The hotel is fine and serves its basic purpose, but it’s nothing special. It’s located far from everything, with nothing of interest nearby and all attractions at quite a distance by car. The decor is very sparse and a bit odd—not cozy or inviting to spend time in the room. Breakfast is okay but below average compared to other hotels in France. Overall, it’s a functional but unremarkable option.

Dormire qui è fantastico! L'hotel è posto in un antico edificio situato in campagna, dispone di un parcheggio privato. L'atmosfera che si respira è quella di altri tempi. Il servizio è ovviamente impeccabile in ogni settore: reception, camere, colazione. La camera assegnataci era nel sottotetto spiovente, molto caratteristica e in armonia con l'intera struttura. Dotazione di alto livello, compresi gli accappatoi. Letto e cuscini, assieme al silenzio, assicurano un sonno gradevole.

Super accueil les personnes qui travaille là bas t’accompagne jusqu’à la chambre est t’explique tout ce qui a savoir .super chambre. Je vous recommande la chambre du donjon.Le petit déjeuner est simplement super bon.Superbe hôtel.je vous le conseille.

Le 7 juin, Nous avons choisi ce lieu pour nos 25 ans de mariage avec nos 34 invites pour son cachet des pierres. Tous nos invités ont été charmé et ont apprécié le repas. Nous félicitons toute l équipe pour la gentillesse et la bienveillance.
Vous voulez un lieu pour fêter un évènement et vous aimez les cadres majestueux alors n hésitez pas, choisissez la ferme de la Ranconniere.

We had a lovely stay. The renovated barn is ideally located, close to D Day landmarks as well as Bayeux. The restaurant serves high quality dishes. The staff members were very helpful. Overall, a great discovery.

We booked a superior after looking at the website they were fantastic.|We arrived and had a very small from not at all like any of the rooms on the web site.|We complained only too receive another one again not like the website.|It wasn't a cheap hotel and we thought it was a perfect way too end our holiday..|I would NOT recommend this hotel too anybody.

Nous avons testé le premier brunch de la saison 2025 et avons passé un très bon moment.
Le buffet est très complet et varié, tout est fait maison. Les œufs brouillés, sur le plat ou en omelette sont fait minute, un régal.
Nous recommandons cette adresse autant pour son cadre, que la qualité des produits et l’accueil.

Nous avons passé un très bon moment dans ce restaurant chaleureux ! Le cadre est magnifique, la cuisine exceptionnelle, et l’équipe aux petits soins. Un grand merci à la serveuse, particulièrement gentille et attentionnée.

Een fantastisch verblijf in dit centraal gelegen hotel in Normandie - de ideale uitvalsbasis om de landingsstranden en de musea in de regio te bezoeken.De kamers waren ruim en kraaknet. Elke avond konden we genieten van heerlijke gerechten met lekkere wijn. De gezellige bar was de perfecte plek om af te sluiten met een goed glas cider , wijn of uiteraard de lokale Calvados. Het personeel was vriendelijk, gastvrij en altijd bereid om te helpen.

Wij hebben deze locatie in het verleden 2x bezocht, de eerste keer was fantastisch, de tweede keer al wat minder, maar nu lieten ze echt veel steken vallen.
De omgeving en kamers zijn prachtig en authentiek, tuinen mooi onderhouden. Personeel van het restaurant is supervriendelijk maar het eten is aangepast naar Engelse normen (fish & chips ??) en niet meer zo hoogwaardig van kwaliteit als in het verleden. Kaasdessert waren 3 stukjes kaas met wat sla, geen noten, fruit of confituur, niks.
Kamers zijn authentiek en mooi, maar voor de prijs die je betaalt zou er echt wel een ijskast in de Privilege Rooms aanwezig mogen zijn. De haardroger werkte niet en bij aankomst hing er een WC rolletje dat bijna op was. Respectloos !
Dag 2 hadden we zelfs géén extra WC rol en zijn we die zelf moeten gaan zoeken ergens in een kast in de hal. De TV werkte niet en over het stopcontact hing een sticker gepakt "désolé, ne fonctionne pas" :(
Zalig terras om in het zonnetje te zin, ware het niet dat de bar slechts opent vanaf 16u. Heel spijtig. Kamer werd slechts gepoetst na 15u, en het personeel van de receptie was niet vriendelijk en niet bijster slim. Derde keer was spijtig genoeg zeker ook de laatste keer hier.

WE de Pâques enchanteur à la Ranconnière.|Chambre magnifique, calme, propreté exemplaire.|SDB fonctionnelle avec peignoirs et produits de soins|Un seul bémol pour le petit déjeuner qui ne vaut pas ses euros .. café machine, produits pas très qualitatifs (salade de fruits avec pêche en conserve ...) confitures industrielles, tout est bien présenté mais nous ne sommes pas dupes ;-) |La personne qui gère la salle est en civil ... nous l'avions pris pour un touriste ..|Améliorez ce début de journée et ce sera plus que parfait ! |Au plaisir de revenir ..

We stayed over Easter and had a great stay. The hotel is really well located for visiting the D-Day landing sites. It’s also very close to Bayeux.
The staff were very helpful and welcoming. They allowed us an early check-in which was really useful.
The rooms were comfortable and we had a very good dinner.
We would definitely come back.

Très bon restaurant. Nous y avons très bien mangé. L'accueil, le service et la cuisine sont parfaits.|La nouvelle carte est très bien, les mets sont fins, très joliment présentés et délicieux. Le pain est apporté chaud et en choix. Le risotto crevettes, chorizo est délicieux. Le dessert orange sanguine est extra. Nous avons passé un bon moment dans un bel endroit, la salle authentique est superbe.

Op 14/04/2025 konden wij na afspraak genieten genieten van een heerlijk bereid avondmaal in het restaurant van ferme de la ranconiere in Crepon Fr. Wij waren met zevenen. De maaltijd was overduidelijk heerlijk. Prijs kwaliteit ok. Niettegenstaande een beperkt personeel van 2 personen in een volle zaal liep het voor ons zeer vlot , aangenaam en vriendelijk. Één minpuntje de bar was niet open.

L’endroit est magnifique. Nous sommes venus découvrir le restaurant. La cuisine n’est pas à la hauteur du lieu. Oubliez les vins …. La carte des vins est bas de gamme. Il est regrettable, dans un tel établissement, de proposer des vins de coopératives de bien piètre qualité.

This 13th-century farmhouse has been beautifully transformed into an incredible hotel and restaurant. It is absolutely enchanting! The hotel is perfectly situated to explore the highlights of Normandy, just 3k from the sea, yet in an idyllic country setting. You can easily walk into the small village of Crepon to enjoy a glass of wine or visit the couture umbrella factory. ||The architecture of the farmhouse is stunning; all stonework and rustic beams throughout, with a wonderful courtyard and fountain. Do not let previous reviews complaining about the difficult turn into the courtyard discourage you. Just take your time and turn into the arched opening. There is hardly any traffic on the road out front, so you will likely have absolutely no problem.||The hotel's rooms are beautifully decorated, featuring exposed wooden beams and gorgeous antique French furniture. Our room overlooked the inner courtyard and provided a beautiful view. It really felt like being in a movie! The bed was quite comfortable, tea and coffee were provided in the room and breakfast is available at the hotel. We opted to eat breakfast at various places in the village and surrounding countryside.||The restaurant at La Ferme de la Rançonnière is also quite good. We enjoyed a wonderful three-course meal featuring local specialties and fabulous French vin du pays. The bar is also very nice with a clubby atmosphere and great drinks.||I would return tomorrow if I could! I will definitely return someday, it was such a gorgeous area and a wonderful hotel.

