Simplement wow!!! On peut aller à pied visiter la ville, les restaurants et la piste cyclable.

We stayed at Flotel Valleyfield for the 2024 eclipse. There were two couples in our group and Flotel honored our request to have adjoining cabins. Thank you for that! The cabin was cozy with comfortable accommodations including a queen bed, mini-fridge and fluffy cushions for the firepit on the outside deck. The rooftop patio was great for viewing the eclipse which we experienced at 100% totality. During our stay, we did encounter one maintenance issue which was handled promptly. The pump to our shower had malfunctioned and after texting the company, they had sent someone and it was repaired in a few hours. We totally enjoyed this new experience as we had never stayed on a floating hotel other than a cruise ship. Would recommend to anyone seeking an adventure. There is some wildlife in the area, we saw plenty of birds and also a beaver. We also love that it was convenient to local restaurants so there was no need to drive everywhere. Overall, a great place to stay and sightsee.

I chose this place as I thought this would be a fun concept but I was very disappointed after staying just two nights. The reviews I initially saw said that this place was clean, and to my standards, it was not. I really did not like the smell, it reeked of moldy wood. Also when I first came in, I touched one of the screen doors and it fell right on the ground. I stayed here in February, which in hindsight was not a good idea. I can see how this place can be fun in the summer, but honestly it was a horrible experience. I was in the area for work and I do not have a vehicle, this area is very dead this season and it was very hard for me to get food and a lift. Did not enjoy coming back to this place after a day of work. Also, for a place by the river, youd expect them to be prepared and have a dehumidifier, but they didn’t and thats is probably why the place smells like mold.

Le flotel est downtown, dans le trafic!
Cabine dysfonctionnel, espace perdu partout, aucune ventilation, en canicule c'est pénible, mal nettoyer, sans commodité. J'ai souvent été dans des logis autosuffisant, et c'est de loin le plus déplaisants et mal pensé de tous!
Je ne recommande pas du tout!
Sans oublier le déjeuner laisser dans la Cabine à la chaleur depuis je ne sais combien de temps, fruits moisis. Voir photos.

La chambre et particulièrement le service sont impeccables.

À notre arrivé, la femme de chambre a accepté de préparer notre chambre en priorité afin que nous puisons nous installer plus rapidement.

Une machine Nespresso et des capsules sont fournies gratuitement dans les chambres. Nous en avons manqué et la femme de chambre nous en a amené d’autres gratuitement.

Le personnel est très polie et souriant.

Les cabines sont situé dans la baie St François et offrent une magnifique vue sur la fontaine et le coucher du soleil. L’eau est vraiment belle et encore plus un peu plus loin près du parc des hirondelles où l’eau est limpide.

Le seul bémol est la proximité avec le boulevard où il y a beaucoup de voitures qui circulent et font du bruit. Cependant, tout le reste est parfait et le Flotel (Valleyfield) est devenu un incontournable pour nous!

Il fait très chaud dans la cabine. Pas d’air conditionné et juste une mini fan. On a du acheter une fan pour avoir plus d’air. Le lit pas confortable pour deux.on c’est apporter nos chaise longue pour relaxer et une chance. Très belle emplacement et vu. Y a pas de micro ondes pour se faire à manger.
Très beau site. Wifi à lâcher qq fois.. douche eau chaude dure à conserver ça changeait au 30 seconde froid et chaud lol ???? ça fesait faire des sots!
C’était plaisant quand même mais avoir su en pleine canicule j’aurais peut être choisi ailleurs….

tres belle experience pour une soiree en amoureux! tu t installe sur le bord de l eau avec un petit verre de vino et un petit feu! gros coussin pour l exterieur! lit confortable. c est tres propre! petit frigo
cafetiere. on est surpris de boir comment c est bien meme si c est dans un container! merci a voir! si besoin y a aussi un petit lit futon simple si vous avez un enfant!

We were really disapointed by the location of the Flotel. It is right next to a really busy street, wich you don't see in the pictures on their website. I consider this a scam and false representation of what it really is. The rooms are small and there is no airflow so it gets hot and humid. Also, in the add it says we have access to a refrigerator, but it is actually so small, nothing fits in there. For the price, this is not worth it, would not recommend.

