Such an amazing experience! From the wonderful employees to early morning swims in the hot thermal pool, I could stay here forever. Honestly so much better than the four seasons down the street. This place has character, charm, and class!

Website says the daily $30 resort fee is to provide a glass of local wine when guests arrive, which we were not offered. Also on the amenity list but missing from our three night stay: We didn’t receive access to any wellness offerings, nor weekly wine pours or tastings. It said that we would receive free snacks, but it was one small popcorn bag.Inroom coffee was provided but tea was not.

Additionally, the wall paper in our bathroom was peeling, there was an hole in the wall, the bed was coming apart, chipped and rusty coffee cups and bathroom mirror, and we could hear our neighbors snoring all night.

This was all very disappointing. We will be back to Calistoga but not to this place. The stars are very misleading.

My wife and I were really disappointed with our stay. We only booked one night, which is good, as I wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer.

We booked one of the older motor lodge rooms, which - from the pictures and website description - we assumed were remodeled, clean, and well appointed. But while the room may have looked good from far, it was far from good. First, and the worst, was the bathroom. It wasn’t clean. The walls next to the sink were speckled with something… organic? It wasn’t a lot, but with something that gross even a little bit is too much. The grout in the floor was a dark brownish grey. At some point it had been white, and apparently someone gave up trying to clean it 5 or 10 years ago. There were broken and missing tiles in the shower floor, and the holes looked unhygienic. The toilet seat was straight out of the 1990s, and was so well used the finish was completely worn off in places. It wasn’t even a soft close seat. Toilet seats are like $20. There’s no excuse for a toilet seat to be in such poor condition. Then there was the hair dryer, with filters SO clogged with hair and lint it belched a noxious odor of burned hair and funk when it was turned on. Again, it’s like $20 to replace these things, and easy enough to clean. There’s no excuse for it to be in such poor condition. Not in a “4 star” hotel, and not for $500 a night.

The mattress and bedding were - at best - 3 star quality. As I lay on an abnormally fat pillow, I could count the individual springs pushing into my back in the mattress below me, and I tossed and turned all night.

To top it off, the linoleum floor inside the front door was ever so slightly sticky in places. Just enough to make us uncomfortable walking barefoot anywhere.

We also visited the Moonacre spa, and I have mixed feelings. Staff were amazing, but both the hot tub and steam room were out of order. The bathrooms & communal relaxation areas were small for the number of treatment rooms. So we had a great mineral soak in clawfoot tubs & awesome massages, but it would have been better with a steam and comfy seating to relax for a bit.

Hotel was quiet, and we had no problems with parking. “Snacks and drinks in the room are complimentary,” but in our room that was 2 bottles of water and single small bag of chips. In-room coffee was sub-par, and only included 1 serving of caffeinated coffee.

2/5, would not recommend. Seriously disappointed in this JDV property.

The hot tub has been out of service for almost a year! This is a hot spring spa that doesn’t have a working hot tub?! At $300 per night - how is this possible? I was given a gift certificate here and was so disappointed. I still have money left on the gift card and don’t know when I’ll ever want to come back to use it since the whole point of this hotel is to enjoy the hot mineral water. Their website also conveniently doesn’t have any info about the pools on the property - how many pools, what the average temperature is, or the fact that the only hot tub on the property is not working/ when it will be fixed.

Nicely renovated rooms of a boutique motor lodge. There are two pools heated up nicely but they look a bit dated. Very relaxing surrounding and walkable to the town Calistoga area.

We wanted to find a fine place for a glass of wine and snacks and it looked ideally. A nice spot to sit outside and enjoy the spring sun. The food was perfect, however due to busy hours, we needed to wait pretty long. Anyway, highly recommended to visit!

***Avoid*** Not really sure how this meets Hyatt standards... And the points yall are asking for a reward night is laughable. Extremely dated, ran down hotel. Why is everything broke?

If you like swimming/ floating in a big/ beautiful hot spring fed pool, with lots of floats, lounge chairs, and a poolside full service cafe/bar, then you'll love this place as much as we do. Add to this well appointed rooms, beautiful landscaping with bocce ball and shuffle board courts, fire pits, bicycles, and great spa and you have one amazing place to stay.

Love the property and the service was great! Enjoyed a game of bocce and swimming. Special thanks to Efrain for coming and fixing the fire pit so we can have our s'mores.
We wish the hot pool would have been hotter especially since the jacuzzi is out of order.
Breakfast was good and the service was very efficient and warm in spite of being the only waitstaff, Wendy was superb.
Will come back when jacuzzi is fixed.

Wonderful place - really 1st rate. $500 a night may price us out after this year.

(We’ve been going every spring for 30 years).

Mud bath is fun - makes you feel like a roasting Hawaiian pig boy, but in a good way.

It's fairly kid friendly.

Great location and can't fault the staff but my room was in shambles. The toilet was not cleaned when I checked in, grime inside the water kettle (glad I checked), phone not working, security latch broken. The staff was quick to address these issues and apologized but wouldn't expect these state of affairs from a Hyatt brand.

