L'emplacement est idéal.
La chambre est propre et lavée tous les jours. Le petit déjeuner est très bon.
Par contre, il n'y a pas de fenêtre. La seule façon d'aérer la chambre est d'ouvrir la porte, qui donne sur l'aération du restaurant de poisson de l'hôtel. Il y a une climatisation, mais on ne peut pas la régler. Elle est bloquée par les gérants de l'hôtel.
Donc, il faut choisir entre mourir de chaud ou respirer les odeurs de poissons.
Les chambres donnent sur une cour intérieure qui est très bruyante. Chaque passage résonne.

Na slici izgleda savršeno no u stvarnosti vrlo loše (ne ulaže se u objek/sobe)....

Soba na petom katu,lift ne radi i vjerovatno neće (nije u planu)!

Iz nekog razloga,pola dana vode nije bilo kao ni sljedećeg jutra tople vode.

Doručak nije u samaom objektu već u drugom restoranu. Doručak vrlo vrlo loš (čak ne jestiv!)

Δεν αξίζει πραγματικά κανένα αστέρι, παρά μόνο για την τοποθεσία. Βρώμικο δωμάτιο, λερωμενα σεντόνια - πετσέτες, τρίχες κ μας άλλαξαν το πρώτο δωμάτιο γιατί μυριζε μουχλα. Δεν έχει παράθυρα μόνο η είσοδος του δωματίου που κάποια δωμάτια μπαίνεις από τον φωταγωγο του κτηριου όπου κάτω έχει εστιατόριο κ το φουγαρο τους έβγαινε στο φωταγωγο. Επίσης την πρώτη μέρα διαμονής είχαν κλείσει το νερό για κάποιο λόγο και την επόμενη δεν είχε ζεστό νερό.

Terrible stay away!
No fresh air/ windows in rooms. Bad smell. AC doesnt work. Very uncomfortable.

Pokój z tak małą ilością światła że nie można się obudzić, niedziałająca obsługa klimatyzacji, przez co wracam z urlopu chora, łazienka ok, nam trafiła się dość czysta, nowoczesna, choć nic nie można sobie przeprać w umywalce bo przez swoją "nowoczesność" i Look jest totalnie pozbawiona funkcjonalności. Brak dostępu do kanałów międzynarodowych w telewizji, a jeśli już jest TV to mógłby mieć BBC czy cokolwiek. Zapachy z restauracji na 3 piętrze nie aż tak uciążliwe, dźwięki z ulicy również nie przeszkadzały na 3 piętrze, za to brak windy już tak. (tłumaczą, że "chwilowo" nie działa). Lokalizacja wybitna- blisko do pięknych uliczek, portu z promami do Silemy, Malta Experience. Pokoje codziennie sprzatane, a raczej wymieniane ręczniki i układana pościel. Jedyne zdjęcie jakie mam to zakurzona wentylacja, która świadczy o poziomie czystości. Obsługa uśmiechnięta i pomocna.

Finding the hotel was difficult as there is restaurant seating in front of the hotel. Once we found the hotel, the reception staff was not there. We waited 15-20 min to check in and the elevators were not working which they said they would compensate for via taxi drive upon arrive which no one was there.

Taking 2 large luggage suitcases up the spiral stairs was difficult and the tiles in the rooms were coming off and the room was not cleaned.

I Loved: The location. Right in the middle of Valletta. The size of the room. Very comfortable, huge, bed. General amenities - fridge, coffeemaker, bathrobes, etc. The price - very reasonable!

Didn't love: No windows. Either open the French doors and risk safety or privacy, or stay in the dark. Shower could be cleaner. The sink was weird and splashy.

Didn't mind: Noise from restaurant - you are staying in an authentic townhouse, in one of the busiest streets in Valletta - some noise is to be expected.

Great location, decent rooms, value for money I was expecting more negatives from the previous comments but
1) the sound is not bad enough to interrupt your sleep
2) neither the smells from the kitchen was annoying (we were at 2nd floor do not know at the first)
To sum up i strongly recommend its for young couples or groups of friends

Sitio inmejorable y habitación estupenda.
Pero no tienen recepción ninguna.
Está encima de un restaurante.

+Großes und bequemes Bett! Super zentrale Lage! An sich “moderne” Ausstattung!
ABER:
-Das Bad ist eine Katastrophe! Es hat geschimmelt und nach Schimmel gestunken. Außerdem war es modrig und feucht!
-Die Wasserfalldusche funktionierte nicht (total verkalkter und schon algenbefallener Duschkopf) und die Dusche konnte man nicht schließen, da eine Tür fehlte.
-Das Zimmer war ebenfalls feucht, sodass man es nur mit laufender Klimaanlage aushalten konnte.
-Der Teppich hat auch schon bessere Zeiten gesehen… sehr alt und zerfetzt und nicht sauber!
-Außerdem hat das Zimmer kein Fenster und ist zum Inneren des Hauses geöffnet, sodass der Gestank vom Restaurant darunter immer schön hochzieht.

Staff:
The staff were very sweet and welcoming however one of the two girls sitting at the reception couldn't speak any English, the other one knew some and did her best. However, overall it felt very disorganised, which I blame the hotel management for - when we were asked to pay the environment tax, they said they don't take card payments. When we took out the cash, they said they didn't have any change. They also don't have bathrooms for you to use outside your room. However the staff let us keep the luggage there after the checkout for no charge which was very sweet of them.

