clothes hanging from the towel rack and could not fully unpack. Suggest some hooks and of course robes. We stayed 6 nights with large suitcases. We think you can remedy this.

I booked this fantastic hotel while I was in Reims for my birthday and everything was above and beyond amazing! My mom had their concierge set up a gorgeous welcome with flowers, champagne, and macarons. The staff were all so kind and lovely and I can’t wait to book here agin. Not to mention the incredible view!!

Three stars for the location and excellent breakfast, yet overall no recommendation.
1) Room was called a "Junior Suite", but despite from a spectacular view of the cathedral, it was far from adequate for a 5* hotel. The size was a normal 5* hotel room size - no suite -, sparsely decorated in the style of much cheaper "design hotels". The bathroom was honestly inacceptable: small, dark, old, no space to place toiletries and worst the shower: it was a tiny, low-budget showerhead that you couldn't even move above your head. The worst shower I've had since my backpacking years, and I've had much better ones in many a hostel. No complementary water (450€ a night!), no turndown service, the bed on the wrong side so you can't see the cathedral, .....
2) given all that, the price was horrendous
3) close to midnight we called the the advertised "24h valet parking". For 10 minutes nobody picked up. Then they told us to come to a location that was (almost) impossible to reach due to construction. When we arrived, nobody was there. We ended up parking on the street

Nous avons séjourné trois nuits à la Caserne Chazny à Reims et avons globalement passé un très bon moment. Le bâtiment est magnifique, superbement rénové, et l’ambiance générale de l’hôtel est élégante sans être trop formelle. ||En ce qui concerne la chambre, la literie est excellente et la décoration des chambres est soignée. Même si la chambre était un peu petite, elle était bien pensée et bien aménagée.||||L’équipe de l’hôtel est très chaleureuse, attentive et très disponible.||||Quelques petits points pourraient toutefois être améliorés. Il manquait un peu de café en chambre, et il n’y avait pas de turndown service le soir. Le gym mériterait aussi un peu plus d’attention, un peu en désordre, et pas d’eau disponible pendant notre passage.||||L’accès en voiture a été compliqué à cause des travaux à Reims, mais les voituriers ont été très efficaces et serviables pour compenser ce désagrément.||||Somme toute, un agréable séjour avec une équipe vraiment engagée. Il manque encore quelques détails, mais l’expérience était globalement positive.

Nous avons séjourné dans plusieurs hôtels lors d'un long passage en Europe et La Caserne Chanzy a été de loin le plus inoubliable. Malgré mes nombreux appels aux compagnies de taxis locales, impossible de trouver un van à Reims pour notre groupe et surtout nos nombreux bagages. Un IMMENSE merci à la jeune fille de l'accueil ayant réussi ce miracle moins d'une demi-heure avant notre arrivée en pleine nuit

해있어요. 랭스 시내는 크지 않아 어디든 걸어가기 좋았어요. 직원분들이 영어도 다 잘하셔서 소통에 어려움이 없어서 좋았어요. 서비스도 굿! 아침은 다소간소하게 나와서 인룸 다이닝도 좋았어요.

Perfect location. Beautiful, well appointed rooms. Mostly helpful staff; kudos to Loraine, she arranged last minute tour of Joseph Desrueta- must visit

Pro’s |- Location for cathedral (not near champagne houses)|- Restaurant (dinner only - breakfast extremely poor)||Con’s|- Rude staff|- Rooms not as advertised|- Clientele are made to feel as if they are lying|- No responsibility for any issues - again clientele blamed|- Do not respond to issues and blame guests||Hidden Charges |- Charge EUR 25 per night to park (& you have to walk to the car park)|- Charge EUR 15 for one hour use of pool per person (& must be over 12)||I also witnessed the manager being extremely rude to a guest who was distressed about a room situation.||Look elsewhere this hotel charges 5 star prices but does not deliver in service, breakfast, staff, amenities. Also be aware of the ‘high ratings’ from influencers etc.||Marriott should be looking into how staff behave in this hotel as it’s not the standards experienced in other Marriott hotels and blatant lying seems to be the normal service for this hotel.

