Ce bel hôtel 5-étoiles grand luxe griffé Serena Hotels est composé de deux maisons swahilies anciennes rénovées, sur le front de mer de Stone Town. Livingstone aurait séjourné dans l’une d’elles. Il échappe au bouillon touristique, ce qui n’est pas négligeable. Les chambres, toutes avec balcon, font face à l’océan ou au jardin. Le luxe et le raffinement classique se déclinent à tous les étages. L’hôtel est intimiste et respire la sérénité. Il dispose de deux restaurants (dont un en rooftop) et d'un pool bar au bord d'une merveilleuse piscine devant la plage.

Gorgeous dark mahogany wood everywhere, valets define service-oriented help (they really are, you won't regret tipping these folks at all, compared to valets in many U.S. urban areas - so, bring your $5 tip money).
They keep accurate accounting, have very good laundry services and room turn-down/straightening up as well.
We had a corner room with a balcony, walk-out patio/louvered doors and windows. Good plumbing, water-pressure and beds.
Many good near-by options for eating, massages and of course, buying tanzanite stones!