Hotel & location :
* The entrance to hotel was very cluttered and messy, they were doing construction work so everything was all over the place. Plus the odours coming from the restaurant on the ground floor weren't very pleasent, as was already mentioned by others in the reviews, however we couldn't really feel it on our floor (2).

* the location is in the heart of Valletta. We stayed here during the Carnival days and the streets were extremely loud so bear that in mind. Luckily our room was facing the inner courtyard and after the carnival was done for the day, it got very quiet.

The room:
* our room 201 was pretty spacious, nicely decorated and modern. The bed is larger than a double, perhaps a king, was very comfortable. The 2 pillows each person gets are big and supportive. There's a nice big mirror, lots of lights, even a reading light.
* there was a mini fridge, a TV, a blow dryer, bathrobes, a coffee machine and a kettle with a range of teas available, and bottles of water.
* the smart TV/screensharing function didn't work no matter what we tried.
* the bathroom looked very modern too, the hot water was always available, it was never a problem, like some people mentioned here. When we first checked in, there was a shower cap on the shower head to gather the water from it leaking which looked alarming at first but it was actually never an issue during our stay there.

* Now, the biggest disappointment for us was, as many have mentioned, the lack of air ventilation in the room and a vast presence of mould in the bathroom. There's no window in the room so the only source of air is the aircon which, when turned on, was blowing hot air, which made the already warm, humid and stuffy room even worse. We tried sleeping with the aircon on but found ourselves waking up in the middle of the night gasping for air, to battle this we had to leave the door slightly ajar at night. Even then, I found myself waking up through the night covered in sweat and feeling sticky.
If you have stay here, what we did when arriving to our room was opening the door fully to ventilate the room and also using the bathroom stool as a door stopper to have the air circulate in the bathroom too.

The price we paid was very affordable, perhaps because it's February, had it been more, we would have probably looked for a different place to stay.

Clean hotel, located in the city centre, walking distance from the main attractions.

Do not stay here unless you want to throw out all your makeup! Even with aircon running all night all the clothing in my luggage became damp and mildewy. I had to throw away all my makeup compresses as the powder and the packaging had become completely saturated by humidity. It might look kinda ok when you first arrive but the bathroom walls, floor, shower even the bedroom ceiling WAS FILLED WITH MOLD MILDEW AND IT SMELL AWEFUL!!

Avoid at all costs. I have had to seek medical attention and scramble to find alternative accommodation after staying at this property that is covered in mold. Location of the hotel is the only benefit. Incredibly unclean, smelly, damp, and a huge health hazard. All of our belongings have held onto the smell of mold and have remained famous upon leaving.

Camere moderne in open space e pulite. Manca una finestra che si possa aprire. L'unica è la porta finestra d'ingresso che si affaccia un una corte piccolissima, con pochissima luce e dal basso salgono intense esalazioni di cucina. L'unica possibilità per respirare è l'aria condizionata.

The location is perfect and the stuff ready to help you at any time. But the second floor rooms are above a restaurant’s kitchen, you can smell the food and hear noises all night long. Also there isn't any window. Don't choose it if you are claustrophobic or you can’t sleep with noises.

Worst accomdation ever. Location: good, but this is the single positive thing about it.
The bathroom was incredible dirty! Mold in the shower, the toilet dirty.
It smells horrible because of the kitchen of the restaurant on the ground floor.
The room had no window!
I think that the room has never been cleaned since the hotel was open.
Do not choose this hotel which apears as guest house on Booking and when at the location it apoears as Hotel de la Valette.

the room could be a bit cleaner (dusty under the desk and bed) and there are no windows but I thought the staff were excellent and very accommodating. Being above a restaurant kitchen didn't bother me too much as was out all day and liked the central location. There's no smell issues and not a lot of noise either. I guess you pay for the service and the location.

Ho prenotato su booking un hotel a La Valletta, qualche giorno prima della mia partenza mi ha scritto l assistenza clienti per dirmi che mi avrebbero cambiato hotel... Ed eccomi qui.
Posizione sicuramente invidiabile, ci troviamo nella via principale de La Valletta.
Solo che i vantaggi sono finiti.
L hotel condivide ingresso e hall con un ristorante il qualche ogni sera rientra la vetrina del pesce fresco e lo lascia nella hall.
Non vi dico la quantità di losche che si trovano quando si torna la sera ma sopratutto la puzza di pesce marcio ( eh si, lasciano il pesce nella vetrina del pesce spenta) che invade l hotel, a confronto la puzza di cucina che vi arriva in camera a ogni ora del giorno è oro.
Le camere sono anche carine, peccato che quando vengono a rifare la camera non cambiano né lenzuola, né asciugamani né kit da bagno nuovo.
Un giorno abbiamo addirtutta trovato la camera con la porta completamente spalancata e rifatta a metà.
Altro tasto dolentissimo l acqua calda.
Se siete fortunati riuscirete a farvi mezza doccia calda, altrimenti dimenticatevi proprio l acqua perché non esce.
Alle nostre lamentele in reception ( specialmente per l acqua poiché impossibilitati a fare la doccia) ci è stato riposto che non potevamo farci nulla.
Insomma se andare a Malta scansate questo posto come la peste onde evitare di rovinarvi la vacanza.
