Do be prepared for the prices — as with any truly high-quality experience, it comes at a fair cost!
Petite attention pour Chloé
I strongly recommend this restaurant.
Perfect staff
Perfect food
Perfect everything
We are coming back❤️
Made our last night in cannes memorable.
A superb steak.
You will enjoy it.
When the staff have a second service reservation however, they will rush and hurry you.
We were kindly given bread, but no oil & balsamic and no butter.
Cutlery was taken for the starters to prepare for the main, told new knives were coming, but no.
The butter for the bread arrived fifteen minutes later, with no cutlery to butter the bread. (Back of a spoon was improvised)
This is understandable, but when asked for a dessert to go.
To be told it's not possible and then to be told that yes service is included, but that you need to pay a tip on top of the already included service.
It makes you wonder if it's worth being pushed around.
So, the food was great and the service was irritating with simple things missed.
Enjoy
Voilà le nec plus ultra.
Four years ago, my boyfriend and I discovered La Cave in Cannes, and it instantly became one of those rare places that feel like home from the moment you walk in. When we returned recently, I wondered if it would still hold the same magic—but the moment we stepped through the door, I knew. Nothing had changed. The warmth, the charm, and the heart of this place were just as I remembered.
Pascal and Alison are the kind of hosts who make you feel like family. Their passion for what they do shines through in every detail, from the welcoming atmosphere to the carefully curated selection of wines. And then there’s Alison’s cooking—pure comfort food, made with so much love. Every bite is nourishing, like something your family would cook for you when you need a little extra care.
You must try the steak with pepper sauce—perfectly cooked, rich, and flavorful, it’s the kind of dish that makes you slow down and savor every bite. And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying the tarte tatin! It’s golden, caramelized, and just the right balance of sweet and buttery—a true taste of indulgence.
La Cave isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. A place where time slows down, where conversations flow as easily as the wine, and where you leave feeling just a little happier than when you arrived. Coming back after all these years felt like reuniting with an old friend, and I already know it won’t be my last visit.
If you’re in Cannes, this is a place you simply can’t miss.
However we visited again le cave and found the quality far below our expectations.. most dishes were precooked and warmed up before service
And the prices were way to high 61 euros for a pre cooked steak and its side dishes
As also the wines were way overpriced
100 euros for a clos de fee that costs 60 euros in restaurant affable ( just around the corner)
Too bad they missed out completely…
A tourist trap …..
