We’d booked a balcony room and yep, the balcony was definitely the star of the show. The hotel itself? Lived-in. A little scuffed paint here, a bit of crumbling plaster there - nothing dramatic, just not quite what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel.
The aircon...what aircon? It wasn't working in our room, we flagged it, but nothing happened. Luckily it was only April, so we didn’t melt, but in summer? That could be a deal breaker.
The bed didn’t give 5-star cloud vibes, but it did the job. The hot water took a holiday one morning but the staff sorted us out with showers at a nearby sister hotel. Not ideal, but appreciated.
Breakfast - I went down once for breakfast and it was fine. Nothing special. If I had a do-over, I wouldn't book the breakfast and just go out for a pastry in the morning (which is what we ended up doing anyway). My partner was happy enough with it.
Coffee machine in the reception area is a nice touch, grabbing a quick nespresso pod before heading out in the morning was good.
Location-wise, we were delighted. Tucked on a quiet street, with the metro close by and the charming Montmartre area just a stroll away. Boulangeries and great eats all around.
Bottom line: if you’re the type who spends hours lounging in a luxe hotel bed, this might not be your scene. But if you’re mostly out exploring and just need a decent crash pad at a fair price for Paris? This place will do the trick (especially if balconies are your thing).
Great location
Silent street
Helpful team
Clean rooms
Everyday cleaning service
Enhorabuena!! ☺️????
Decent value.
Chambre propre et agréable
Petit déjeuner au top!
We booked this hotel on their website because it had good reviews, we wrote them an email because we had a question but they never replied, when we arrived they gave us the wrong room, we showed them our booking confirmation and they had a different one without details (we booked a room with a balcony and two separated beds) this option was on their website but they said it’s not possible and it’s not their fault that it was written on their website, they told us that it would be only for one night.
The next morning they couldn’t give us the right room and they told us they would change it tomorrow. We asked to call the manager and they did, she offered a second room for free only for one night. After two nights of sleeping in two different rooms they finally gave us the right one. They even recorded me complaining so they could show it to their manager and find out if its the hotel’s problem.
We slept two nights in the right room but when we checked out they made us pay for the wrong room because they couldn’t cancel it and “they didn’t know if we slept there” (the two nights we slept in the right room), they refused to call the manager and we were obliged to pay extra.
Every day there was a different receptionist and we had to explain our problem all over again!
Also they wouldn’t let us cancel our breakfast even though it was written on their website.
Our stay was terrible and all they gave us was discomfort!
Bed too
1 - Had a room in the 2nd floor, it's full of dust, you can't breathe, everything is prehistoric old
2 - Reception doesn't care about guests, had to complain about the shower handle issue, it was just written on a piece of paper and never taken care of
3 - Zero privacy, reception keeps eyeing you wherever you go
4 - If you're gonna reply to my comment by copy/pasting from somewhere like you did to all the other comments and like you small dusty 2 star hotels always do, just don't, it's obvious to everybody that you don't care about the customer, you just want the money
PS : Bring your own water, they charge you 3x the price for a tiny bottle
