Klein knus hotel in moeilijk bereikbare plaats. Zeer vriendelijke host, vertelt veel over de omgeving. Weet veel waar je kunt gaan als toerist. Ontbijt was goed.

Wir waren das erste Mal im Guest Mar und sind total angetan! Es ist alles tippi toppi sauber, das Personal ist unfassbar freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das ganze Haus ist So liebevoll eingerichtet und die Dachterrasse lädt absolut zum relaxen ein. Das Frühstück ist sehr zu empfehlen, nur ausgewählte regionale Früchte, verschiedenste Brötchen und Brot. Müsli, Kaffee, Säfte, alles da.
Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

This charming Guest House is a little hidden gem tucked away amongst the cobbled streets of Olhao. The accomodation was immaculate, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The roof top terrace was a lovely space to relax after a superb breakfast. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and throughout our stay the staff were all friendly and helpful and at times went above and beyond to assist us. We cannot fault Guest Mar and would definitely rebook if we travel this way again. Some charming little extra touches were much appreciated. 10 out of 10. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Todella viihtyisä perhehotelli. Leppoisa tunnelma. Avulias omistajapariskunta. Ihana Aamiainen. Loistavat sängyt. Niissä nukkui yhtä hyvin kuin kotona. Edullinen. Jos osun lähistölle toiste, menen sinne.

We hoorden voor het eerst over Guestmar op de ferry naar Armona. We besloten om in oktober zelf te boeken. Juan en zijn team hebben hier een prachtige plek gecreëerd. Gevestigd in een sfeervol historisch pand in het centrum van Olhão, wordt je hier echt verwend. Een heerlijk ontbijt en een keuken waar je op ieder moment koffie, thee of een stukje Portugees gebak kunt nemen. Er is een kleine bibliotheek en een dakterras met zon tot aan het einde van de dag. Een beetje een kruising tussen een hotel, B&B en een guesthouse, maar het voelt al snel als een tweede thuis. Vanuit hier loop je in 5 minuten naar de boulevard en de markthallen. Olhão is nog een authentiek dorpje, lang niet zo toeristisch als richting het westen. Aanraders zijn wat ons betreft de kamers Capitão en Peixe Azul.

The owner and staff were very polite and friendly.
The breakfast was splendid. I count 11 fresh fruit or berry and I'm not sure was that all, not to mention the cheese selection.
The combined reception and breakfast room was so cosy and heart of the house, that I'd like something similar at home also. Common spaces in every floor were something special. We really liked the style and how the whole building was renovated.
We warmly recommend Guestmar and will request our friends stay there visiting Olhão and surroundings!

Ein sehr schönes Haus, frisch renoviert mit sehr freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Gastgebern. Alles läuft in privater Hand, ohne größere Firma dahinter. Das Haus ist sehr schön, stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist extrem gut - nicht nur für Portugal. Die Zimmer sind sauber & im gleichen Stil, wie der Rest des Hauses gehalten. Hier kann man bleiben.

Very helpful and nice staff. Location is perfect. To go Faro just use Uber since public transportation is very time consuming and can have delays.

Excelente lugar, muy buen trato, lugar cuidadísimo y cerca de todo lo necesario. Un ambiente fantástico para pasar unos días y desayunos muy bien presentados. Recomendable para estancias de unos pocos días y con ganas de ver el pueblo.

Simplemente espectacular.
La casa tiene una decoraciòn realmente bellísima, las habitaciones limpias preciosas, el desayuno es un espectáculo la fruta buenísima de todo tipo,nada envidiarle a un hotel de 5 estrelllas.
Te ofrecen toallas para la playa, sombrillas......, y tienen todo el día en la cocina( que no puede estar más completa) bizcochos caseros , zumos, y varios snacks todo sin costo a disposición de los clientes.
Y con respecto a Joan ,Katya y el otro chico de recepción solo puedo decir GRACiAS, sois maravillos@s????????

9 - Si quieres conocer el Algarve
auténtico portugués no encontrarás
uno mejor que este. Edificio antiguo del
siglo XIX totalmente reformado, con
elegancia y estilo, su propietario Joao
le ha sabido dar un toque especial, er
barrio pescador y fuera de ese ambiente
bullicioso y guiri. A menos de 8 minutos
a pie estas en el puerto y la zona mas
concurrida y visitada de 0lhao. Si quieres
playa tienes que coger un Ferrys que
sale cada 2 horas y te lleva a las islas de
Culatra,Armona,Barreta.(lo recomiendo
es un trayecto espectacular y relajante
por la ria sin olas y para esas personas
que les sienta tan mal el navegar por
alta mar nada de eso te ocurre aquí y
por sólo 2 €) .Gracias Joao por esas
conversaciones tan amenas y esos
desayunos tan buenos que preparais
cada mañana y por acernos sentir comd
en nuestra verdadera casa.

Beautiful hotel/bed and breakfast, the owner is very friendly and attentive to detail as well as the rest of the staff. Delicious breakfast, very clean elegant rooms and amazing rooftop terrace. Truly a little hidden gem!
