L'hôtel Kríunes est l'un des secrets les mieux gardés de la ville où vous pourrez combiner les avantages de la ville et de la campagne... à condition d'être motorisé. Situé à l'est de Kópavogur (route 41), dans un quartier résidentiel juste en bordure de la belle Elliðavatn, vous vous sentez coupé du monde mais toujours à seulement 15 minutes du centre-ville. Les vues depuis les chambres avec salle de bains privative sont uniques. Possibilité de prendre un bateau ou un kayak jusqu'au lac, puis de profiter du bain à remous et du sauna.

Room was excellent, nice view of lake, breakfast was also above average compared to other hotels we stayed at.b
The only issue we had is that we arrived at 6:40am and the door was locked. We called the number posted for late check-ins and no answer. After standing there for a few minutes and ringing doorbell a staff member who I think was preparing the 7am breakfast came to the door and let us in. She then said check-in wasn't until 7am and wed need to wait. So we proceeded to sit there for 20mins until the employee who was working the desk came in from outside.
Just wish that when I checked in online and said that we'd arrive between 2-7am (was a drop-down of arrival time options) that they would have said that we wouldn't be able to actually get into our room because the front desk is unstaffed. Was a minor annoyance but if wed arrived earlier at say 4am would have been a very long wait.

This hotel was absolutely fantastic. The manager/concierge? Rockaus helped us with everything! He was so informative and quick to respond to any need! The breakfast available at the hotel ensured we started everyday ready to go, and having the option of dinner made our days stress free. The number one thing was the ability to step onto out patio and have a prime slot to view the Northern Lights. We will return!

Ein rundum toller Aufenthalt! Super Service, unglaublich freundliche Mitarbeiter. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen Hotel Kriunes gerne weiter! Sollten wir wieder nach Island reisen, kommen wir bestimmt wieder.

This is one of my favorite boutique hotels I've ever stayed in. We initially were booked to stay at the Hi Loft Hostel in Reykjavik, and upon entering (for nearly $100+) I immediately said "nope" and hopped online to find a new spot.
When I saw Hotel Kriunes, we booked it immediately and we drove out to check in. We had a beautiful superior room (highly recommend staying in one of these downstairs rooms, it was heated nicely and felt cozy, had beautiful views, and was very quiet!) Super comfortable bed and some of the best shower pressure I've experienced! The hot tubs were great as well! Breakfast included.
We ended up extending our trip 1 extra day to see the northern lights, and got a room the same day - they were so kind and remembered us!
While you are about 20 minutes outside of the main city area - as long as you have a car, it's nice to feel tucked away in a private oasis in the evenings. You may even catch a glimpse of the lights!
