This is a lovely site. Pitches are big and we had electric and gas. The Poole is modern and fresh a very good shop and bar on site. Very close to the port which is why we used it. I would definitely recommend it and definitely use again

Sehr großer parkähnlicher Campingplatz. Teils durch Büsche und Bäume unterteilt. Stellplätze großzügig bemessen. Ruhig, trotz Autobahnnähe. Kleiner Laden vorhanden... Baguette leider minderer Qualität. Resto mit reichhaltiger Speisekarte ab 17 Uhr geöffnet. Leider nur ein großes, ziemlich neues aber sauberes Sanitär, je nach Lage des Stellplatzes ein ziemlicher Weg. Leider gibt es massive Probleme mit der Stromversorgung. Da dieser CP, selbst in der NS, recht teuer ist (40,- € ) könnte man mehr erwarten.

This being at least my 11th visit, yet again the chateau never fails our D day commemoration trips.|Our camping pitch was perfect in the orchard, surroundings splendid, history incredible, food and drink were sublime, and staff in all departments were simply brilliant.|Don’t waste your time searching around, the chateau is the best in the area, and I assure you we have tried most.|Well done team, and see you next year.

Schöner Campingplatz in einer sehr gepflegten Anlage. Das englischsprachige Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die modernen Sanitäranlegen sind immer sauber und ausreichend vorhanden.
Brötchenservice im kleinen Shop zu zivilen Preisen.
Das Restaurant bietet tolle Speisen zu ebenso zivilen Preisen. Das Personal spricht auch Englisch und ist sehr freundlich.
Die Übernachtungspreise sind etwas höher, aber angemessen für das Angebot.
Einziges Manko: Gegen Abend sinkt die Stromspannung auf 195 - 200 Volt - unserem Dometic Absorber-Kühlschrank hat das nicht gefallen...

Nice place, beautiful scenery.
Campground was clean, shady and roomy. Sanitary facilities could be nicer.

Location ist very good, close to Caen and Shopping possibilities, but also close to historic sites and not in a touristically crowded spot.

Price was the only/major negative point. around 50€ per night for traveling with a tent. For this rate i would expect more cleanliness and modernized facilities.

This is such a beautiful campsite! We’ve been away in our campervan for a month and still talk about it. The Chateau is really pretty, we camped with friends in our vans under apple trees, the kids rode around on their bikes and swum in the pool, we sat in the evenings at the bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers cleaned frequently to a good standard. We also went on day trips to the beach which were fun. Def recommend.

Stopped here for a night. Reception staff and shop staff lovely.|Food in restaurant was delicious|The grounds were beautiful and clean.|However we went to the restaurant. Approached the waitress to enquire if they seat us or we have to book or find ourself a seat. But before I could even open my mouth she shouted while walking away from us 'IF YOU WANT TO SPEAK ENGLISH GO TO THE BAR" We were taken aback. While I waited for the barman he was speaking to another English person who wanted to get change for the pool table.... He said "I CAN'T CHANGE YOU MONEY I'M NOT A BANK" I saw another man who asked for help with carrying drinks as he had broken arm|.. The barman refused.. He ended up making 4 trips to carry drinks.|Very very rude and obnoxious. Which spoiled our stay. Had we not had a long drive and had no food we would have walked out......

Stopped for one night with the motorhome. After a long stressful drive getting lost due to say nav and poor weather not helping mood. Site is beautiful and staff in reception were lovely and food was delicious, this meant it scraped to 2 stars. Otherwise i have never been to a place with the rudest barman/ restaurant manager and the worst rudest waitress I have ever had the misfortune to have.

