Avis Idol Hôtel Paris

Une expérience hors du commun dans un hôtel au caractère bien trempé. Les chambres sont nommées individuellement et ont chacune leur style. La mienne, la "Joy", avait un style années 70 bien trempé et très sympathique.
L'hôtel est à moins de 10 minutes à pied de la gare Saint Lazare, ce qui est parfait !

Quelques légers bémols :
- le système d'ampli bluetooth ne fonctionne pas
- les chambres sont mal insonorisées et on entend trop ce qui se passe dans les chambres adjacentes...

Remarque : le petit déj' est succulent !

Chambres un peu petites mais sympas, personnel et ambiance agréables, proche du métro.

Tres bel endroit pour un week-end en amoureux proche de la gare st lazare .. originalité des chambres en fond un lieu projeté dans le passé..toutefois un petit rafraîchissement de la salle de bain serait un plus ..chambre jungle g adoré..le seul bémol le petit dej .. pauvre ..la prochaine fois nous irons brunché.. ailleurs

We have just finished our 4 night stay at Idol Hotel. And our honest review is below.

Positives:

- Amazing location, lots of nice places to eat and grab drinks. Approx 35 min walking to the Louvre and Metro stations are nearby. There’s a mini Monop supermarket on the road which is really convenient if you need to pick things up.
- One of the women on reception gave us a fantastic recommendation for a steak place in Paris. They don’t accept bookings, so you have to arrive an hour early to get one of the first sittings, but it’s worth the wait. The name of the restaurant escapes me but hopefully they will be able to point you in the right direction at reception.
- The mattress is AMAZING. We stayed in the Feeling Good suite and it’s a super king with a firm mattress but soft topper- making it the perfect balance for most people.
- Really lovely Nuxe products are in the room for you to use, along with dressing gowns which is a nice touch.
- There’s a coffee machine which is free to use in the reception area which is handy for those early morning starts. There’s one in the room too but we didn’t use this.
- We stayed here to celebrate my 40th birthday and they kindly put balloons and chocolates in the room, along with a note wishing me a happy birthday which was a lovely way to start our stay.

Negatives:

- The most important thing that everyone should be made aware of is that the heating and cooling system for the whole hotel is intertwined; meaning that if one person wants the heating on, then all the rooms in the hotel have their heating on. Our suite was on the top floor (level 6) which meant that it warmed up considerably during the day. When we asked for the cooling system to come on, they initially agreed to this (which was lovely and cool!) but they then decided to turn the heating back on when another guest asked for heating. This is not what you expect when paying this kind of money for a suite at a 4 star hotel- each room should be controlled individually as heat and cooling is a personal preference. This really affected our stay after the heat wave. They did provide a fan on our last night but it didn’t make a huge difference to the temperature in the room.
- The Bluetooth sound system in the room didn’t work. They were really proactive with getting us a plug in speaker but for us, but we were expecting a higher standard of facilities.
- The wallpaper is peeling away in places and is coming away at the seams. This doesn’t affect your overall stay but, when paying this much money, you would hope for things to not look run down.
- The photos on the website don’t fully show the amenities in the room. Our suite came with a shower and steam room, which is great, but after many hours of walking around Paris it would have been nice to soak and relax in a bath.
- The shower/steam room is nice and spacious but the tiles on the floor have mould/mildew (as shown in the pic for this review). The draining isn’t very good on it either, so you end up with a pool of water where it doesn’t drain fast enough.
- If you are hoping to unwind with a bit of tv, please be aware that there is no smart tv facilities in the room. We travelled from the uk and the only channel we could watch was BBC news. On the upside, I learnt a lot about Lady Gaga from the only channel we could watch as they had a special interview on about her ????

Overall, we made this booking to celebrate a special occasion so, while I appreciate there were positives, the issue with the heating and cooling system in our room was a real issue for us. It affected our sleep and general comfort levels which, for me, is a deal breaker when considering booking to stay here again. If you aren’t affected by these kind of things, then you will probably fair much better.

Une équipe à l'écoute, une ambiance chaleureuse, une chambre propre et tout cela dans un cadre musical, cosy et agréable.