The only really good part of this place is the location. It is in a beautiful spot in Calistoga.
The non updated rooms are extremely run down and dirty; think beat up old furniture, old stained carpet and other people’s hair left in the sink and bathroom floor. It had very strong Motel vibes.
Needless to say I was able to get a newer room which was good until people stayed above us. There is ZERO sound proofing and it basically sounded like elephants moved in above us. You can hear every move from the footsteps to the toilet to the shower running.

I felt that the front desk staff (other than the initial woman who help us change rooms) doesn’t really care.

The pools are pretty run down…the jacuzzi hasn’t worked in a long time it appears.
The restaurant is nice though. Friendly staff, good food and drinks.
All in all I would not stay here again. Disappointed that I chose this location to spend my birthday. You live and learn.

Mini paradise! Just 2 hours from Discovery Bay. I needed a little me time, and I got just that. My sister in law gifted me a gift card 2 years ago, and I am kicking myself for taking that long to come here. I looked into it before but I thought it was too pricey to spend a weekend. I'm frugal, not broke. Lol. I just don't like spending money on me. I'm in therapy ???? . Anyway, I needed to get away, and since my husband had to go to Florida for work, I decided to book the mud bath and drive down for the day. When I called to book it, everything just seemed to fall into place. Winter special, plus my gift card, what a steal! I decided to spend the night, just me, myself, and I. I booked the mud bath at 2 pm and checked into my room early at 3:30. I relaxed a bit in the room and then went to dinner around 6 pm. at Sam's Social Club. I took a nice walk down and had the most pleasant dinner with the best customer service I have seen in a long time. Shout out to Belen and Jack! RockStars! I had the shishito peppers and marinated olives as an appetizer and ordered a side of the cauliflower along with my entree, which was the pasta of the day, a yummy scampi. All delicious minus the jam in the cauliflower. I finished it off with the most divine churros I have ever had that I took to go and am having by the fire pit as I write this review after swimming in the adult pool. I am the happiest girl tonight. I can't wait for the morning! * Tip, the churros came with cream and caramel on the side that I didn't realize, but it honestly didn't need it. Thank you Indian Springs. I think I fell in love with you.

I try to get to Indian Springs at least once a year. I've seen it change and grow over the years. My daughter and I recently enjoyed the spa, the mineral pool, the updated room in the lodge (with the most amazing bed, btw), as well as Sam's Social Club (their on site restaurant). The service staff was wonderful and warm. The massage was one of the best we have ever experienced. The food at the pool was delish and the churros at Sam's Social Club are to die for!!!

My only wish is that I could go there every month! Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing couple of days!

The hotel grounds are simply beautiful as was the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The main pool was incomparable, remarkable, and definitely exceeded my expectations. I can't wait for my next stay at this gorgeous and peaceful resort!

Overall a good experience but compared to other restaurants it was less deliberate than our other experiences in Calistoga.

I can't speak to the rooms as I only had dinner there. Short ribs, potatoes, and sauce were delicious, but I preferred more salt. The brocolini were oily and in need of more salt. The bread and butter were cold. I didn't try it but my wife said the fig and arugula pizza was too sweet. The coffee was excellent! I think I ruined it by adding cream though. Even if you like creqm and sugar. I recommend trying it black and then with a little sugar.

The service was great, we had everything we needed.

If you have 7 yr old kids that want to loudly play in luke-warm pools this is the place for you. The rooms are not up to Hyatt standards, there are no 100+ deg pool options, and the hot tub seems to have been under construction for months. Also no sound proofing between rooms. There are better options if you want a real hot spring experience, and this wasn't even cheap. The restaurant is quite good, but you don't need to stay here to eat there.

I was a little disappointed. This is one of the lower cost hot springs places to stay at in Calistoga and I wish I'd paid more. There was visible grime in the dated, tile shower. The staff didn't seem to care much which tells me they probably aren't getting paid well. Hard to explain but everything seemed like it was dialed in and no one cared about the details. The food/drinks we got at the restaurant were good, location great. I wish we'd known before we arrived that the jacuzzi was broken, and it remained broken for the entire holiday weekend. There was only a 90 and 96 degree pool -- luke warm and made for a freezing jog back to our room afterward. I had really been looking forward to a soak in an actual HOT spring. I'm not sure why management didn't think to crank one of the pool temps up until the jacuzzi was fixed (and get it fixed as fast as humanly possible). I could hear everyone in the hot spring pool being so disappointed about it, as were we. For $400+ a night, I expect luxury, and this felt budget.

I especially like coming here in the winter.....great place to lounge by the pool (95deg), even in the rain. the rooms are reasonable and clean with all the amenities (by Calistoga standards). close to shopping ...definitely worth a return visit

Service could be better. The pool has some chemicals that "burned" my skin. I had red spots after the pool visit. Clean rooms, staff friendly. A bit far from the center.

A magical place that can be enjoyed when it’s sunny or raining! Floating in the mineral hot pool is one of my favorite things to do - it’s especially magical at night!
