Pas de clim, eau chaude faiblarde le matin, ascenseur capricieux. Le Meurice a eu des belles années mais a-t-il encore la force de tenir debout ?
De Gaulle aurait dormi au Meurice, j'attends toujours le "je vous ai compris" de la part du staff
Das Personal war sehr nett und das Parken in der Garage (auch wenn sehr eng) hat gut funktioniert.
Mir ist es persönlich deutlich zu teuer für das was man bekommt. Teilweise zu alt das Interieur und teilweise schon fast kaputt. Irgendwo hört dann der Charme auch auf.
Die Lage ist gut.
Au calme dans le centre de Calais, un vrai havre de paix. Lieu feutré, atypique qui ne manquera pas de vous séduire. Allez y sans hésiter!!

Die Terrassenmöbel weggestellt, nicht für uns nett hingestellt und auch dreckig. Schade, die Terrasse wäre klasse gewesen aber so verschmutzt nicht nutzbar. Und wir hatten über eine Woche vorher Gebucht. Also es wäre Zeit gewesen!
Das Zimmer ist das einzige mit Garten und Terrasse, wir haben es gewählt weil wir mit unserem Hund dort waren, der aber nur an einem der Beiden Tage mit zum Frühstück durfte.
Das Zimmer hatte einen unangenehmen Geruch und der Teppich seine besten Tage lange hinter sich. Zudem hatten wir Ameisen im Zimmer, wahrscheinlich durch den schlechten Putz des Terrassentürrahmens.
Insgesamt war es eigentlich nett hergerichtet, das Bad mit freistehender Wanne und Waschtisch. Ebenerdige offene Duschzelle für zwei...
Die Matratze und besonders die Kopfkissen waren super.
Das Frühstück war okay.
Eine Tiefgarage mit 2 Chargern für ca. 8 Fahrzeuge gibt es auch. Es war sogar ein Land Rover drin, auch unser Auto 5x1,97m+Spiegel passte rein, aber super eng.
Geräuschkulisse ging so, das Hotel selber war sehr ruhig. Die Lage ist gut aber nicht schön.
Melanie and Thierry provide their customers with a wonderful experience with exemplary customer service. All of the staff are so welcoming and friendly.
The rooms are lovely, with new comfortable mattresses and the bedding is always clean and fresh. We stayed in a superior room and the facilities in the room are fantastic. Lovely en suite shower room, large with a walk in rain shower.
Breakfast is buffet style with hot and cold options that offer something for all. Excellently presented and prepared.
Paid underground parking is safe a d secure.
We cannot recommend this hotel enough, we regularly travel from Nottingham for just a night in Calais, and staying at this hotel is one of the main reasons we do.
Can't wait to stay again, and if you don't book here when in the Calais area, or travelling through to other regions or back to the UK, you are missing out on a first class experience.
'Hotel Meurice de Calais' was not what I expected. On entering its is quite grand, one could tell it was rather special when new. The stairs to the first floor bedroom [garden facing] could have done with a vacuum. However, the bed room was comfortable; clean and welcoming if not a little bijou. There's also a separate toilet. Amazing, helpful staff and a lovely breakfast in a grand room. Negative would be that its a bit dated, and the wind blowing through the windows kept me awake all night.
