Bij binnenkomst spreek je netjes Frans, gaan ze Engels tegen je praten (alsof het niet gewaardeerd wordt). Vervolgens duurde het vrij lang voordat we een drankje kregen en ook de gerechten. Het dessert moest meteen besteld worden. Mijn vriend nam een entrecote-die kan per 100 gram besteld worden-de kleinste was 300 gr en ik nam de kabeljauw, deze was maar net 100 gr, best weinig, wel lekker. Het dessert: de mikado bavarois met aardbeien, dit leek echt een kinderportie en dat voor die prijs, erg jammer.

We stopped here before heading to the tapestry museum. We could not have stumbled upon a better restaurant! Everything we ordered was phenomenal. If you're in the area you should absolutely try it.

Wonderful atmosphere! Escargot with pesto and butter was excellent! The cod was cooked perfectly and subtly flavoured so the coloured carrots could shine! Creme brulee had a twist of ginger or cinnamon on top to give it a little twist on a classic. The waiter was excellent but he had to move fast because the place was hopping! I hope he gets in a bit of rest after tonight!

We had a great meal here. The food was fresh, tasty, and clearly prepared with care, both in flavour and presentation. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The crème brûlée was to die for. We’ll definitely come back if we are in the region.

Wonderful food and friendly service. I had a delicious duck in chocolate sauce and a recommended very reasonably priced glass of Syrah. Highly recommend booking in advance so you can get a table.

Wonderful food, friendly and informative service. The wine list was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious - I’d say the menu lacked a little bit of choice for vegetarians but what was there was excellent. Great value for money. Would recommend the café gourmand (pictured) for dessert!

** EDIT: We came again two years later and the food and service was just as excellent as last time! We always recommend this place to friends and family.

We have waited a while to get into Le Volet Qui Penche and now I know why… the service is wonderful. We visited between Christmas and New Year’s, which is a reduced time of service because of the time of year, but we still enjoyed a wonderful meal. In most of the touristy restaurants, you will always receive fries with your meal. Not here! Thankfully ???????? The sides were fresh seasonal vegetables, and the same with the dishes. Everything is relaxed and comfortable and you can enjoy with your friends and family. Make sure to reserve before going to make sure you have a table for the evening! You will not be disappointed…

Quelle expérience exceptionnelle ma famille a eue en visitant votre restaurant. Service incroyable et nourriture délicieuse. Nous étions en Normandie pendant une semaine et ma famille a convenu que c'était notre repas préféré du voyage. Quand je retournerai visiter Bayeux, ce sera l'un de mes premiers arrêts !