I walked in and I could see it looked busy. I didn't know if I needed to book table or sit anyway. As I approached the waitress, I hadn't said a word and she shouted abruptly and rudely while walking away " IF YOU WANT TO SPEAK ENGLISH GO TO BAR"!!!! my wife and I looked at each other shocked. But went to the bar. I heard the barman say to a female who was asking for change for the pool table "I can't change it, I'm not a bank" she walked away shocked. I managed to book a table for an hour after. We then spoke to another customer who had seen both interactions and he told me that he asked if the barman could help him carry another drink as his arm was broken... "No I'm not carrying a drinks for you you will have to do the trips yourself" he had to do for trips himself for his wife and 2 children..
Hearing the waitress shouting. "you must wait for me to finish this first"

As I say the food was delicious and the rest of the place lovely but the restaurant staff needed training or a holiday themselves

Der Standort selbst und der Blick auf das Chateau sind recht schön. Aber das rechtfertigt nicht den hohen Preis. Zumal die sanitären Einrichtungen nicht nur zu wenig, zu klein und zu alt sind. Sie waren auch alles Andere als sauber. Bei dem Preis stellt man sich schon etwas anderes vor.

Goede plekken, goed restaurant.

Prima camping. Mooie ruime vlakke plaatsen met stroom op de plek. Watertappunten op loopafstand. Sanitairgebouw was goed. Veel wc's, wat minder douches. De ontvangst was vriendelijk. Het restaurant is prima. Lekkere gerechten voor een normale prijs op een super locatie. De WiFi is matig,maar goed het is wel gratis. Uitstapjes naar de bekende Normandische stranden en Bayeux. Fietsen in de omgeving is prima te doen, wel wat kleine hellingen.
Kortom een goede locatie om wat langer te blijven.

Camping is mooi gelegen voor bezoek aan de invasiestranden. Alles binnen een half uur rijden.
Sanitair op de camping is deels vernieuwd maar een deel is ook zeer verouderd en vaak vies en het stinkt.
Ook is er geen verlichting ‘s nachts voor een groot deel op de camping en zijn er geen kraantjes op de camping.

Un avre de paix et de calme avec tout le confort pour passer d'excellentes vacances !

Pitch in the orchard

Op het eerste oog een mooie camping in een mooie omgeving, van waaruit je de omgeving goed kunt bekijken. De camping is behoorlijk ruim opgezet en redelijk rustig. Maar als je beter kijkt….het Chateau zelf, er is sprake van het nodige (constructieve) achterstallige onderhoud; het sanitair is ondermaats oa omdat het gemengd is voor m/v; de wasruimtes, douches en toiletten niet van elkaar gescheiden zijn; de sanitaire ruimte niet is betegeld en zodanig is vervaardigd dat deze lastig te reinigen is en dus niet echt hygiënisch is; de bediening aan de achterzijde van het restaurant vaak buiten staat (o.a.roken), de buitendeur altijd openstaat, ik begrijp dit wel maar gepast gedrag mag er wel zijn, men praat en lacht zelfs om 0:00 uur gewoon zo luidt alsof het ‘s middags is.
Alleen het allerlaatste punt is echt bezwaarlijk. Omdat we er slechts enkele dagen waren heb ik niet de moeite genomen om het bespreekbaar te maken.

Mooie camping en ideaal gelegen om de invasiestranden te bezoeken. Wij werden er vriendelijk onthaald.
Wij hadden gelukkig een mooie plek afgezet met haagjes en bloemen de plaatsen zijn ruim. Er is veel verloop vooral aan de toegangsweg....van de toegangsweg gesproken... wat een drukte!! Er zijn 2 sanitaire voorzieningen een kleintje vooraan die echt gedateerd en niet altijd netjes is, ook een groter die vernieuwd is maar in mijn ogen is die veel te klein volgens de capaciteit en ook niet altijd netjes. In heel mijn leven nog nooit zo'n triestige douches meegemaakt er kwam amper water uit de kraan en was niet overdreven warm.
Brood moest niet gereserveerd worden wat een pluspunt is.

