L'expression "Mérite le détour" prend tout son sens avec ce lieu magique. La cuisine est aussi créative que gourmande. Je n'avais plus connu un tel sentiment de plénitude depuis Guy Savoy, notre premier gastro à Paris, et la mare aux oiseaux en Brière. L'endroit est magnifique et l'équipe soudée, accueillante et riche de cultures variées. On a hâte d'y revenir.

One of our favourite wine tour & tasting experiences!
We were a large group & Vincent held everyones attention with his passion & knowledge about Chambert wines. A great ambassador for the vineyard & castle. Tasted 6 wines - that’s a first. Fabulous tour, relaxed & not rushed so we could enjoy the terrace. Highly recommend

Visited three times over the course of the two weeks we spent in the Lot. Twice to the Everest for lunch, which was delicious, in tandem with the beautiful views, as well as for a wine tour and drinks on the patio by the Holodeck, the views from which are simply stunning - the tranquillity was priceless. A big thanks to all the team in the Everest and the wine bar for the great service.

The highlight was what can only be described as one of the best family experiences of our lives, when we thoroughly enjoyed the Petit Holodeck menu on the penultimate night of our holiday. The food was extraordinary - a selection of dishes full of imagination, textures, flavours, love and attention. Watching the chefs at work in the open kitchen was part of the whole experience, along with the superb service throughout - we were really looked after, with details of each course and wine. A big plus was the thought that had gone in to providing interesting accompanying drinks for the driver in our group - it really did make a difference.

Overall, we can't recommend visiting Château Chambert enough - a range of things to experience for all the family (house chips for the kids at the Everest for one).

We look forward to the completion of the hotel, as we definitely plan to return.

Cadre superbe, magnifique bâtisse... on se réjouissait à l'avance de déjeuner au château de Chambert mais notre demande de réservation faite le matin même n'a pas été prise en compte par l'équipe... on aurait apprécié qu'une solution soit trouvée, surtout avec les deux enfants affamés qui nous accompagnaient ! Mais non... Nous repartons donc le ventre vide... et déçus !

Heel spontaan hier gestopt, omdat het op de route lag.

Wat een fantastisch heerlijk plekje. Eerst tapas gegeten met uitzicht over de wijnranken. Goed geholpen door een hele lieve vrouw. Ze was ook heel lief voor de kinderen en maakte zelfs nog een extra portie kaas voor de oudste.

Daarna een wijnproeverijtje gedaan, terwijl de kinderen speelden in het speelhoekje.

Tot slot nog een ree gespot tussen de wijnranken.

Wow! Wat een mooie plek. Wij komen zeker nog een keer terug als het hotel en spa (in het chateau) af is!

Unforgettable afternoon at the wine garden! The surroundings were idyllic, and the atmosphere was perfect for relaxation. Our guide, Vincent, was a true gem. His passion for wine was contagious, and his ability to explain complex topics in a clear and engaging way was impressive. The wine tasting was a delight, and we left with a newfound appreciation for the local varietals. A must-do for any wine lover!

Genoten van de gastvrijheid van de dames die ons hebben laten proeven in het proeflokaal en in de wijnbar rond lunchtijd.

We waren met kleine kinderen, vooraf gecheckt of dit niet als storend werd gezien voor andere gasten, maar ze waren zeer welkom. Ideaal dat er een klein speelhoekje in het proeflokaal is zodat wij rustig alle wijnen konden proeven.

Geweldige wijnen, perfect naar onze smaak. Diverse wijnen zijn ook prijswinnaar, dus ook naar de smaak van die van anderen.

We kosten diverse dozen en losse flessen en gaan er thuis in Nederland van nagenieten.

Went for a wine tasting. Vincent was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and generous with his time. As we arrived close to closing time he even patiently stayed late to allow us finishing our tasting. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic experience at the Holodeck restaurant at Château de Chambert, we weren’t sure what to expect as I think the restaurant is fairly new and I hadn’t seen many photos of the food or information on the menu but we followed their lead on arrival.

We arrived 20 minutes early for our dinner reservation, and drove up to the chateau where the views of the vineyard were spectacular. We met a lovely lady in the tasting room who let us try some wines. We had a run through of the chateau and the plans for the future. We then took a glass of our chosen wine to the terrace and enjoyed the view.

We were greeted by our fantastic host who offered us sparkling Malbec and the start of our menu on the terrace.

After our canapés we moved into the restaurant to choose our wine and to be made comfortable, the restaurant is excuisically decorated with beautiful ambient lighting and open kitchen.

