Château Ormes de Pez – Saint-Estèphe, France
This charming château was where I spent the first two nights of my Bordeaux trip — and it set the bar incredibly high. From the moment I booked, the hospitality was above and beyond. The host reached out in advance with a list of recommended restaurants, helped make reservations before I even arrived, and made sure everything was perfectly arranged.
Honestly, the level of care and professionalism here exceeded that of many 5-star hotels I’ve experienced.
The stay was peaceful and homey. The château itself is surrounded by nature with open space to walk and unwind. My room had a warm, traditional charm — classic without feeling old or intimidating. Most importantly, it was spotlessly clean, which I really appreciated as someone sensitive to dust. I slept so well.
Breakfast was simple but delicious, and considering the level of service and comfort, the price felt more than fair — especially compared to other accommodations around the Médoc.
Even though I was only here for a short time, it made a lasting impression. If I return to Bordeaux, I’d love to stay here again.

Ideen:
° Wände oder Vorhänge an den Badewannen
° Bouleplatz
° regionale bzw. regional deklarierte Lebensmittel zum Frühstück

We had a charming 2 night stay here in May and wish it had been much longer. Gilles is a wonderful , thoughtful and very professional gentleman. His kindness was most appreciated.A lovely ,charming, country house in the Medoc. He recommended the best dinner restaurants, esp St Julien. Its location is most advantageous to the top vineyards.
Made delicious breakfasts and gave wise and smart advice. The Chateau Orme de Pez is gracious and spacious, and their garden park is so lovely. Its so quiet and peaceful at night. Gilles made our wine visits to Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron and Chateau Lynch Bages possible and enjoyable. Much superior to the overpriced, cramped small rooms of Maison Estournel. Would happily return to Chateau Orme in a heartbeat. Au revoir Gilles!

Encroyable!! This is a beautiful chateaux. The rooms are huge and there's lots of communical space to use but still feel like you're the only ones there. We basically had the whole place to ourselves, great sized pool out the back and free bikes to use to visit the local vineyards.
The châteaux managers are very kind and helpful. They made the tastiest scrambled eggs I've ever had. Do not miss their breakfast - I cannot stress that enough. Helluva wine cellar too.
Can't recommend highly enough.