Modern gestaltete Zimmer in einem zentralen und ruhigen Pariser Stadtviertel (Europe), von dem aus mit mehreren Metrostationen die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten von Paris erreicht werden können. Bei der Buchung über ein Reisebüro unbedingt vermerken lassen, ob man eine Dusche im Zimmer wünscht oder ein separates Bad. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und stärkt für den gesamten Tag. Um das Hotel herum gibt es viele Möglichkeiten Frühstück, Mittag- oder Abendessen zu gehen.

Awesome hotel. Rooms are small, but that’s Paris and room sizes are available when booking. Comfy bed, quiet at night. Super groovy.

I’m wary of leaving this review since we’ve finally found our perfect Paris hotel and I’m not sure I want to share it and find it gets more difficult to reserve! But the owners deserve a genuine 5 star review. Reception is very welcoming and helpful. The room (ours was ‘Light my Fire’) was perfect: very comfortable bed, excellent shower, separate toilet, good space (for a few days clothing) and absolutely spotless each day we returned. There is a lovely lounge/breakfast area with an all day coffee machine with caffeinated and decaf offerings. The breakfast itself was ideal for us (juices, fruit salad, cereals, meats, egg/sausage, plenty of pastries and bread). The ‘honesty bar’ was also an unexpected treat. And all this in a great location (quiet street a few minutes walk from the metro and St Lazare station - 25 minutes walk to the Place de la Concorde). All excellent value for money. We are definitely returning!

Je suis resté une semaine entière dans cette hôtel à la fin du mois de février. Dans l’ensemble, mon avis est assez mitigé. ||Les points positifs : ||1 Les chambres sont propres et le ménage est fait régulièrement, de manière très rigoureux. |2. Les produits Nuxe mis à disposition de la salle de bains etaient de très bonne qualité.|3 La chambre était située dans un endroit calme malgré la proximité de la Gare Saint-Lazare. |4 Une des employées de la réception était très sympathique.||Les points négatifs sont les suivants : |1. Le petit-déjeuner est le point faible de l’hôtel. Bien qu’il soit théoriquement servi à partir de 7h, il faut attendre 7h30 pour avoir des œufs brouillés. Le choix est très limité et le pain se réduit à de la baguette et à du pain au céréales mal tranché (il a été pré tranché à la machine mais de manière superficielle. Comme aucun couteau à pain n’est mis à disposition, il est impossible d’en prendre une tranche sans le déchiqueter). De plus, le service est presque inexistant… tout cela pour 17€. |2. Une des employées de la réception s’est montrée moyennement aimable lors de mon arrivée matinale ; elle m’a fait comprendre (assez froidement) que j’arrivais trop tôt et que le Check in n’était proposé qu’à partir de 16h. Elle ne m’a d’ailleurs ni invité à m’asseoir ni proposé de garder ma valise jusqu’à ce que la suite soit prête ; j’ai dû en faire la demande. Étant donné que j’avais réservé la meilleure suite de l’hôtel (et par conséquent la plus onéreuse) et que mon séjour était d’une semaine complète, je me serais attendu à plus d’égards de la part de cette dame. Je tiens à préciser qu’arriver entre 10h et midi n’a jamais posé le moindre problème dans les autres hôtels parisiens dans lesquels j’ai séjourné. ||Cet établissement a des atouts mais gagnerait en qualité en améliorant la qualité du petit-déjeuner et la formation de certains collaborateurs.

I had a perfect experience, room may be a bit short for people above 1.90m, but other than that the stay was nice

L'Hôtel est bien situé, la chambre est bien décorée et propre mais la literie est horrible, le lit est mou, on s'enfonce dedans et les oreillers très durs et haut. On dort avec la nuque cassée et le corps enfoncé dans le matelas. Impossible de dormir malgré le calme de l'emplacement !! Dommage si le lit était mieux le séjour aurait été parfait !

The Idol has been helpful and welcoming from the very beginning. Their food is just amazing with great quality and the staffs always left me amazed with the way they clean up the room every single day of my stay

Très bien situé, à proximité de la gare St. Lazare. Excellent accueil. la déco très originale. Chambre de taille standard pour Paris, très confortable et salle de bain nikel, calme et propre. Petit déjeuner avec du choix et très bon.