Superleuke kleinschalige kasteelcamping met alles wat je nodig hebt. Zwembad, visvijver, voetbalveld, ballen en rackets, verse croissantjes en pizza in het restaurant.
Wij verbleven met kids (1 en 4 jaar) in de huurtent, erg leuk!
Vanaf de drukkere weken activiteiten als een totebag beschilderen of marshmallows roosteren.
Op 25 minuten tal van uitstapjes (ook bij slecht weer). Dikke aanrader!

Kamperen rondom en in de tuinen van het kasteel heeft wel iets. Prima sanitair en eten is eveneens goed. Leuke bediening tegen prima prijzen.

Beautiful grounds and setting, lovely drive in. Fairly large pitches, depends on where you are but quite open rather than enclosed. Amazing shop with fair prices and brilliant croissants etc in the morning. Nice bar in the courtyard with pool and table football. Lovely helpful staff. Good facilities and a clean pool in the garden and free tennis courts, football goals, badminton nets etc which is brilliant for kids. Our only mild concern when arriving was how close it was to the motorway (about half a mile) but in actual fact from the pitches you could hardly hear the noise so didn’t really bother us. Would highly recommend.

Ideal stopover from Caen ferry to Brittany. Excellent facilities in the grounds of a former chateau. We parked in an orchard near the swimming pool and used its sanitary facilities which were excellent. Really good bar with terrace. Easy journey to Bayeux and the Normandy beaches. Easy access onto the road to Brittany.

Quand vous passez par le site internet, il faut appeler pour confirmer la réservation.
Après plusieurs appels, il a été enfin confirmé que le camping est complet. Soit.
En attendant, la caution de la réservation est prélevée !
Déplorable, aucun prélèvement de caution ne devrait être faisable si le camping est complet !
Réceptionniste peu agréable (mais sans doute dépassé en cette période de commémoration du débarquement). Cependant, cela n’autorise pas le manque de courtoisie pour autant !
Dommage pour nous, le camping avait pourtant l’air chouette !

NB : plus de 2 semaines après, remboursement de la caution toujours pas effectué.
Il faut appeler et relancer le propriétaire pour retrouver son dû !
Attention à ne pas vous faire avoir …

Château situé sur un immense terrain avec une allée de 900 m de long, très calme. Propriétaires jeunes et sympathiques qui ont volontiers donné des informations sur le château : Plusieurs propriétaires précédents, bâtiment temporairement très négligé, dans lequel les propriétaires actuels investissent chaque centime qu'ils tirent de la location de chambres, des événements et du camping environnant. Grandes chambres avec salles de bains en partie rénovées, salle de petit-déjeuner confortable. Grande piscine chauffée à 400 m du château. On n'a rien remarqué du camping très fréquenté, tellement le terrain est immense. Un calme absolu ! Bien sûr, ce n'est pas un hôtel étoilé, mais il a beaucoup de charme - et il est bon marché !

J'ai payé un acompte sur ma carte de crédit, mais je n'ai pas pu y aller, et j'ai donc demandé un remboursement.
4 semaines plus tard, 4 emails plus tard, plus un message direct via leur site web, et j'attends toujours....
J'ai dû leur fournir mes coordonnées bancaires et mon numéro IBAN. Ils m'ont dit que cela prendrait "un certain temps" pour me renvoyer l'argent. J'ATTENDS TOUJOURS !

