I was really disappointed by the quality and price, for such a price the rooms are small and not very suitable for people with reduced mobility. What's more, there was a bad smell, I found blond hair in my dras, and there was a lot of noise at night, so I had a bad night. The only positive point is that the hotel is right in the center of Bayeux, close to everything.

This is a lovely hotel in Bayeux. The location is excellent and is housed in three buildings. Our room was spacious with a balcony. The staff was very kind.

This was my favorite place in France. This rooms were spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere around the hotel was relaxing. It was beautiful. I would stay here again and again.

We did not chose to stay here, it was included in our 3 day tour of Normandy Beaches. The hotel is a great location and has a good breakfast, but nothing remarkable besides that. It is a 2 star, no elevator, very narrow staircase making it hard to navigate 2-way when schlepping luggage. We had room #10 which was on 3rd floor. Small, small room with no fridge, little storage and few towels. The restaurant & bar on site are quite good. I’m including a view from our room.

We stayed three nights here and really enjoyed it. The proximity to everything we wanted to see was perfect! We ate one dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was very good. The room we shared had two twin beds. The building is old and the rooms are small but very clean with everything we needed. We arrived quite late and the front desk was waiting for us. We had no problems with anything during our stay and despite the restaurants outdoor seating being right below our window, the noise level was never an issue. I would totally stay here again as we enjoyed ourselves very much!

Hotel Reine Mathilde exceed Our expectations! This most charming hotel in exceptionally clean with the stunning views of Bayeux Cathedral. The breakfast (15 Euros) was a French style breakfast bar with some traditional American food and mainly French food choices including cheeses, baguettes and crossaints. But the best part of our stay was the staff. They were so attentive and kind. Booking.com canceled our reservation which was an unpleasant surprise. We communicated with the hotel directly and had the best service. They held our rooms until we arrived and took care of every detail. We would love to stay at this hotel again!

My wife and I and two other couples stayed at the Hotel Reine Mathilde for two nights immediately preceding a one week cycling trip in Normandy and Brittany. The staff was eager to please and helped make our stay a pleasant one. The rooms were of a good size and more than adequate for our stay. The breakfast provided a variety of options, but was not overly impressive in terms of food preparation/creativity. We also ate dinner at the restaurant associated with the hotel and had a very nice meal..

Very small room had to climb over one of the beds to open the bathroom door, was up 3 flights of stairs no lift very hard when I needed to use a stick trying to carry bags up to room. Tables were not cleared at breakfast and we had to go round tables to find crockery and cutlery. Food wasn’t topped up so I had to ask for it and the scrambled eggs were stone cold when they did refill so I had to complain again and they came back barely warm again. Very disappointing ☹️

The location is excellent with off-site parking available nearby, but unfortunately that is about all it has going for it (note: I did not eat lunch or dinner at the restaurant which seems to get good reviews). The room under the rafters was ridiculously difficult to maneuver unless you were the Hunchback of Notre Dame. The room was clean and bed fairly comfortable. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was malfunctioning or just not functioning well and the room was difficult to get cool. Breakfast was mediocre at best. I would not stay here again. The staff was very nice, so I was disappointed with the hotel and disappointed to have to give a negative review.

The hotel is exactly as the website shows you, several different kinds of rooms, our room was in another building a short walk from the reservation desk. Very large room and bathroom with a shower only, which was recently remodeled. I loved the room we slept very well stayed 3 nights. We asked for a ground floor or only one flight of stairs which is where we stayed. The boy at the desk carried our luggage up the stairs as we are in our early 70's we traveled with carry on only.|Location Location ! Everything you need is right next to you!

Hotel was a delight! We had a spacious room in the courtyard across the street - quiet and comfortable. The staff was friendly and available, breakfast was very nice, and the outdoor restaurant was perfect after a long day of travel. A unique property that ranks high on our stay again list.

Nous avons adoré cet hôtel. Nous avons pris la chambre familiale au dernier étage d'un bâtiment situé à une minute de marche de l'hôtel principal, de l'autre côté d'un pont très pittoresque qui enjambe un petit canal. La chambre était parfaite pour notre famille, avec un grand lit et deux lits jumeaux séparés pour chacun de nos deux adolescents. Nos adolescents sont grands et ont dormi sur les deux lits individuels sans problème. La chambre est divisée en deux espaces séparés par une salle de bains au milieu, et un couloir les relie. Il n'y a pas de porte séparant les deux espaces en raison du couloir ouvert, mais les deux chambres sont privées l'une de l'autre. Le quatrième lit se trouvait le long du couloir. La chambre était immense par rapport aux normes américaines et surtout par rapport aux normes européennes. Elle était très propre et bien équipée en serviettes, eau et autres. Le personnel de l'hôtel a été exceptionnellement amical et nous a aidés à répondre à nos questions. Le petit déjeuner était excellent, et nous avons pris un verre au bar le soir. La chambre était également très calme, sans bruit de la rue ni de la chambre voisine. Nous sommes restés deux nuits, arrivant tard le premier soir et repartant tôt le matin après notre deuxième nuit, afin de pouvoir faire une visite d'une journée des sites de la Seconde Guerre mondiale à proximité. J'aurais aimé rester un jour de plus pour explorer Bayeux ; c'était une petite ville adorable et nous avons vraiment aimé nous y promener et l'explorer après notre visite de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Dans l'ensemble, ce fut un excellent séjour, et notre meilleur hôtel de notre voyage de 12 jours en Europe. Nous le recommandons vivement.

Nous nous sommes arrêtés ici lors d'un voyage en France et avons reçu le meilleur service de tous nos hôtels. L'hôtel est très bien situé et dispose d'un joli restaurant en terrasse dans un endroit privilégié de Bayeux. ||Je reviendrais sans hésiter ! L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier résidentiel de la ville de Bayeux, à proximité de l'hôtel Reine Mathilde, qui est un lieu de séjour incontournable

L'Hôtel Reine Mathilde de Bayeux, en France, est un lieu de séjour charmant qui propose non seulement des chambres confortables, mais aussi un excellent bistrot servant des plats français classiques. La situation pratique de l'hôtel, à proximité de la cathédrale, en fait un point de départ idéal pour explorer cette charmante ville, où tout est accessible à pied. La proximité des plages du débarquement et les excursions d'une journée vers le Mont Saint-Michel et d'autres villes normandes vous permettront de passer quatre ou cinq jours à l'hôtel. Un conseil utile pour les visiteurs : déposez vos bagages à l'hôtel et garez-vous au rotary près d'un champ, à seulement 10 minutes de marche, où un grand parking gratuit vous attend. Cette attention particulière rehausse l'expérience globale du séjour à l'Hôtel Reine Mathilde.

Nous avons séjourné dans l'annexe et avons eu une belle chambre pour un prix très raisonnable. L'hôtel est idéalement situé par rapport à la cathédrale, au musée de la tapisserie, à la rue principale de Bayeux et à de nombreux bars et restaurants. Grande chambre avec un grand lit et une grande salle de bain avec une belle douche à haute pression. Très bon rapport qualité/prix... à recommander !

L'hôtel est petit, avec beaucoup de marches ici et là et pas d'ascenseur. On m'a apparemment attribué la plus grande chambre, la chambre 14 au cas où cela vous intéresserait, mais je ne la qualifierais pas de spacieuse. Le lit était confortable, la salle de bain adéquate et il y avait une fabuleuse machine à café. Le wifi fonctionnait par intermittence mais je pense que j'étais trop loin du routeur. L'emplacement était excellent, à environ 15 minutes à pied de la gare et entre le musée de la tapisserie et la cathédrale. Beaucoup de restaurants dans les environs immédiats, dont un dans l'hôtel.
