On s'attendait à un luxe 5 étoiles comme annoncé, peut-être une fois, mais la gloire s'est évanouie maintenant. Le personnel a été très accueillant avec mon mari mais m'a ignorée.

C'est l'un des meilleurs hôtels où j'ai séjourné, le personnel est enthousiaste et professionnel, en particulier Big Joe, qui a été un "roc" lorsque nous avons dû annuler des vols aériens. La nourriture était excellente et les visites locales proposées étaient vraiment bonnes. L'hébergement était de première qualité et la toilette du soir nous a rassurés sur les moustiques.

La boutique de souvenirs de Joyce est pleine de charme et c'est une très bonne conseillère. Adorable et toujours souriante.|Nous avons pu trouver tout ce qu'il fallait pour faire plaisir à famille et amis. Merci Joyce !|Quant à l'hôtel, établissement de qualité au charme désuet qui ajoute à se sentir bien. Personnel très sympathique et toujours attentif. Nourriture très appréciée, seul "bémol", un temps d'attente assez long.|Nous regrettons déjà la Tanzanie car il faut en repartir demain !...|Merci à tous,|Béatrice et René Vrinat

Excellente situation pour explorer Stone Town. Chambre confortable. Le choix du petit déjeuner était vaste et le service agréable. Le personnel de la réception et de la conciergerie était également sympathique et serviable. La piscine est agréable, mais je ne l'ai pas utilisée.

Dès que vous descendez de la voiture, vous êtes accueilli avec un sourire chaleureux et vous vous sentez tout de suite le bienvenu. Après un simple enregistrement, vous êtes escorté jusqu'à votre chambre où l'air conditionné vous attend. Les chambres sont bien aménagées, propres et disposent de beaucoup d'espace pour poser vos bagages. Après avoir pris le temps de vous rafraîchir, vous vous rendez à pied à la piscine, au restaurant et au bar. Vous êtes à nouveau accueillis par des filles en uniforme blanc et aux grands sourires. Vous prenez place à la fenêtre qui donne sur l'océan, à quelques mètres de là. En buvant une boisson fraîche, vous regardez les bateaux de pêche arriver avec leur chargement et les hommes sauter des bateaux et nager jusqu'au rivage. C'est juste un endroit formidable avec des gens formidables.

Le service de l'hôtel est exceptionnel et le petit déjeuner est délicieux et varié. Dans l'ensemble, c'est un hôtel à ne pas manquer lors d'un séjour à Zanzibar.

Bel hôtel, personnel sympathique et très professionnel. La piscine était superbe. J'ai adoré la musique live le soir, qui ajoutait vraiment à l'ambiance. Je reviendrai certainement.

La boutique de souvenirs de l'hôtel Zanzibar Serena est un endroit idéal pour trouver des souvenirs et, étonnamment, de très belles chaussures ! Joyce a été absolument géniale et m'a aidée à naviguer dans la sélection et à trouver ce que je cherchais. Son aide a fait de ce shopping un véritable plaisir !

To stay in historical old building from 18th and 19th century is really amazing
The hotel located in the heart of old city of Zanzibar with Amazing location and amazing view to the ocean

I like the hotel and i like the view and the historical part of the hotel

A beautiful hotel in the perfect location - you can easily wander around Stone Town which is on your doorstep, or sit by the pool/ on the beach looking out on the ocean. The staff were the friendliest I've ever encountered in a hotel, and made me feel so welcome. They were kind, smiley, professional, and helpful, and really made my stay special. The room was beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious - I would wholeheartedly recommend Zanzibar Serena Hotel and hope to visit again!

This place is a treasure. The photos don’t do it justice. Has history and romance all in one. We just stayed one night but wished we’d been there longer. Get the fish curry, it’s exceptional.

The staff are lovely and super helpful. It’s just a gem. Brimming with history and a delicious restaurant where you can watch life play out on the beach.

Stayed here for 1 night.
All ok regarding the stay. We forgot on thing on the room and called back before 24h of our departure.
After many calls, mails, Facebook and Instagram, the person in charge of social networks found what we forgot and left it for pick up in reception. When we got it and opened it we found out that more than 80% of the product forgotten was taken.
I was redirected to the director and although he tried to “fix it” we didn’t get it back.
Really disappointed with such an outcome of leaving something and having it manipulated….
Even though we had an apology this feels like a very bad outcome for our stay.

Clean but old which some people may fancy. The rooms were very small. Quite honestly I found that white people were treated better than us black people! Management should look into this. It's quite unfortunate really. The Serena brand is too good to destroy this way.

Wir waren nur ein Tag hier,dann ging es auf Safari. Hotel war völlig ausreichend. Nettes Personal. Die Ausstattung war von Zahnpflege Waschzeug, Bademantel,Rasierer Klima ,Safe, Kühlschrank und Moskitonetz ausreichend ausgestattet!!
Aussicht top.
Im Pool kann man sich abkühlen.

Great hotel with an authentic touch in terms of the building, furniture and overall decor.
The staff were lovely and very helpful!
The breakfast was just amazing and had a many options with a beautiful breakfast view
My bedroom view included the beach and pool and was just a pleasure to have in the mornings.
It’s conveniently placed in the city centre of stone town.
The prices were a little too high for me who travelled solo but o do not regret my stay

Greit hotell, med gangavstand til Stonetown og Freddy Mercury-museet. Ok rom, men middagen vi fikk servert i restauranten var ikke bra. Lunsjen var ok. Nydelig solnedgang!

This is one of those ‘tick all the boxes’ types of places. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted with that smile that just says you’re welcome. Beachfront, beautiful pool, perfect location, close to everything. Staff can make or break a hotel, this team are brilliant. Thank you.

Stayed for 2 nights on the back end of a 2-week safari trip. 1st 2-week vacation in 12 years. Beach waters are clear, warm, and tones of blue - a few steps from the downstairs restaurant and bar area.
Gorgeous dark mahogany wood everywhere, valets define service-oriented help (they really are, you won't regret tipping these folks at all, compared to valets in many U.S. urban areas - so, bring your $5 tip money).
They keep accurate accounting, have very good laundry services and room turn-down/straightening up as well.
We had a corner room with a balcony, walk-out patio/louvered doors and windows. Good plumbing, water-pressure and beds.
Many good near-by options for eating, massages and of course, buying tanzanite stones!

Serena hotel was lovely and the food was excellent. The people who work there are great. They ended up charging us twice for ancillary items and never refunded our money though, despite contacting them several times.