Omgeving en kamers ok. Personeel receptie niet van de slimste. Hovaardig met Franse air. ||Restaurant personeel maken veel goed. Vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Helaas 2 x zelfde menu aanbieden op vrijdag en zaterdag is not done. Helaas niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Ik denk dat er betere alternatieven zijn voor die prijs.

Très bien situé si vous souhaitez faire les plages du débarquement.
Le domaine est magnifique comme les chambres ou les restaurants.
La décoration est de très bon goût.
La propreté est exceptionnelle ainsi que le service.
Le personnel est très agréable et professionnel.
Les plats du restaurant sont excellents et fins.
A tester sans hésitation.
Les animaux de compagnie sont acceptés partout. Chambre, restaurant et salle de petit déjeuner.
C'est le seuls bémol, et c'est la raison de 4 étoiles au lieu de 5 qui auraient pourtant été largement méritées.
Quand vous êtes au restaurant et qu'à côté de vous des clients passent avec un chien qui a une odeur très forte, c'est très gênant !
Mais le plus gênant et inadmissible c'est que certains clients vont au buffet du petit déjeuner avec leur chien dans les bras.
Donc le chien a la tête au dessus de tous les plats et là, il y a vraiment un très gros problème d'hygiène.
Dommage, car le ferme de la ranconniere mériterait largement les 5 étoiles.

A true gem in Normandy. Normandy is beautiful in its own right. The history is just another dimension to this wonderful region. La Ranconniere is a wonderful hotel/restaurant. We stayed here in 2008 and promised we would return. It took us 15 years to finally make it, but it wont be 15 years till we return again.
We had a deluxe room with 2 dogs, and they wonderfully gave us a ground floor room with a nice backyard to excercise the pets.
The restaurant is super dog friendly (like all in France) and the food is a destination in its own right. Delicious and well presented.
I would be remiss if I did not mention Gerard our waiter. Genuinely one of the nicest people we have met. His warmth and friendliness was extended to both us and our dogs. He is a credit to the hotel.
Close to both Bayeux and the coast, the hotel is situated in the small village of Crepon. If you find yourelf headed to Normandy, you should seriously consider staying here and include dinner. You wont be dissapointed.

Une très belle adresse. La chambre était incroyable, magnifique, immense. Juste WOW.
La table est très bonne avec un service impeccable. Idem au petit déjeuner ou au bar.
Petit plus proposé : un service de massage directement en chambre.

Super cadre , très jolie bâtisse, accueil très convivial, brunch à 39euros très bon rapport qualité prix , copieux et très bien cuisiné, personnel très sympa et disponible ,je recommande cet endroit et y retournerai en famille . très très satisfaite

Nous sommes arrivés à 12h20 l’accueil par le responsable de salle n’était pas accueillant.
Il nous a installés à une table sans nous donner aucune explication sur le fonctionnement ainsi que sur les boissons . Nous nous sommes levées au bout de 10 minutes et quelle surprise de voir le buffet vide et petit . Ne vous fiez pas aux images sur le site ou sur les réseaux sociaux . Nous nous y sommes retournés plusieurs fois mais toujours vide . Pour avoir des frites et légumes avec le burger faut attendre qu’un serveur vienne à la table . Nous l’avons vu deux fois seulement .
Une serveuse vient nous voir pour nous demander quelles sont les boissons que nous avons prises .Je lui indique que nous n’avons même pas eu de carte donc pas de boissons , elle nous a regardés et a répondu d’accord sans forcément nous proposer une carte ou s’excusant .
À savoir que plusieurs se sont plaints ce jour là que le buffet était vide etc .. la réponse du chef nous avons le double de personnes ce dimanche contrairement à dimanche dernier. Pour moi ce n’est pas une réponse valable il aurait fallut ne pas prendre autant de réservations .Un léger souci de remise en question je pense .
La nourriture que nous avons pu goûter est de bonne qualité mais ça ne mérite pas le tarif de 42€ .