Do it be fooled by the location …. The ‘paid’ plugging by various webpages and the glossy instagram shots…… it is really deceiving.||Beautiful location, great dinner and majority of staff very nice.||Now let me get to the detail or the lack of attention detail for a ‘5 star’ hotel.||Arrival, luggage, personal items, clothes, ladies handbags left in hallway and not taken to the room when it was available (effectively we arrived at 2pm - rooms are not ready until 3pm). We understood luggage would be stored in the baggage area/room, it wasn’t and we only made this discovery that all our personal items and valuables were sat in a hallway available for anyone to take.||Paid for balloons to be in room on arrival - 2 half floating helium balloons one severely dilated and 4 balloons scattered on bed - the person whose room it was didn’t even understand what it was meant to be.||Rooms, booked courtyard (requested twin & connecting or even near), given 2 king rooms facing a construction site on a noisy road on different floors.||Courtesy items - Water & crisps, not there missing.||Toilet black mould on the shower, chipped vanity unit, unclean sink, half empty toiletries bottles for starters - no hot water on one night, had to come out shower.||Asked on arrival in respect of the rooms (as was celebrating a special birthday for elderly relative) was told we didn’t book courtyard, produced evidence we did, told that the room type we have there are no twin rooms - pointed the ‘manager’ to the website where it shows room category (which states twin rooms). Advised that we had put down rooms that were next to one another - advised there is only 1 room type on each floor so not possible. Is this really true? As we booked a courtyard and we were on the street - so let’s say this is not true (yet again. Mentioned the balloons, how there were 2 helium one half deflated and neither were floating - advised we did not know when you would arrive (remember we checked in at 2 a can’t get room to 3 so came back at 530 - luggage in the hall) so we said that 2.5hrs the balloons should still be inflated and 2 small balloons was bad show and rather pathetic. This is an 80th birthday it’s a big deal! The missing item - ignored - we said that it wasn’t a great start to a special weekend and could we pay to move rooms as we especially booked courtyard for no noise (medical reasons) told no sorry no other rooms at all so no way. Now, this is what makes a hotel - the ‘manager’ was rude, insulting, dismissive and technically lied - remember the room type! We didn’t book, the request we didn’t ask (we did had proof) and the solution to this was I can give you a free glass of champagne! We don’t want a glass of champagne - we want to not be insulted, spoken to like we are unintelligent, patronised and basically down right rude.||There were other issues - the same ‘manager’ appeared when we had no hot water - to run the water then 5mins later it became hot to then say it is hot - however before that stood and told us this is as hot as it gets (the dial was over the 39 degrees and it was not even like warm) when in the morning we had to turn the shower dial less than half way as it was scolding - again clearly thinking we are not well travelled, unintelligent and that you can say anything to us as we are only guests. I asked him to leave the room, told him we are not idiots, that the continual lies of had enough.||There were other issues which I will not go into, but again the reason to write this at an ungodly hour is because of these.||So in a word - great location, valet drivers so helpful and kind - Dinner was wonderful, but it’s not a true 5 star hotel - no attention to detail and utter contempt for guests. If the real manager or even assistant manager wants to read this - happy to discuss.

Great place to stay when in Reims - visiting Champagne region for our first time. Everyone at the hotel was professional including the concierge desk who helped me with car service, recommendations etc ahead of our stay.

It’s a historic location, but inside very modern. Our room had a nice balcony and view of the cathedral. There is a lot of construction going on but it did not bother us at all. Storage is a bit tight but the amenities were great.

Perfect position for exploring.

You pay for location here. With that said, the neighborhood is bustling. Service is very good although the hotel can be hard to reach by car if you are driving. There are street barricades that close at various times of day, even the locals don’t expect this.
Our room was on the 2nd floor at the back side of the hotel and was very noisy. You hear every street conversation below and the hotel carts start moving about outside at 7am and will wake you.
Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Pour l'essentiel, des plats servis sans cloches, circulant dans ascenseurs et couloirs (contraire au règle HACCP) ; assiette de fromages composée d'entames, un premier vin débouché aux deux tiers ; le serveur est reparti de la chambre sans s'apercevoir qu'il sentait un vin non débouché et de nous dire qu'il était bien, 4 personnes se succèdent ensuite dans la chambre pour résoudre le problème, on nous propose d'enfoncer le reste du bouchon pour le mettre en carafe … et service d'un autre vin 30 minutes après, on dîne froid … Voir les photos ci-dessous de la première bouteille de vin non brossée et des entames de fromages …

This hotel feels very American (for good and less good). It has big comfortable rooms and a very large bathroom. The bed and linens were VERY comfortable and the location and concierge is excellent. They had refrigerators and nespresso machines in the room. The fridge was broken upon our arrival, but maintenance came and fixed it pretty quickly. Complimentary champagne on arrival would make sense to offer in this region and providing coffee in the lobby would be nice. More attention to the overall smell of the hotel would also be nice, but otherwise it was a very comfortable hotel and a good choice if you are looking for an affordable but nice place in Reims.
