Glass door to the bathroom, partially obscured by heavy curtains, is a hazard. Easy to walk into without noticing.

This is a small boutique hotel with a big heart! |I was at first worried when I saw the lobby and the small front desk and elevator. But the room was big, the bathroom was spacious and clean and the bed and pillows were excellent. And their service was outstanding. |Sunastha (I hope I got his name right) took care of us during breakfast. He recommended restaurants and even offered to prepare some croissants for us to bring to an early day trip. |The receptionist during our check out warned us to pay the taxi driver only based on the meter. Should the driver cheat us, he suggested we email the hotel and they will reimburse us. |I have stayed in many hotels and I must say this is one of the best. ||The location was perfect! Close to shopping and restaurants and even walking distance to Montparnasse station for train transfers.||I was able to talk to some guests too and they said this is their go-to hotel in Paris. ||Merci beaucoup, Hotel Le Placide! |See you next time.

We had a nice stay at this hotel beginning of March. The location to Le Bon Marché and metro station are great. The metro station gives easy access to the main tourist sites. There’s HANDO handroll sushi restaurant and La Barra wine bar around the corner which I would highly recommend visiting. Our hotel room was spacious (junior suite) and clean. The bathroom was also spacious but there was not enough space to hang towels. The biggest let down was the breakfast. The set up is a bit strange and feels very cramped. There’s eggs available (fried, scrambled) but we read that in another review, our server never mentioned them to us. We asked for the eggs but I think our server was a bit annoyed at us for asking. I think the 22e/person is an excessive price for breakfast. There’s 2 rooms per floor and we heard our neighbors talking loudly (walls are thin). There’s some street noise (ambulance wailing etc) but it didn’t bother us much. We stayed for 6 nights. The concierge was always friendly.

We just completed a three night stay and the hotel and staff were lovely. Our room was on the top floor with a little balcony overlooking the street. The staff members were all so friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and a great way to start days of walking and sightseeing. The location was excellent to access the metro and nearby cafes. I would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Adorable boutique hotel. The room is small, but enough space. The balcony with the bistro table and chairs is perfect for coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon. The neighborhood is quite and located close to a metro station. The staff is incredible! Very accommodating and friendly!

Open letter to the owner/manager at
Hôtel le Placide.

Front of house/Front desk: the staff at hotel La Placide exceeded expectations. Thank you Benjamin and Christophe for providing outstanding customer service. I came to Hôtel la Placide with a basic understanding of French, and the staff were gracious enough to understand so communication wasn’t an issue. Benjamin provided exceptional service by helping us navigate the city, recommended routes during the O games and provided helpful tips about the neighborhood/city/restaurants. He went out of his way to try and find us Olympic game tickets even while the site remained buggy and hard to use/obtain.

Back of house (cleaning staff): rooms were turned over daily. Fresh towels, toiletries and sheets were never in need. The staff were quick, precise, professional and provided quality service.

If you’ve heard of the expression: “you get what you pay for” at Hôtel la Placide you’ll be happily surprised to receive a quantity of service that exceeds what you pay.

The absolute best place to stay in Paris! The location is great, quiet neighborhood, close to the metro and lots of cafes nearby. The room was clean & so cute with a balcony equipped with a bistro table & chairs for breakfast in the morning or wine in the evening. The staff were excellent! Very friendly & helpful. They truly made us feel welcome. We stayed during the Olympics so when we checked in, we had a note, chocolates and a special Olympic Gymnastics collectible coin on the bed. I will definitely stay here again during my next visit!

Stayed 4 nights in Hotel Le Placide, It is situated in a great location, offering clean and comfortable rooms, I mean spotless clean. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist. You can have a delicious breakfast during your stay, featuring freshly squeezed juice, a variety of cheeses, fruits and ask for their special coffee ☕️ BTW. thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would gladly choose Hotel Le Placide again for our next stay.