The chef showed exceptional skill with a balanced menu of fresh ingredients.

We chose the smaller menu but were pleasantly surprised, there were countless high quality ingredients and we lost track of how many courses we had.

The Asian citrus langoustine dish was my husbands favourite and mine was the Mediterranean John Dory dish, but every course was brilliantly executed.

We were 2 of 10 diners, it made for a very special evening, the service was superb, even though our waiter sommelier did not speak much English and our French isn’t great, he did a fantastic job of simplifying the French to explain the dishes.

Everything was perfect and timed to perfection, we did not want to leave! Highly recommend to any foodies visiting the area. We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you!

Not knowing all that much about wine but enthousiastic to learn more we did the guided tour last monday (15/7/2024) and spent about 1,5 hours listening to Vincent (native English speaker) and asking all the questions we had at the time about wine making, tasting, keeping it in a cellar etc etc. The tour included tasting some wines accompanied by some interesting factoids for a wine-noob like me. Thanks Vincent for sharing your knowledge and introducing us to the interesting ‘Bio Dynamic Wine’ -processes and its implementation at Chateau Chambert with its unique multiple terroirs.

We besloten het Chateau Chambert te bezoeken vanwege het biodynamische karakter. Bij aankomst bleek het holodeck bezet te zijn vanwege een bedrijfsevent. Wij (2 personen) konden wel een guided tour doen. Het was erg interessant te zien hoe zonder gebruik te maken van chemische bestrijdings middelen de wijnstokken in goede conditie gehouden worden. Dit is een intensieve dagelijkse activiteit. De nauwkeurigheid van werken is zichtbaar in de wijngaard als wijnkelder. Samen met aanhoren van de historie maakte het geheel een interessante ervaring. Vervolgens hebben we een aantal wijnen geproefd. Hoe meer we proefden hoe enthousiaster we werden.
In het restaurant zijn wij niet geweest. Een goede reden om terug te komen.
Chateau Chambert, merci.
Ps, mochten bepaalde feiten in mijn herinnering niet kloppen dan is Malbec hier schuldig aan.

Mon compagnon et moi avons passé une excellente soirée dans ce restaurant. Les plats étaient vraiment très bons du début à la fin, et les accords mets et vins réalisés par le sommelier Laurent Devos étaient très intéressants. Nous avons été très bien accueillis, et le cadre avec la vue sur les vignes est magnifique, tout comme le restaurant lui-même.
Hâte de revenir manger chez vous !!

Un superbe domaine à Floressas à quelques minutes de la Buissière.
On y arrive par une petite route d'où l'on aperçoit très bien le Château Chambert.
Arrivé au parking une magnifique allée pavée à l'ancienne mène au caveau de dégustation et au restaurant.
Très belle dégustation durant laquelle il nous est conté l'histoire du Château Chambert et présenté les différents sols du domaine. Si les vins du Château Chambert ont acquis leurs réputation c'est grâce au travail du viticulteur mais aussi au palais de son épouse sans oublier la spécificité de chaque parcelle de terrain.
Bref, un conseil aller visiter le Château Chambert et déguster les vins du domaine ! Vous ne le regretterez pas !

We had the most incredible dinner last night at Chateau Chambert’s restaurant Holodeck.

From the incredible setting, friendly and professional hospitality to the outstanding food I must strongly recommend a visit. Of special note also was the flexibility around specific dietary requirements and of course the wine from their winery- really superb.

L'option Vega est possible, mais ils excellent également dans le poisson local (il n'y avait pas de viande). Un ami avait des accords mets et vins, également très réussis (et abordables !). Le restaurant est de petite taille avec une cuisine ouverte. Ambiance détendue, seul le chef qui apportait occasionnellement un plat parlait anglais, mais le somelier parlait un français calme et correct donc c'était correct à suivre - un homme très sympa et une touche d'humour. Nous reviendrons certainement ici!

Heerlijke avond gehad! Waanzinnig lekker eten, goed tempo en zeer verfijnd. Vega optie is mogelijk, maar ze blinken wel uit ook in lokale vis (vlees niet gehad). Vriendin had wine pairing, ook erg geslaagd (en betaalbaar!). Het restaurant is kleinschalig met open keuken. Ontspannen sfeer, alleen de chef die zo nu en dan een gerecht bracht sprak Engels, maar de somelier sprak rustig en correct Frans dus dat was okey te volgen - erg aardige man én vleugje humor. We komen hier zeker terug!
