Ce restaurant italien est souvent désigné comme étant l’un des meilleurs endroits de Californie. Il est vrai que vous ne serez pas dérangé : 7 tables uniquement, avec quelques tables en extérieur pour l'été, bougies un peu partout, carte des vins et menu alléchants. Il est donc préférable de réserver quelque temps en avance. Ils demandent de doublement confirmer votre venue. Le plat signature du grand chef est à tester : les crêpes d'aubergines fourrées au saumon fumé, un délice ! En dessert, on recommande la glace au chocolat blanc. Avis aux gourmands !

After 4 days in South Tahoe, all I can say is the food doesn’t even come close to other popular ski towns. Our only exception so far is Cafe Fiore. We didn’t know what to expect walking into the very small, ~12 person dining area but were very pleasantly surprised by the food. The pasta was all cooked very well, but what stood out was the freshness of the ingredients and the sauces. Many times, pasta is over sauced with over powering flavor. All their’s were extremely fresh and light tasting. We also got their swordfish (a house specialty) and it was outstanding. We’re never had fish cooked exactly like that so it was a standout. Even the minestrone soup surprised me to the point where my 8 and 5 year olds were gobbling it down. This is a must try restaurant in the South Tahoe area!

What a great find! My daughter and I go on a long ski trip every year and i rely on her to find great restaurants. Lots of hits and misses. Cafe Fiore was definitely a huge hit. The food, service and ambiance were all perfect. We went with another couple and the 4 of us were really happy with our appetizers, salads and entrees. And the wine selection was well curated with fair prices. I had the seafood fra diavolo. It was perfect. If i can get a reservation, we'll be back this week.

A top tier dining experience, Cafe Fiore is absolutely the best restaurant in Tahoe. I dine here every time I visit and it is always exceptional. The menu is both delicious and creative. The ambience is magical—elevated and intimate. The service is impeccable. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Reservations are hard to come by, so reserve weeks in advance!
