Stayed one night. Nice hotel and great location. We had a 2nd floor balcony and we loved that we could hear the street action and live music from our room. Room was spacious and comfy. They do need to tend to the balcony floor - the wood decking has seen better days, but I would still stay in the exact room again.

Room was nice, hotel in a great location. Plenty of amenities and staff was kind and helpful.
Looked like there was mold on the tiles/grout and possibly on the shower liner. During and after taking a shower, we had non-stop sneezing/watery eyes/scratchy throat/congestion until after we left our hotel room, then it went away.
There needs to be an accessible outlet on each side of the bed for charging devices, couldn’t access the outlet on one side of the bed.

The location is perfect. The service was spectacular, all except the front desk. The bellmen are amazing and will go above and beyond for you! I don't know how much they get paid, but they probably could use a raise for as hard as they work. The rooms were spacious, all except the bathroom. We rented two rooms. One of the rooms did not have air condition. I called at 8PM to tell them this, then I called back every 20 minutes for an update as they were not communicating with me a resolution and I had a pregnant person and a child in this room. The problem did not get resolved until 11 PM when my husband walked down to the lobby to get it resolved. Then they moved their room to a better room, thankfully, and the very nice doorman came up to help. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel is also very clean and has 24/7 valet.

No shampoo- also BLACK MOLD all over stair wells. The baseboards of rooms are rotted out. Beautiful lobby and great location. Everything else needs some work.
Has bar up by pool that was never opened. What’s the point??

Recently stayed at this Omni hotel as we enjoy Omni Hotels and have stayed at several from New Hampshire to Florida. (We have an account via their App).

The location in the French Quarter of New Orleans is perfect if that’s your desired location.
Service/Staff are phenomenal, friendly, informative, polite, and welcoming.
Alfredo the Bellman was outstanding, he was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
Front Desk Staff was great!!!

Sadly, there were a few negatives in our room which is why I gave 3 star rating, I understand it’s an older hotel but it can still be properly maintained.

Our room was clean, but for an “upgraded” room from the room we originally booked it was a bit disappointing.
Bathroom very small, and the bathtub was awful, when we showered water came out of the shower head and water spigot at the same time no matter how many attempts to rectify the situation and even after 10 minutes of running the water, barely warm water to shower in.
All tables had labels showing “electrical outlets” but in order for my husband to use his C-Pap machine he literally had to move the nightstand on his side of the bed, reach under the headboard to plug in the cord to activate the “outlets” on his nightstand.
On my bedside it was a good thing I did not need to plug in anything because the side of the nightstand where “outlets” were indicated was up against the wall.

Just know that you will also not get the best nights sleep as there is constant street noise all night long.

Again, for an Omni Hotel our “upgraded” room was disappointing.

Valet service was good, but the price was higher than other Omni Resorts we’ve stayed at that are bigger with a lot more amenities.

Neither recommend or not recommend.

We came for sightseeing, tours and visit family. The service is AMAZING!!! We haven't encountered anyone who wasn't friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the city. LOVE the location. It's close enough to everything to walk. Our room was amazing. We got one with a balcony. The Hotel is older, but it has A LOT of the New Orleans character in the design of the rooms and throughout. The only thing I would critique is very minor. The refrigerator is cute but needs better quality. But it served the purpose.

Ya Donna West was an outstanding singer at the Omni. RIB ROOM BAR AND RESTAURANT.

We came for dinner and music. I'm was not disappointed.

I liked the hotel.... but it looks like it needs some upgrades and clean up..... it looks a bit beat up and not what you would typically expect at an Omni property.

Great place in the quarter, right next to everything you need. Staff is friendly, rooms are cozy, and you can’t hear bourbon.

We started our vacation at another hotel but room was small and near Bourbon St. we decided to inquire with the Omni about a room. Julie Yates and Staff were more than accommodating and provided the best experience any guest could have asked for and then some. Thank you for the hospitality as the two best things in New Orleans as well as all of Louisiana is the people and the food.

We were charged twice for our stay even though we pre paid through Expidia. The Omni charged us for the rooms. Then the next day charges us again. After confronting them about the two charges (pre paid by Expidia) they did take off the first charge, but then charged us again for the rooms the next day. When my wife again spoke to the manager, she was told to take the issue up with our bank.

We have stayed several times at the Omni on prior trips, but after the service we received, we will never stay there again. The drinks at the bar were also hit or miss depending on what bartender was working or wait staff they had working the bar. We were very disappointed with the response from the staff in a mistake they made twice. No effort was made to help or fix the problem.

Be warned if you use a credit card to check for extra charges as we did going to the omni in New Orleans.

I was the mother of the groom tasked with putting together a hotel package for our out of town wedding guests. The Royal Omni was a perfect choice. From the start, my booking experience was personal. I was able to have a seasoned concierge, Ms Julie Yates who made booking easy. Everyone enjoyed their rooms and the attention given to detail. The food was great, our guests loved the heated pool, the central location of the hotel and the friendly staff who bent over backwards to help. I also enjoyed the old world feel of the Omni, beautiful flower arrangements, paintings and decor matched its long history in the French Quarter.

This feels a little like a once Grande Dame that needs a facelift. The decor is well appointed, but tired. The rooms were fairly big and we had a jacuzzi in our bathroom. A nice feature but it made for a difficult shower. The location couldn't be better and is far enough removed from the Bourbon St. craziness. The staff are great, from the front desk to the doorman to the dining room staff and bar. Special shout out to Madison in the bar, going for a night cap was a wonderful treat.

I went to the AKA Cotillion brunch honoring this year's Queen Hope Singleton. The decor was perfect, the food was good and the service was excellent.

The Omni was an excellent experience, very clean establishment. Parking garage was next door. We will be using the Omni from now on.

The hotel is beautiful and historic! The staff were professional and accommodating and the location was spot on for walkability!
