We ate a chef selected set menu that was unbelievably delicious. Gege Mangano was fantastic in his presentation, presentation and taste. Fabulous.

We did not stay here. We had a chef tasting long wonderful midday meal!

The slightly higher price for the food, compared to "catch the tourists"-restaurants, is justified. The food is really good and the chef very friendly. You'll find a lot of vegetarian options in the menu. If you're looking for good food (and if you additionall, maybe, are vegetarian), this is the right place for you.

What an excellent evening my boyfriend and I had in this lovely restaurant in the old historical center of Monte Sant'Angelo!

The food was great and very tasteful, the restaurant's interior was lovely and decorated with interesting works of art. The service was very friendly and helpful. We were both charmed that the chef personally came to our table to recommend us a nice bottle of wine.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening of delicious food. The chef prepared us a handmade gluten-free dinner of six courses. It was fantastic!

Il ristorante è in una posizione perfetta per unire una visita al borgo di Monte Sant'Agelo e un ottimo pasto, si trova in pieno centro storico in una piazza graziosa e a meno di 5 min a piedi dal santuario dell'arcangelo Michele.

Ho trovato l'offerta della cucina davvero coerente con il territorio e soprattutto ricca di piatti buoni e interessanti.

Il servizio è stato impeccabile, attento e cordialissimo, il locale è gestito da Gegè Mangano, istrionico chef, e sua moglie, gentilissima caposala. Entrambi hanno la piacevole abitudine di interagire con i clienti e raccontare la loro storia e il loro impegno nella ristorazione.

Nel menù mi sento di consigliare specialmente le carni che ho trovato cotte in maniera impeccabile.

In generale un esperienza davvero positiva con un prezzo giusto per un pasto che ti lascia sazio e arricchito.

What can I say about this fabulous restaurant? There are not enough superlatives to describe it but I will try. The talented chef, Gege, warmly welcomed us into his beautiful restaurant. From the very first moment we knew that we had found something special. Fabulous interior - comfortable chairs and a beautiful environment with gorgeous artwork and wonderful but unobtrusive music. The menu is limited to three or so dishes for each course - this is because Gege uses only the freshest, seasonal ingredients and therefore changes the menu quite regularly to suit. We had the fava beans soup for starters followed by oricchiette with broccolini - both dishes of the region. We loved them both and couldn't decide which was our favourite. For dessert we had another local dish, creamy ricotta with crumbles, lemon peel and a wine sauce. Again, out of this world. Gege also treated us to some more delicacies of the region, including the little wafer biscuits with almonds and honey, all of which were delectable. Our only regret was that we had to leave! What a gem of a place we had found in Monte Sant'Angelo. We will be recommending Li Jalantuumene to all of our friends and live for the day when we will be back. We noticed that there is a six course degustation menu and are dreaming of returning for dinner one night to partake. The ideal would be to also book a room at Casa Li Jalantuumene, of which there are four, so that we didn't have to drive and could have more than one glass of wine from Gege's wonderful wine list. I wish that all restaurants were up to this standard. Thank you, Gege, for providing us with such a very special experience. You have well and truly raised the bar.

Nous avons choisi ce restaurant sous conseil d’une amie.
Nous avons apprécié le cadre, au calme et intimiste, à côté d’une place avec église.
Nous avons opté pour la dégustation des menus (végétarien et de viande).
La qualité des ingrédients, l’équilibre des saveurs, les nombreux plats, était associée à un très joli dressage.
Le vin (un Susumaniello IGT du Salento) et l’huile d’olive locale étaient sublimes.
Le service et le professionnalisme du chef qui gère ce restaurant avec sa femme était impeccable.
Le rapport qualité prix est excellent (95 euro par personne tout inclu).
Mérite beaucoup ++

Lovely restaurant on a beautiful square in the heart of the historic old town - definitely worth walking beyond the main tourist streets to find it. Delicious, simple food with excellent ingredients, perfect for lunch on a hot day, and welcoming, friendly owners.

Gege ottimo intrattenitore in alcuni casi un po’ troppo invasivo locale piccolino prezzi esorbitanti per la qualità del cibo. Ricordo che non mi sembra di averlo trovato nei ristoranti stellati

Esperienza incredibile , originalità dei piatti unito ad una storia affascinante spiegata in modo puntiglioso da Ge Ge lo chef . Habe dort einen wirklich sehr schönen Abend genossen. Vom leckeren Essen bis zur netten Bedienung hat alles perfekt gepasst. Definitiv empfehlenswert! Ciao Gege!

Ich finde es ist ein sehr nettes Restaurant mit sehr lustigen Chef. Das Essen schmeckt fantastisch und es liegt ein gutes Preis-leistungs-Verhältnis vor.
Ich empfehle das Restaurant auf jeden fall weiter!

Solo ora dopo una settimana dalla bella serata passata a Li Jalantuùmene scrivo questa recensione. Gegé (chef e padrone di casa) è, assieme alla moglie, una forza della natura, il posto è splendido e i piatti che abbiamo mangiato ottimi. La proposta è basata su due differenti menu degustazione (eravamo in due e li abbiamo presi entrambi) senza scelta alla carta, i piatti tradizionali sapientemente rielaborati in chiave contemporanea ma senza senza eccedere, ci sono piaciuti molto. Ad inizio cena, scambiandoci quattro chiacchiere, scopro casualmente che Gegè conosce vari componenti della mia famiglia e da lì inizia a coccolarci per tutta la cena (ci offre calici di vino, ci fa assaggiare piatti extra etc). Solamente a fine cena mi rendo conto che in realtà è il trattamento che riserva a tutti i tavoli indistintamente.
Consigliatissimo
(la prossima volta che vengo a Monte ci torno assieme a mio padre)

Had a fantastic meal here tonight. My daughter rated it 9/10 which believe me is excellent for her. Set menu paced well. Exceedingly friendly staff and the quality of food easily met my expectations.
