The rooms were a bit small, the drinks and food were a bit expensive. The personnel were wonderful, informative, very helpful and pleasant. The location, for tourists such as ourselves, was absolutely perfect.

This was our second stay at the Pont Royal. We splurged and booked the junior suite with street view on the seventh floor - two small balconies, separate bedroom and sitting areas, and two tv's. Looks right down on the Rue du Bac. Plenty of floor space, but like most all European rooms, minimal closet space. Not cheap, but quiet left bank area, and a relative good buy when you consider everything.||My father was a Sheraton Hotels VP and we lived in when I was growing up, so I know what I'm looking at. These folks are hospitality professionals, and take great care to look after you and provide a high level of service. Front desk staff was most accommodating and would book taxis and dinners at a moments notice. Maids, wait staff, bartenders, doormen, etc. were friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and well-cared for.||Hard to take a shower-minimal side glass on the tub. You have to be very careful not to get water all over the floor. Needs sliding glass door.||Could not be in a better place, location x 3, and near all the bigs. ATM and Metro are a safe 2 block walk. We never felt any pressure. Best thing is a Monoprix mini mart right across the street, to load up on food and drinks to put in your room mini fridge. Second plus is a Michelin starred Joel Robochon restaurant attached next door. The hotel will get you in.||Live Jazz at the bar on Thursday nights. Good local talent. The hotel restaurant has a nice English hunt style breakfast. Or room service on your balcony, where you can see the Eiffel tower in the distance.||Champagne and fresh flowers in our room on arrival, refreshed mid week. Plus some chocolates, and a thoughtful parting gift. Nice touches-they didn't have to.||So if we return to Paris, we would certainly go back...

We stayed in room 601 and had a lovely view of the top half of the Eiffel Tower. A full view of Montmarte, and could see down the street and across the river to the Louvre and Tuileries. The location was excellent for touring Paris. We felt very safe walking. Lots of options for dining, sightseeing, shopping and relaxing in parks. Right next to monoprix and pharmacies for all needs. The staff was friendly and helpful. They provided excellent service when taxi driver from airport could not get credit card machine to work. I would stay here again. Very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning worked. The bathroom was perfect. It really made our trip to Paris so enjoyable. There were outlets by the bed but you had to move the night tables out a little to reach easily. They were light and easy to move for us. There were plugs at desk. Hair dryer in bathroom was good enough the teenager did not complain about it. We did not use the TV at all. There was a mini fridge and we refilled water bottles with tap water and kept cold in the fridge.

The hotel has a good location in terms of getting to Paris' main points of interest. It's a little quieter than the Right Bank, but that does mean fewer restaurants nearby. The rooms and communal areas are maintained to a very high standard, in spite of the age of the hotel / building. There's really nothing to fault in this regard, and the staff were all terrific.||My main criticism would be around value for money - though to be fair, I'm judging on what I expected, not comparing against other Paris hotels. For the price we were paying per night, I expected something sensational, not merely adequate. The breakfast room and the breakfast were just ok ; not befitting the ambience of the rest of the hotel. Street noise was a surprising issue - you aren't far from multiple hospitals so a lot of sirens at night - the single glazed windows don't help.||Finally, whilst I am sure the highest corner penthouse may afford a view of the Eiffel Tower, the photos provided on the booking site were misleading, suggesting that any number of rooms had such a view. I think they need to clarify this in their room description ; more than one person whilst there commented on this

My daughter and I spent four days in Paris and stayed at the Hotel Pont Royal. We had a wonderful time, and the hotel was amazing. We loved the fact that it maintains its historical feel. The front desk staff were welcoming and accommodating, and Alain, the concierge, was so helpful with making dinner reservations and providing us with tips for things to see and do. The room was small but charming and had all the amenities you could ask for-- including a balcony overlooking a lovely Parisian street. Additionally, the neighborhood of St. Germain is lovely. I highly recommend the Hotel Pont Royal. We'll be staying there again whenever we're in Paris!

From the moment we were picked up at the airport to our final day, we felt incredibly well taken care of at Hotel Pont Royal. The hospitality throughout our stay was outstanding.||The front desk staff were consistently warm and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. A special mention goes to the concierge, who was incredibly helpful in securing tickets for both the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay. Her assistance made our visit to Paris all the more memorable.||Housekeeping was impeccable: attentive, discreet, and very accommodating to our needs. We also appreciated the kind gentleman who helped with our bags and ensured we had a taxi arranged for our departure—he was courteous and efficient, a true professional.||All in all, Hotel Pont Royal exceeded our expectations. The service was not only polished but genuinely caring. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paris.

