Questions fréquentes :

When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that our car would only be allowed to park in the hotel’s private car park for the Wednesday night. For the rest of the nights (until Sunday), we would have to park the car on the street. When we complained about this change in arrangements, the response was: "we posted this on our website". Of course, the devil is in the details. We called a week before our arrival to inquire about the parking arrangements. At this point, the hotel already knew that they had sold parking access for a corporate event, but they failed to inform us of this change. In fact, at no point prior to our arrival did they mention anything about it. We were therefore forced to vacate the hotel’s car park. That same night, with our car parked outside, it was broken into. The following night, another guest’s car was broken into in the same street. It turns out there is a drug addiction problem in some parts of Lille, and this hotel is located in one such area. If your registration is foreign, your car will be targeted, as the perpetrators are less likely to face the consequences of their theft.
For the little extra story, we also got stuck in the lift for an hour, waiting for someone to free us. Disturbingly, this seemed to be a common occurrence at the hotel. Finally, the room was probably the smallest I’ve stayed in, and the view resembled a post-apocalyptic wasteland with desolate factories.
All in all, there is no reason to choose this hotel over one located in the city centre. Just find a private parking space nearby and avoid the drug users altogether.
