We stayed at Belvedere Resort for 9 nights in a beach Bungalow number 2. It was truly amazing, we loved every second of it. The rooms had everything what you need, the pool was lovely and the beer nice and cold. The food at the restaurant was great, although we tried other options around the hotel, we ultimately always came back to Waka Waka restaurant, which has an amazing setting. We loved the staff as well.

The most perfect place for a stay in Zanzibar, away from the crowd.
The location is absolutely fabulous, with a view and access to the beach.

Very beautiful hotel and very nice team.
The restaurant offers the best food of the area, by far! But you should not be in a rush (which means that everything is fresh!). And if you take something from the menu of the day it's really not that expensive in comparison to the other restaurants around.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Kleine Unterkunft, alles sehr persönlich. Leider hatten wir Pech mit unserem über die Rezeption gebuchten Ausflug.

Cea mai frumoasa cazare in care am stat vreodata! Cred ca asa arata paradisul! Camere extrem de curate, mancarea excelenta, de fiecare data proaspata, personalul foarte foarte amabil si dragut, mereu la dispozitia noastra, piscina senzationala, peisajele rupte din paradis. Absolut superb! M-as intoarce acolo in fiecare an. Nota 20/10. Alegeti aceasta cazare fara nicio ezitare.

Sehr freundliches Personal, coole Bungalows (oder Zimmer), direkt am Meer, gute Lage.

Betreffend Bungalows: sie verfügen über keine Klimaanlage (wird auf der Homepage des Hotel darauf hingewiesen), darum wird es nie wirklich kühl in dem Raum. Es gibt jedoch ein Decken- und Standventilator.
Das Badezimmer ist "outdoor", wir hatten diverse Begegnungen allerlei Krabbeltieren (die ziemlich gross sind auf Sansibar) - dies muss man sich bewusst sein, ansonsten auf ein Zimmer ausweichen. Wegen den Krabbeltieren sind keine Snacks im Zimmer erlaubt, was jedoch ok ist.

Frühstück: à la Carte, die Auswahl ist gross. Jedoch ist vieles dermassen mit Butter zubereitet. Mein Rührei schmeckte nach Butter, das Käsesandwich die Chapatis ebenfalls, was sehr schade ist.

Dem Restaurant Waka Waka, das zum Hotel gehört würde ich nur zwei bis drei Punkte geben. Wir haben dort nur 1x gegessen. Zwei der Mitarbeiterinne sind unfreundlich, wirken gelangweilt und sehr unmotiviert.
Getränkebestellungen (auch beim Frühstück) gehen vergessen und das Essen ist mittelmässig.
Das Essen meines Partners war kalt. Meine Pizza war jedoch gut. Der Service ist aber wirklich schlecht, man fühlt sich überhaupt nicht willkommen.

Im Grossen und Ganzen ist das Hotel wirklich zu empfehlen, denn die Anlage reisst alles raus.

A quiet place in front of the Indian Ocean, just fantastic. The breakfast could be better. We stayed in one bungalow and it was good in general but it could be quite hot because there is no AC. They do provide an extra fan but at least in our case was not enough. Maybe in the future they could get more powerful fans. That would be great. Anyway! We for sure would come back.

Bewerte wirklich gerne negativ aber hier ist es angebracht, wenn ich weniger als einen Stern vergeben könnte, würde ich es tun. Unfreundlich, essen auf einem untersten Niveau und Kinder dürfen nur da sein müssen aber schweigen.

Très jolie vue sur l'océan depuis la chambre. Les pieds dans le sable, presque. Hôtel de toute petite dimension. Une quinzaine de chambres au total. Non bétonné l'accès à la plage ce qui en fait son charme par rapport aux hôtels environnant. La nourriture est bonne mais les prix sont un peu élevés pour Jambiani. Personnel très gentil. Literie parfaite et la propreté est au rendez-vous.
Vous pouvez rester dans la structure même après avoir rendu votre chambre afin de profiter de la piscine à débordement et d'une douche si vous avez votre avion en fin de journée par exemple.

Sehr schön gelegenes Resort direkt am Strand mit grossem Pool. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüsst bei der Ankunft. Alle Mitarbeiter sind aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist lecker, man kann sich das Frühstück selbst zusammen stellen. Alles wird frisch zubereitet. Wir haben hier im Restaurant gegessen, Preis/Leistung und geschmacklich super. Die Salate waren ganz frisch zubereitet, wir haben oft Fisch gegessen, sehr gute Küche. Wenn man direkt über die Homepage bucht erhält man 10% auf Essen und Getränke!
Wir hatten einen Strand Bungalow gebucht, Karibik Feeling, das Bad hat einen kleinen Garten und Regenwald Dusche, Top!

Très bonne adresse! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans cette petite structure! L’accueil la gentillesse de Carlos, des filles au restaurant un personnel au top. Les bungalows sont très bien, le jardin est bien entretenu, le restaurant est bon le petit déjeuner est servi à table avec un choix de plats. La plage est très belle et propice aux longues promenades. L’accès à l’hôtel peut surprendre ne vous fiez pas aux apparences.

Petit hôtel intimiste de 12 chambres, les cases avec toit en pointe sont vraiment superbes, avec salle d'eau ouverte sur la nature ! Vue sur l'océan depuis le lit !!! Le coin piscine à débordement est face à l'océan, très propre, et bien entretenu. Le coin est vraiment très calme et propice à la détente et au repos. Peu de touristes, quasiment que des locaux sur la plage, qui se baladent, des pecheurs, des enfants qui se baignent et toujours très polis et souriants ! Il y a la marée toutes les 6h, mais possibilité de se baigner le matin et parfois l'après-midi. L'eau est juste sublime avec tout ces dégradés de bleu, transparente et les plage très propre !!! Un superbe spot pour des photos magnifiques !!!
Le restaurant est très bon et abordable, environ 10$ le plat, et aucun problème de tourista avec les salades et crudités !
Le personnel est vraiment adorable !
Je recommande à 2000% l'hôtel et le lieu !!!!

After a long search for a good hotel through internet, we found Belvedere. They already had good reviews and the pictures were quite promising.

With high expectations we arrived, and we were absolutely delighted!

The view is stunning, the bungalow is gorgeous and lovely furnished (the bathroom is amazing), the swimming pool is clean and of course has the same magnificent view, and the staff is very kind and enthusiastic.

The restaurant is really cute with the possibility to dine in the sand. The breakfast is great, you can order as much as you want. And if you would like a snack or drink at the pool, that's all possible.

The bungalow is directly on their private beach, so beach boys won't bother you here.

If there is something you would like them to improve, they are always open for feedback. I think that's a unique strength, and it really suits the staff that they are always open for that.

We can guarantee you won't have any regrets staying here.

If we ever return to Zanzibar, we will return to Belvedere!

¡Espectacular! El personal es atento, servicial y siempre tienen una sonrisa. La comida muy buena, la mejor mariscada de nuestra vida. Las instalaciones maravillosas. La paz que sientes en la habitación escuchando las olas del mar... Pasamos una luna de miel espectacular. Volveremos y lo recomendaremos seguro. Asante sana!
