Going to any Michelin restaurant is an experience It's a peak behind the curtain to the magic, madness, and circus that it takes to achieve this goal. No madness here just a well oiled machine powered by great employees. If you plan on coming to Dublin plan on booking a dinner here you won't regret it and you'll always remember it.

Service here is second to none. Some of the most amazing front of house and wait team I have ever encountered. Good food, cooked well although - a little out dated for Dublin. Atmosphere can be good, but often empty tables can leave the ambience lacking. A very reliable dinner/ lunch in Dublin. Would I go often, no, you can get same, yet more exciting Michelin star quality food in Dublin.

All I can say is that, for a meal for two people, the final bill was somewhere above five hundred euro.

And that this did not seem unfair, or poor value. We did not leave unsatisfied.

This is something we saved up for for months and it was worth the effort.

The service and wine was exceptional but on the other hand the food price didn’t match the quality and fell short of my expectations.

Dining at Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud was an extraordinary culinary experience that transcended expectations. The ambience exuded elegance, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. The service was impeccable, with a staff attuned to every detail.

What truly stood out was the exceptional wine list. Patrick Guilbaud’s commitment to offering a diverse and curated selection of wines elevated the dining experience. From the finest vintages to hidden gems, the sommelier’s expertise added a layer of sophistication to each course.

The menu showcased culinary artistry, presenting dishes that were not only visually stunning but also a symphony of flavors. Each plate was a testament to the chef’s dedication to perfection, using premium ingredients with precision.

Overall, Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud is a gastronomic gem where every aspect, from the ambiance to the cuisine, is a celebration of culinary excellence. A special nod to the outstanding wine list, making it a must-visit for connoisseurs and those seeking an unparalleled dining experience.

A treat for the senses. Was lucky enough to dine here with my partner and his family recently. I'd recommend the Croquette of Suckling Pig to start and Venison for main. I was also lucky enough not to have to foot the bill! Lovely for a special occasion.

Had this on my list for a long time and had heard mixed things but was keen to see for myself. Went for lunchtime tasting menu. Very conscious of the price point and stsndard expected so i dont feel bad being harsh.

Of immediate note was the amateurish service from beginning to end. Did not feel polished or attentive, certainly not what one would expect from a 2 star. This was honestly the worst part of the experience. Things like not delivering plates at same time, not explaining the course, appearing rushed or dis interested.

The room itself was dated and uninviting. Felt like any generic hotel restaurant with tables crammed in. Again comparing to chapter one I was very aware of other tables and not focused on our own.

Food was what I'd call "standard tasting menu" fair, and exactly what I'd expect. Good overall but not Wow, which at that price point is what is expected. Fois grais course was the highlight.

Overall the experience was fine, but I would not recommend or go back. At that price point the experience was very disappointing. The gold standard in Dublin is the likes of chapter one, and Guilbaud just felt like an inferior experience in comparison. Staff and crowded dining room being the big disappointments

Wonderful dining experience. It's like attending a performance of culinary artistry. Each dish is a delight and between each course there's a little taster or something to clear the palette. Obviously it's pricey but it such a treat for a rare special occasion. The service was also excellent and very friendly too.

A treat like no other. We spent four hours having the most indulgent of lunches. All of the staff that engaged with us taught us something new about our food, wine and cheese. A rare experience and one I have enjoyed perhaps 10 times. This was the best.

Each year my snr staff and I from the Chefs Table in Bristol go on a day out to eat in the best of the best fine dining restaurants. This place will not disappoint. Modern interior but at the same time keeping classic French values. We opted for the surprise tasting menu and it did not disappoint, every dish was tremendous. The service was excellent, I really can not recommend this place more. If you are going to Dublin and you like fine dining with classic French food then this place is for you. One of our best outings for long time.

An absolutely amazing spot. Flawless from start to finish. Formal without being the least bit stuffy. The service was perfection: knowledgeable with just the right amount of humor. And not at all intrusive. The food was among the best I’ve ever eaten and I’m a fussy New Yorker. The two Michelin stars are well deserved and I’d vote for a third.

The staff pretend to be French - one slipped into a broad Irish accent then realised and went back to pretending to be French. The food is completely overpriced and not good - the curry sauce on the lobster starter tasted like they'd just bought a packet of Hellman's curry sauce and added water.
Total waste of money
But if you want to experience comedy gold and have very deep pockets, Patrick's restaurant is fabulous ????