Quelle superbe expérience! Arrivée sans soucis, c’est propre et sécuritaire. Deux verres à pied à disposition. Machine à café. Prévoir un ouvre bouteille si vous voulez prendre un apéro en terrasse. Belle vue. Feu très agréable. Salle de bain super!! Lit vraiment confortable! Bref, vous l’aurez compris, j’ai ADORÉ!

Thanks to Owner and Manger, Expedia canceled my booking because they did not tell the condition of the Flotel, I lost my reservation for my vacation, but by contacting to then Flotel manager, I got better deal and my reservation back. Thank You.
amazing place for summer, liked the view. Just water around was little not clean we could not swim.

It’s a small space, but so comfy and fun. The room is very clean, we were in off season so no breakfast, gas fire pit on private deck that looks onto water very nice on cool morning to enjoy coffee. Minutes from delicious restaurants. Nespresso machine nice. The shower made us giggle, but was perfect in the small bathroom. No parking ticket as some stated. Have laminated pass to put in window of car for overnight. IMPORTANT though…you must park properly! We saw others getting ticketed for not following signs posted to angle park. Wish we could have stayed longer! Sliding door next to bed looks onto water. Calming, peaceful vacation vibe. Loved it!

Impossible de dormir là à cause des vagues. C’est pas affichée sur l’annonce que ça flotte. C’est affichée que c’est sur le bord de l’eau, mais pas que ça flotte. L’odeur était désagréable et le manque de politesse du propriétaire. A déconseiller pour les claustrophobes.

Voir les photos nous a motivé à y aller, mais ça ressemble plus à un "love hotel", trop petits espaces, on ne pouvait pas s'attendre à plus d'un container ! Nous avions peur d'être condamnés à une amende pour avoir laissé la voiture si longtemps dans l'estacionnement du parc proche; il n'y a pas d'identification d'hôtel là-bas. l'éclairage la nuit était fatal, on ne voyait rien al'extérieur pour pouvoir rentrer; je le déconseille d'y aller en hiver. La vue sur la rivière gelée était correcte mais nous voulions quelque chose de plus réservé et l'emplacement n'était pas bon. la seule bonne chose, le lit était confortable. Ce n'est certainement pas familial.

Very relaxing houseboat moored on the edge of the river just steps from the many bars, restaurants and boutiques of downtown Salaberry de Valleyfield. Rooms are tiny home style, have a queen bed and full bathroom and a sitting area as well as an outdoor firepit. Open year round, ooerated remotely with no staff on site Plenty of free parking. Loved my stay here

First time I came here it was amazing experience. The room were clean, it was nice and cozy, everything was supplied. Like a mini fridge , towels and etc. But the only judgment I would say is they REALY!??!? Need to clean the deck!!! Get Rid of the spider webs and flies???? it’s very disgusting .. make it look presentable .. but other than that everything was amazing and great! I would definitely return again ????????.

I’m writing this as I sit on the deck, fire at my feet, rain falling, church bells ringing, a cup of coffee from the nespresso. Seriously…I couldn’t ask for a better lazy Sunday to relax. That’s been my full experience since my arrival Thursday night. It’s absolutely delightful.

Located on the Old Canal of Beauharnois, I have easy access to groceries, restaurants, shops and a Tim Horton’s! It’s a great town to walk, bike, kayak. You could even do an ice bath off your deck!

The accommodations are small, but if you’re looking to experience tiny living, this is a great opportunity! The designers have creatively utilized every space to deliver a mood at every turn. I love that when I walk in, the first thing I see is the water and deck through the sliding glass doors. I love that the bathroom is spacious but gives me everything I need. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the coziness of the bed and the sliding glass doors a step and a glance away. But the real treat is the deck with my own personal fireplace! The deck benches are inviting and comfortable. I could literally sit out here all day, read a book, watch the ducks, listen to the rain and be perfectly content.

Going forward, any time I’m in Montreal, I’ll be at the Flotel!

Terrible service. We had reserved and cancelled 1 week prior to our stay. The owner responded no problem we will cancel your reservation and then a couple days later I realized he took the FULL paiement anyways on my credit card!! It is literally stealing people.