La chambre était très agréable et calme. Le personnel est charmant et à votre écoute. Bon rapport qualité prix.

I cancelled by mistake my "non refundable" reservation. I called them 5 minutes later to reinitiate my reservation. They have taken 750 euro payment for 5 nights, didn't reinitiate the reservation which was cancelled by mistake and they told me to rebook from booking.com and pay for a second time. Never choose this hotel again. Booking.com didn't take any responsibility and couldn't support me as well.

Мы были в этом ОТЕЛЕ как дома.ТУТ РАБОТАЮТ ПРОФЕССИОНАЛЬНЫЕ ЛЮДИ. Мы ненашли никаких недостатков в этом отеле а испытали комфорт и приятные эмоции.Большое спасибо девушке на ресепшен с пирсингом не знаю как её зовут но это очень благородный человек готовый вам помочь в любой ситуации.По отелю можно смело сказать что тут нет недостатков только одни достоинства. Мы уже планируем вернуться сюда летом.

Very nice clean hotel. Problem with the rooms in your downtime after a day walking seeing the sights. All the channels were French. Could do with access to Netflix or a telly where you can screen mirror your phone. Or, of course, more channels in English would be an awesome addition to the stay.

Très bien, peut-être à part la porte de douche qui ne ferme pas très bien. Mais sinon très bien. Chambre: Moon Blue. Lit très bien, propreté très bien. Café/Thé/Tisane disponibles en libre service, très bien. Voyage seul mais peut être effectué à deux. Nuit calme pas de bruit.

Style très original mais quel dommage que les chambres soient si vieilles et abîmées.
Accueil nickel, et petit déjeuner également !
Si vous êtes clostrophobe: oubliez ! Les chambres sont petites..

Hotel à la décoration ravissante. Chambre pas très grandes mais calmes, parfaitement agencées ( bravo à l'architecte pourl 'optimisation) à la décoration très stylée et très agréable; super look. petit déjeuner délicieux, varié et super frais; personnel charmant. Très bon emplacement.

L'emplacement est excellent, à 10 minutes à pied du Printemps de Paris ou de La Folle, à 20 minutes du Louvre et à 25 minutes des Champs-Élysées. Le service est vraiment bon, chaque membre du personnel accueille les clients avec le sourire. Il y a une machine à café dans le hall pour du thé, du café et du chocolat chaud gratuits 24 heures par jour. Les chambres sont un peu anciennes mais leur design est intéressant.

Nous avons passé trois nuits dans cet hôtel lors de notre voyage en Europe et nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour. Le personnel était courtois, amical et serviable. Nous avions deux chambres au même étage.
Le hall était artistiquement décoré sur le thème des musiciens de rock. Propre, chic et esthétique. L'hôtel s'adresse aux jeunes touristes et aux couples. L'ascenseur était très petit et il fallait faire attention en montant car les escaliers étaient étroits.
Les chambres étaient modernes, propres et confortables. Conçues avec goût. Les lits étaient confortables. Douche propre, moderne et chaude. Après avoir marché toute la journée dans Paris, j'avais vraiment besoin d'un endroit agréable et propre pour me détendre.
A deux pas de la boulangerie, de l'épicerie, du restaurant, de la gare, du centre commercial et des boutiques.
Quartier calme et sûr.
Je le recommande vivement aux jeunes touristes qui visitent Paris.
Une expérience formidable qui ajoute des souvenirs agréables à notre aventure de voyage.

L'hôtel est bien situé pour se rendre à pied à plusieurs endroits, on peut voir des choses à partir de 20 minutes de marche, la chambre est petite comme l'hôtel, a le nécessaire et une propreté de 10 et le meilleur le chocolat et le café sont gratuits en face de l'hôtel il y a un supermarché pour acheter????

Excellent hôtel, situation privilégiée, chambres très confortables et originales, petit déjeuner délicieux !
Je reviendrai sans aucun doute !

Notre chambre était géniale, ils avaient aussi une autre chambre qui avait de la peinture rouge, ils devraient changer ça, c'est déconcertant de rester dans cette chambre.
