Gute Lage in der Stadt, mit Tramanschluss zum Bahnhof, saubere Zimmer, ausreichend groß, sehr freundliches Personal, angenehmer Barbereich, preiswert. Passt eigentlich alles.

Very central and lovely rooms!

The Service in the Bar/Restaurant was insanely great! I sadly forgot the name of my waiter but I was especially difficult in choosing the right Gin Tonic and he guided me with precision through their large Gin and Tonic arsenal respectively.
Which resulted in a new favourite combination.

The breakfast buffet was also very delicious.
Good coffee.

Perfect location for exploring the city.

The only downside is the parking situation which arises because of the great central location of the Hotel.

Very good hotel experience ideally located in the center of Basel. The staff is exceptionally friendly and supportive. Bedding is comfortable and clean. Breakfast is okay but unfortunately lacks hot dishes. Room TVs are good, too bad it isn't possible to cast own content from a laptop or phone.

Great service, great location, I don’t know why washcloths aren’t a thing, but the room is a good size, the breakfast was generous, in the staff was extremely helpful

We were here for only one night at the beginning of March. At first everything seemed very very good. Clearly location is perfect, being close by to the city center and most of the places you would like to visit, but in our room we only had one small blanket (really it was for one person as it was not even covering whole bed..) and also the windows were not enough sound proof..The worst happened the folowing day when we wanted to visit the Zoo and to use the vouchers they gave us. Surprise..it was valid for only one person, and the hotel mentioned nothing, actually the way they expressed made it clear that is is the both of us..What if I did not had the money?? What if I used the public transport that was supposed to be free for both of us via that voucher and I got a fine??

Same like all other Motel One in Europe, at least those that I have stayed at before, the room doesn’t comes with any coffee/tea amenities. Bring your own J-plug adaptor. Room comes with UsB charger. The Christmas market is just outside the hotel. Generally it’s a nice simple no frill hotel.

I was here with a group in December 2023 during the Christmas market. We were there for business and only stayed one night, but it was a great experience and we would absolutely recommend anyone stay here in Basel. We were hesitant based on "Motel" in the name, but the lobby/bar area was great and the bartender made some of the best drinks we had on our trip. The rooms were nice and very comfortable. It was a wonderful experience and we look forward to coming back!

Rooms have no coffee or tea making facilities.
Breakfast is understated and having to sit on a wooden bench with others not my idea of a quiet breakfast.
Rooms are bare no pictures or a telephone.
Drinks exorbitant prices need a bank loan for two drinks
Courtyard view was of a building opposite with ducted air conditioning.

In der Lobby 15 Minuten gewartet, keine Bedienung! Es waren 3 Angestellte die „Privates“ diskutierten.
Es hatte 3 Gäste.
Als ich mich erhob, mich fertig bekleidete und ging - keine Aufmerksamkeit.

Hotel sulla Berfusserplatz, ottima scelta per visitare i mercatini di Natale.
A piedi si arriva ovunque, dalla stazione sono circa 10 minuti a piedi, ma il tram 8 e l'11 fermano proprio di fronte all'hotel.
Il design è un tratto distintivo molto piacevole, così come la comodità dei letti con doppio cuscino.
La colazione a pagamento, 19 franchi a persona, onestamente è troppo cara per l'offerta fornita, anche se in effetti in Svizzera è caro praticamente tutto.
Nei dintorni varie opzioni di ristoranti e caffetterie.

Schwer mit dem Auto zugänglich und keine Parkmöglichkeit am Hotel. Doppelbetten relativ schmal. Super Service und sehr freundliches Personal.

Bericht Dez. 2022:
Sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel, die nächste Parkgarage ca 6 min zu Fuss entfernt. Buchen kann man unkompliziert ohne Kreditkarte. Die reservation verfällt dann einfach am Anreisetag um 18.00 h. Sehr freundliches Personal. Geräumige und saubere Zimmer! Das Frühsrücksbuffet kann man separat dazubuchen. Dem Preis angemessen, d.h. bei der Vielfalt besteht noch etwas Luft nach oben.
Sonst aber sehr gutes Preis / Leistungsverhältniss

Wieder das One für 1 Nacht zum Besuch des Basler Weihnachtsmarkt, gebucht
Vorab, Die Lage ist halt schon top, mitten im Weihnachtsmarkt....
Zimmer wie letztes Jahr sehr sauber, freundliches Personal

Allerdings sind die Zimmer teurer geworden und der Abzug bei den Sternen ist v.a. wegen dem Frühstück:
Dies wird in der Lobby gegessen.. sehr wenige Sitz / Essgelefenheiten. Um 09.00 h gabs kein Platz. Uns wurde an der Bar ein Kaffee serviert. Da wir stehen mussten, ging es zurück ins Zimmer. Eine Stunde später hatte es zwar platz, gemütlichkeit geht aber anders. Es zog und war sehr kalt. Ist auch klar wenn dauernd die Eingangstür auf und zu geht.

Letztes Jahr war es wärmer da merkt man das vielleicht weniger... aber so macht das Frühstück nur halb so viel Freude....

Hôtel idéalement placé.
Personnel sympathique et avenant.
Chambre double très spacieuse et moderne, prévue pour les personnes à mobilité réduite.
Coin lounge super agréable où nous avons pu déguster d'excellents cocktails.
Nous avons adoré et reviendons avec grand plaisir lors de notre prochaine visite dans mon canton de naissance ????