Hotel is rather dated, rooms are quite small for a five star hotel, bathrooms are on need of an upgrade as it was difficult to have a shower without flooding the bathroom. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere is good. Location is excellent

We've stayed at the Pont Royal several times over the past few years, with mixed results. Make sure, if you book a "superior" room, that you ask for a street view. They think they're doing you a favor by giving you a slightly larger room which faces the trash dump in the back of the hotel. Rooms average size, comfortable bed, but not in 21st century yet with ability to charge your electronic devices. Location is what you're getting, right on Rue du Bac, which is a wonderful street to be on in the 7th

We just stayed at this hotel and I will be honest, incredible rip off for what we paid for. We booked through Chase travel and it just shows we aren’t priority. The total for 3 nights was almost $2K USD and I added my points to take off an extra $550. As we came in, we were greeted nicely I’ll say everyone is super friendly but as we went upstairs to our second floor room, which I wasn’t too thrilled about, the sink couldn’t drain. I then asked can we please move to a higher room and she said that we can do it but you can stay there for one night or another room that is two nights but on the last night you’d have to switch. No where did they try to accommodate. I accepted that it is what it is.

Lastly, on the last 24 hours of the trip, their WiFi is down. Now I get it technical stuff happens. They claimed that it’d get resolved, it never did. I’ve been hearing a tech “come out” for the past 12 hours, and nothing even after overnight. Almost $2K for an outdated hotel with no WiFi? This is a complete joke.

I don’t know how it’s rated a 5 star hotel on Google. It is NOT a 5 star. This is a solid 3 star, you’re paying for “space” in the hotel rooms as they aren’t that small which is probably the only one positive thing at this place. They stopped having room service come to clean our room on the second day when at one time we told them to not come in because we were in the room at the time. We asked once, came back, room still wasn’t cleaned. Second time it was, then normally what i did like on the first night was that they did an evening room service getting your room ready for bed, then after that it stopped.

Also my boyfriend mentioned it was our anniversary prior to arriving. They give you one box of small chocolates and in the note, no note of an anniversary. I don’t even know what they wrote besides welcome to our hotel. Super cheap, and definitely an outdated hotel room. Like really you can’t afford a little bit of nice flowers or a bottle of champagne for almost $2K for 3 nights? It was such a pity offering what they had.

The only 5 star is the location, location is great!

Overall, you can get something better with your money. Way too overpriced for what it is. Not even working internet? Give me a break. Will not stay here again.

These people replied to my post and are just argumentative…. Unbelievable. Who the heck says oh this room is available but for two nights only? That’s why you make it right. What was I going to do? I won’t start a whole situation at the time but I wasn’t happy and not ok with it!!! Do not stay here if you want a nice Paris experience!!!

Hotel Pont Royal offers a gracious old European hotel experience. Rooms are well-appointed, bathrooms are updated. Breakfast in a sunny room overlooking a small courtyard garden was excellent. Additional public spaces include a small elegant bar and a quiet comfortable sitting room. Most important the staff could not have been more gracious. There are many wonderful brasseries, boulangeries, and other eateries nearby. Plus an abundance of chocolate shops! Recommend this hotel if you want to stay in Saint Germaine.

I adore this charming hotel. I have stayed here 3 times. It is in the best location in all of Paris and across the street from the best bakery, pharmacy and Monoprix. The staff is so incredibly helpful and the Eiffel Tower views are the cherry on top.

We so enjoyed being able to look out our window each night and seeing the Eiffel Tower light up snd sparkle as well as seeing the Sacre Couer. Thank you for making our five days in Paris so magical.

The hotel is in a great location with plenty of cafe's, restaurants close by within walking distance. The rooms are small but well laid out. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Joel Robuchon's restaurant right next door is incredible. Would stay there again for sure.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. We chose it due to its history and location in Paris. We stayed in a junior suite with a balcony view. The location was great as it was on a quiet street but had great access to the museums and Metro. There were two adults and one child and the room was a great size to accommodate us all. Get the upside down martini at the bar.

Superb hotel in the best location in Paris. Amazing service ????. The only thing I would change is where the blow drier is attached to the bathroom wall. It was on the opposite wallflower the mirror and super inconvenient to use.

The balcony was an amazing option to have, we sat on it every morning and evening. The lobby was very regal. The rooms were nice though would have used a bit more closet room and while that bathroom was elegant, it was a bit awkward to shower without a shower curtain (very difficult to avoid getting water everywhere). We had the breakfast buffet one day and it had a large variety of food options and everything seemed very fresh. Across the street is a large grocery store which was very useful for back up (take out eating options, wine, snacks, etc.). Very nice location with short walk to the Louvre and many fun store in the St Germain district. Desk staff were always friendly and helped with whatever they could. The bar had a very professional bar tender and some delicious hot food options.

Hotel Pont Royal is just great. I stay here every year when i go to Paris. The location is wonderful, a couple of blocks from the Louvre and the Musee D'orsay. The rooms are a really good size and very clean (I THOUROUGHLY EXAMINED the mattress, under the mattress and all of the pillows and it was all immaculate). I should also mention that the service is great from the front desk, the Concierge -Alan- was SO HELPFUL in so many ways and the cleaning services were also good as well as the bartenders in the hotel bar--just wonderful. The ONE thing I would say is that the cleaners were not refilling the sugars used (i travel with my own tea bags) so I had to pilfer sugar from the lobby coffee cart ????... but this is a minor issue. Everything else was great. yeah, it is a bit of an older hotel, but if it were freshly renovated it would easily be double the cost per night. I'm good with the way it is. Thank you to ALL of the STAFF of Hotel Pont Royal! I had a wonderful stay with you and will see you all again next year! ❤️❤️
