Les notes et les avis ci-dessous reflètent les opinions subjectives des membres et non l'avis du Petit Futé.
• Welcoming reception staff: The team at the front desk was friendly and trustworthy—no pre-authorisation taken, and the booking and check‑in prices were transparent.
• Stunning location and design: The estate is visually captivating from every angle, with beautiful architecture, curated artwork, and designer furniture that elevate the overall atmosphere.
• Strong sustainability ethos: They demonstrated genuine commitment to local communities, organic practices, and environmental responsibility. Many ingredients used in the restaurant come directly from the estate itself.
Cons
• Room mismatch without notice: The room we received did not correspond to the original booking. No explanation was provided at check‑in (not clear if this was meant to be an upgrade)
• Style over practicality: Many design choices prioritize aesthetics over function. For example, the sinks are elegant but impractical, with short taps that make washing difficult; and the restaurant plates, while attractive, are unstable and prone to tipping.
• Unresolved maintenance issues: A malfunctioning Japanese toilet remained unfixed throughout our stay; there was also no Wi‑Fi signal in our room, and minor wear-and-tear was visible.
• Discreet signage lacking clarity: While tasteful, the understated signage makes orientation around the estate more challenging for guests.
• Lapses in service follow‑through: We left our car key with reception to have it charged, but the service was not completed.
Overall Feedback
Domaine des Andéols is a visually enchanting and conceptually inspiring retreat that showcases strong values in sustainability and service. However, some design choices hinder practical comfort, and a few service and maintenance oversights impacted our stay. Efforts to enhance operational consistency—especially addressing room expectations, functional design, and follow‑through on guest services—would significantly elevate the overall experience.
As a positive gesture, the management acknowledged our feedback at checkout and offered a bottle of wine—reflecting a commendable willingness to listen and make amends.
Calme absolu. Piscine exceptionnelle. Vraiment bien !
tant l hotel que le restaurant.
Three night stay in a “Nature” suite was pleasant enough but not exactly fabulous, unless maybe home is a city centre apartment somewhere.
Patio garden overgrown, housekeeping distinctly lacking on amenity replenishment and, in keeping with many modern hotels today, motion sensor lighting that is more of a hinderance than a help.
Overall staff were quite friendly but not exactly efficient, booking for a hairdresser took over an hour with no result. Two minutes on Google myself and a phone call later, done.
Finally the restaurant. Unfortunately, my wife was ill for a few days (not due to the hotel I stress) so we did not get to try much, but the final dinner saw a single langoustine of shrimp proportions (at Euro 38) and duck that had to be returned as too tough to even cut. Overall very poor standard, which could also be said of breakfast. Standard motel fare I’m afraid.
A shame, could be so much better.
En ce qui concerne le restaurant des efforts restent à faire sur la consistance de la cartes et des menus pour les longs séjours à l hôtel
