Our welcome was very mediocre. We were made to feel a bit unwelcome without a reservation. Our halibut was very salty, even though I ordered mine plain. I asked if it was marinated or soaked in a brine, and our waitress said no. Maybe it was a few days old and the brine was meant to hide that it was not very fresh. Halibut should not be super fishy. Skip the fish. My vegetables were not how i ordered them, so the attention to detail is very much lacking for what you expect and what you are paying. A big miss.

Yesterday had dinner there with my wife and brother for my birthday, the scallop starter for 18euro was terrible, sealed on one side knly the white bean garnish was very old and no seasoning.. my brothers Beetroot an goatcheese starter was mediocre at best.. tiny very under seasoned portion.. no where near worth the value of 16 euro... shameful..
For dinner my wife risotto was mushy very overcooked.. braised leeks had no flavour was definitely cooked in water and not stock.. 32euro ridiculous.. my sirloin cost 39 euro and they poured jus on top of it the hide the gray colour on outside when I asked for peppersauce on side an not a jus.. I didn't get that.. my brothers steak fritz cost him 35euro for 7oz rump n chips.. ceaser salad side was mixed in mayo with anchovy pieces on top with Parmesan very lazy .. not a ceaser dressing.. not good.. to finish creme brule my god the amount of sugar on top was like breaking real glass.. way too much sugar bruled was mediocre.. Marco pierr white is my favourite chef but unfortunately none of his teachings or experience has educated any chefs that work in this restaurant.. honestly anyone who had any involvement with my scallop starter definitely never ate a scallop before.. was cooked in oil not finished in butter an no salt pepper was literally the worst scallop dish I've ever had in my life... I'm a chef 11 years in Dublin worked everywhere.. I love food an that was not worth the crazy price they charge.. sorry to the king Marco it was not worth the money atal we went home an ordered Chinese

We recently returned for my partner's birthday, hoping to recreate the fantastic experience we had on our previous visit (which earned a solid 9 out of 10!). Unfortunately, this time around, the experience fell significantly short of expectations.

We ordered the ribeye and centre-cut steaks, both cooked medium. While the steaks themselves were average at best, the biggest disappointment was the "surf" in our surf and turf. The prawns were mushy and bland, tasting like they had been sitting for a long time. This was particularly concerning, given the restaurant's supposed high-end positioning.

To add to the issues, the side dishes arrived a full 5 minutes after the steaks, leaving us waiting with cooling food. This, combined with the lack of attention compared to our previous visit, suggested a significant drop in service quality. Notably, the overall ambiance, which we previously enjoyed, also seemed less vibrant.

The biggest letdown was the abrupt "no" when we inquired about the signature Cashel blue cheese steak sauce we remembered from our prior visit.

Considering the high prices, the experience was a stark contrast to our initial impression. Unfortunately, due to the disappointing food and service, we won't be returning to anytime soon!!

This place is so overrated! We went for Valentine’s Day and not worth it at all. First of all, we ordered a bottle of wine , steaks, sides and it took 50 minutes to arrive to our table, in the meantime we didn’t get any bread and butter like every table. We were literally the only table who didn’t get it, service was was slow , food was average , wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Ambience is great, music not too loud so yoh can have a conversation easily and the food was amazing.

Food was tasty and staff friendly. It was expensive for the amount of food you got but what restaurant isnt these days. Just dont arrive starving eat before hand. Would eat here again.

Really enjoyed our lunch today. Service was sublime. Food was very good overall. Excellent menu. Would have liked more tartare in the starter. Not sure accompanied crisps do much. Great value in lunch specials. Restaurant has just been refurbished and has a great atmosphere.

The matire d' was exceedingly unwelcoming and was devoid of any charm.
The quality of our dining experience fell dramatically short of what we expected. No one from our party was satisfied. The food came out cold and overcooked and was far below the standard of what MPW boasts.
Considering the high prices this place really didn't cut the mustard

Was here last nite food was veg was cold steak was cold service was shocking we had to give back the wine it was corked took 30 minutes after the starter for the dinner to come out I have been to marco Pierre steak house lots of times but no apology for the shocking food we certainly should not have been charged for one of the dinners that was not eaten sadly I won’t be returning

Dublin est une des capitales européennes les plus chaleureuses ... mais pas nécessairement réputée pour son art de la table. Tout cela était vrai jusqu'à ce que Marco Pierre y ouvre un établissement. Désormais, vous pourrez y déjeuner / diner dans un cadre très agréable. Service impeccable, très bonne carte des vins et viande cuite comme souhaitée, c.-à-d. pas carbonisée. Mérite le détour entre deux pubs !
