BED BUGS ALERT

I stayed in room 232 for one week. I ended up with a RAVAGED back and neck full of bites. A lot of them were in a line of three which is how bed bugs usually bite. I would say I have been bitten over 40 times, without exageration. In the morning I showed them my bites and asked to change room and they said they would first check the room to see if they could find the bugs. I insisted on a new room and they agreed to give me a new one for my last night. Kind of crazy that all my bites werent a solid enough proof…

Then I told them the whole content of my suitcase needed to be washed as my suitcase was left open on the floor by the bed. They told me I would have to pay for it because they hadn’t found any bugs in my room. I insisted once again. Bed bugs only come out in the dark. Washing my clothes at 60 degrees is basically a necessity. They finally agreed. I had to spend the day in my friend’s clothes. Lucky I had a friend staying there, or else what?

In the evening when I came back to pick up my clothes they said they werent ready yet, that it would take 24h. Except I had to leave the next day which is clearly marked in the system, so I found it strange that the clothes hadnt been taken cared of.

Next morning I go to pick up my clothes and they say the clothes are still wet that they need another few hours… But I had to be in my train in 2h…!! I went myself in their laundry room to check the state of the clothes. Walked in on a man holding every single one of my underwear in his hands. I just put everything in bags and went back to my room to pack. Some items were brought to be dryed quickly but came back still damp an hour later. At that point it had been over 24h since I handed in my clothes. Im confused as why it took so long to take care of them.

Worst part is: I ran into clients staying in room 232. They put people in the room the same day I moved out because of the bed bugs!!!!!!!!

No excuses were given, no compensation, no kindness, no care.

I’m usually a very patient person, but the level of annoyance I’ve experienced with the handling of the situation was HIGH. I didn’t feel cared for what so ever… contrary, I felt like ‘I’ was a nuisance to ‘them’. Bed bugs can happen out of one’s control, I get that. But the way you interact with people, that you always have control over.

The positive part of my stay: the juicer at the very mediocre breakfast.

I never write bad reviews, but obviously had to make an exception for this experience.

The main or maybe the only good thing about this hotel is its location, a few meters away from the lotto metro station, where number 1 and 5 metro lines are crossing. It is very close to the San Siro stadium and also 3-5 minutes walk from Malpensa express bus station.
Now about the room, it was very small, even the bed was small, if I were 1.90 meter tall, my legs would hang over the bed. The mattress and the pillows weren't soft enough. No cups or kettle in the room. The hotel reception doesn't work after 11 pm, so if you want to have a cup of tea after that no way. But they are glad to help during working hours.
