Mike and Shelagh were wonderful hosts, and they did a marvelous job turning the old farmhouse into a lovely home. We had a great time.

Don't hesitate for a moment, book a stay at La Cour Carree. As others have noted, the decor is fabulous and Shelagh and Michael are absolutely lovely. Wonderful breakfast and just a truly special place to stay.

Una magnífica restauració de casa francesa típica, transformada en hotel! Decorada amb exquicitessa. Molta amabilitat del propietari. L'esmorzar complert i atent, servit per el mateix propietari. Suc de taronja acabat d'exprimir...pa de forn de pedra...iogout casolà. Molt ben situat al centre de Carcassonne i a un pas de la Cotxe. Pàrquing públic devant de 18:30 a 9 no pagues i al migdia tampoc. La resta1€ més d'una hora

Only a simple word: FANTASTIC!
Sheilagh and Michael are lovely and make you really at ease!
They love to host people with bicycles and we really appreciated it!
Breakfast was wonderful and it was served with such an elegance including sophisticated crockery! Amazing!!!

I stayed at La Cour Carree for four wonderful nights in July; Shelagh and Mike were incredibly welcoming and friendly, always willing to help and recommend wonderful local restaurants. The house itself is beautiful, full of antiques from all corners of the world, and serene; rooms, while without air-con, were always clean and well-presented and the breakfast every morning (local pastries, homemade jam, yoghurt and fruit salad) was a definite highlight. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone as a base for exploring this stunning region. Thank you both (:
