The rooms are clean but tiny. The location is fabulous. There’s no lounge to gather but there are chairs at the reception area.

Great location close to main sites (Notre Dame, Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Jardin du Luxembourg, Grand Palais, Petit Palais, Panthéon) and nice places to eat (Polidor), nice helpful staff and lovely upgrade to rooms. We stay every time we visit Paris and would recommend.

Excellent hotel in a great location. |This hotel is small but functional. Staff are helpful and rooms are clean . |Couldn’t be in a better location with Luxembourg Gardens RER/Metro a five minute walk away which is great for airport transfers|Didn’t have breakfast in the hotel as there are lots of nearby cafes . |Easy walk to Notre Dame , The Pantheon and a short hop on the metro to the Louvre and the Champs Elysées

I spent three days in Paris as a short break from visiting Rellies in the UK. I planned to be on the go a lot and so wanted a quiet, clean, safe hotel in a convenient location. After doing extensive online research, I settled on the HMO. The location is great -- near the Jardin des Luxembourg, the metro station, and 10-12 minute walk from Place St Michele / Notre Dame. Clean, and most importantly for me, quiet. Room 37 had a double bed but was small -- it would be difficult for 2 people with a suitcase each. Small, clean, modern bathroom. Elevator. I didn't try the brekfast. Front desk staff were kind, polite, and helpful. Hotels in Paris -- unless you're going for 5 star -- are mostly smallish and pricey. All things considered, I felt HMO was good value and contributed to the success of my trip. Merci bien!

Nice hotel in a good area. Rooms are small but clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was provided at a charge which was a little disappointing as it was continental. Would have been nice to have at least a cup of coffee. Would recommend as a comfortable and nice stay.

I love this hotel. It is the only place I have ever stayed in Paris. Perhaps because we stayed here way back in 1985 on our first trip to Paris when we were young. That may be why I love it so much. We stayed at the top back then and stayed up on the top floor again this last time. It has long been remodeled since way back when. We love the location and our little restaurant is just down the street. It has a super location near the Luxembourg Gardens, metro station and many shops, restaurants and my chocolate mousse store. We love the staff here, they have always been kind to us. We never eat breakfast at any hotel and we have never had it here. We prefer to go out, if we eat at all for breakfast. Our room was quite large and in excellent condition. I plan on staying here next time too…I will always stay here.

We loved so many things about this hotel. The location is fantastic! Rooms are very clean and updated. Beds are very comfortable, wonderful linens, and showers are hot and have great water pressure. I see other reviewers mentioning rude staff, but we had uniformly good experiences with the various staff members.

We were, however, disappointed with our room. We booked one of two two-room family suites. The photos of the family suite on the internet are obviously of the other unit (54). Our unit (55) was significantly smaller. It appears to have been a one-bedroom suite that was turned into a two-bedroom family room by constructing a teensy closet in one corner of the living room. The room with two twins was Paris-small but tolerable, but the room with the queen bed was so small that it was almost claustrophobic. I stuck my foot out from under the covers and smacked it into the closet wall, about 6 inches away. The head of the bed was just a couple of feet from the door, which opened right into the elevator lobby and then the main lobby. It was so loud that we were forced to sleep with ear plugs in. The office was in the room immediately next door, and the staff didn't appear to make any attempt to be quiet in the morning when we were still trying to sleep. The only furniture in the room besides the bed and tiny nightstands was the smallest of desks with a tiny chair. Nothing else could fit in the room. There wasn't anywhere to put a suitcase.

Anyway, we were a little bitter that we got tricked by the photos for the other (larger) family apartment. The diagram in the photo shows the two family apartments. The L shaped part of 55 is a hallway and the bathroom, FYI. We got a peek in the other family apartment and it made us sad. We would consider staying again, but definitely not in room 55, and not next to the office.

Breakfast was excellent quality, but selection was limited. I'm not sure it's worth what they ask.

Also -- highly suggest upgrading the vent in the bathroom. The corners of the room are showing mildew. It was really hard to get it dry in there.

Love love love this hotel! Old world charm right in the middle of freaking Paris! Literally around the corner from Luxembourg Gardens. Charming, you can feel the history in this district. I was on the top floor and I left the window open all the time. Looking at the rooftops over Paris was magical. It truly is magical. It's fall. The cool air is amazing. I could have lived in this one little room. Forever.

We love the St Germain area & have stayed in the area several times. Such a great location & this hotel is no different. Close to trains, restaurants, tourist sites etc. you can’t go wrong. Lovely staff and nice rooms. We stayed in the two bedroom (1 x bathroom) room 54 which we did find a bit noisy at times on the ground floor as it’s outside the lift and next to the staff office. We stayed two nights though in a family room & thought it was great. Would consider staying here again.

Seemed to be mixed reviews however our experience was excellent travelling with kids and booking the family room. The room was quite spacious and two separate rooms, plenty of storage space for a hotel hence was easy to get organized and maintain. Extremely comfortable stay while we were there.||Reception was very helpful, we don't speak a lot of French - however if you make an effort in greeting in French and politely asking if we can speak English they were really accommodating.||A great location in the city, the Luxembourg gardens are literally 5mins away and metro/rail links to everywhere you need. We didn't opt for the breakfast as there were a lot of local cafes and options around the hotel (great to grab something and have in the Luxembourg Gardens each morning).

We were somewhat disappointed with our overall experience - they gave us a room right across the hotel washroom, and over the lobby (quite noisy at night). The lobby is small and plain and the breakfast is not worth it. On the positive the hotel is well located and the rooms are small but spacious for France. The lobby staff are friendly.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in September 2024 (AUD $478/ night, excluding city tax)|The hotel room is spotless, bright and super clean. The location is top notch, easy to walk to most attractions. There’re many cool restaurants and cafes around. 24h/7 reception. We highly recommend and will definitely come back!

very bad rooms and bad attitude at the reception. they force you to leave the key whenever you are leaving the room for “security purposes”. at 7 in the morning the housekeeper started to make a lot of noise so we could not rest as we wished. the price of the room can ONLY be justified by the location, but nothing more.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
Tried to charge us more up front until we showed him the price we booked. He still wanted more money but we refused!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! Bed broke when sat on it. Rooms are tiny, if you are travelling with kids they will give you cots that collapse with wood bottom and no blankets.had to demand mattress and was told blankets only for adults had to take blankets off another room with no help. When the concierge didn’t know how to put up cots he left us to figure it out, then was told not his problem. Breakfast room is in the reception lobby. Breakfast is expensive and not worth it. No fridge in rooms shower is tiny and bathroom can fit only 1 person at a time The floors in the rooms are also uneven and on tilted slants. We had 3 rooms and they were all the same. We would never stay here again.
TERRIBLE HÔTEL!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!
PHOTOS DO NOT LOOK LIKE THE ROOMS!!!!

I would absolutely avoid this hotel at all costs. Yes the location is good, a lot of restaurants are at a walking distance and the rooms are renovated, but that's about it. Small rooms are a given in Paris, but these feel suffocating and the (probably difficult to clean) carpet does not help the case. The bed is super short and mattress is uneven. The entire building is incredibly loud (I could literally hear my neighbours breathing, let alone snoring) and very cramped. And last but not least, I've never encountered such an inhospitable "Head of Reception". I left the hotel after one night because I felt so uncomfortable on many levels. Obviously it's not the most expensive hotel in Paris, but it's nowhere near worth the price they still dare to charge you.

Nice clean and quiet room. Hotel staff could have been more helpful and friendly. You have to leave your key with reception when you leave, which I am not a fan of. The location is good, but a good 20 minute walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame etc.

The location of this hotel is close to a lot of food and a park, however the main attractions such as the Eiffel Tower are a long walk away. The room itself was very small for 2 people, however it was comfortable and clean. We paid €24 (€12/per person) for breakfast accommodations, I don’t recommend this as breakfast was a few choices of breakfast pastries, access to the coffee machine, juices and some prunes/mixed fruit from what looked like a can. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors talking in their rooms, people walking/talking in the hallway, and the elevator. The guest in this place were very courteous though as this was not a problem when we were going to bed. They did arrange for a taxi pick up to take us to the airport upon check-in which was lovely to have everything setup prior to leaving. Check in and out was seamless and the staff were very friendly.