Beau site, beau jardin de château. Champs spacieux, verts et variés, emplacements spacieux.
Anciens blocs sanitaires datés, mais propres et spacieux. Bâtiment principal moderne et spacieux, bonne eau chaude, beaucoup de supports. Eau du robinet bien potable.
Belle piscine, assez grande et profonde, chauffée, légèrement salée.
Personnel sympathique. Beaucoup d'informations à la réception. Belle boutique de camping, grand choix et pain disponible toute la journée.
Fréquentation internationale, compositions diverses. Nous avons remarqué qu'il y avait beaucoup de personnes qui restaient peu de temps, un débit assez important.
Bon restaurant, bonne nourriture, personnel sympathique. Dommage qu'ils n'ouvrent qu'à 17h, il n'est donc pas possible de prendre un café ou un verre dans la journée, ce qui est dommage car la cour est agréable.
Wifi autour de la réception et du restaurant, fonctionne bien.
Une grande route traversante est proche, nous avions peur des nuisances sonores, heureusement injustifiées, pas de nuisance. Nous avons subi un vent de force 5, nous avons senti un peu de vent, mais les grandes haies et la rangée d'arbres en ont arrêté beaucoup.
Le village où se trouve le camping n'a pas de commodités, agréable à traverser, mais c'est à peu près tout.
Conseils pour les environs : Bayeux, Honfleur, Tourville sur Mer, Sainte Mere Eglise, route Saint Marie du Mont via Utah Beach jusqu'à Saint Vaast la Hougue. Ainsi que les sites historiques comme Omaha Beach, le cimetière américain, etc.

Camping dans un environnement spectaculaire = un château.
Grandes parcelles avec de l'herbe.
Peu de points d'eau, et ceux qui existent ne sont pas très adéquats, ils n'ont pas de drains et c'est toujours boueux.
La piscine est chauffée et bien entretenue.
Nous ne pouvons utiliser que le bloc sanitaire le plus récent. Il faudrait améliorer la propreté.
La température de l'eau dans les toilettes n'est pas réglable et il fait chaud.
Il y a un petit magasin avec des produits de première nécessité. Il y a aussi du pain et des viennoiseries, mais on ne peut pas les commander et ils ouvrent à 9 heures le matin, ce qui est trop tard si vous voulez déjeuner tôt le matin et sortir pour visiter la région. Nous avons été très surpris par ce point en France....
Il y a un restaurant, la nourriture et le service sont bons. Il n'est pas bon marché. Ils ne servent que le déjeuner.

Nous venons de rentrer d'une semaine au Château de Martragny... quel bonheur ! Une atmosphère détendue dans un cadre magnifique. Les équipements sont parfaits pour les enfants et les adultes. La piscine et l'espace sont magnifiques - et quelle toile de fond ! Beaucoup de gens semblaient rester "en route" vers un autre endroit - nous sommes restés une semaine et nous ne nous sommes pas lassés du camping. Les journées à Arromanche, Asnelles, Bayeux, Honfleur et Deauville ont rendu le voyage encore plus mémorable. Même un orage et quelques tentes inondées (entièrement de notre faute !) n'ont pas entamé notre moral. En parlant d'eau, le bloc des douches était moderne, propre et toujours avec de l'eau chaude et beaucoup de papier hygiénique - les choses importantes ! ||Quelques conseils:|- Pensez à l'endroit où vous voulez installer votre emplacement - je demanderais un emplacement près du château/de la piscine, pas sur l'allée (bien que vous ayez probablement plus d'espace ici)|- Assurez-vous d'être à la boutique bien approvisionnée à 08:55 pour l'ouverture à 09 :00 pour choisir parmi les délicieuses pâtisseries et baguettes|- Le restaurant ouvre à 17h00 - il y a beaucoup de monde, alors arrivez tôt si vous devez coucher les enfants - mais nous n'étions pas pressés et avons apprécié les repas savoureux (moules et hamburgers fortement recommandés - les pizzas ont également eu beaucoup de succès !) - et la serveuse, Cécile ( ?) est une vraie joie et court partout pour s'assurer que tout le monde est content!|- Adultes - si vous voulez nager tranquillement, assurez-vous de faire un plongeon tôt le matin quand la piscine ouvre à 9 heures et qu'elle est super calme et paradisiaque dans le soleil du matin - jusqu'à ce que les enfants descendent vers 10 heures ! (elle est chauffée à 23-24 degrés, ce qui est un peu glacial quand vous entrez pour la première fois, mais glorieux quand vous commencez - et vaut le brrrrr initial ....)||Je vous recommande vivement ...|
