Great location. Lovely French decor. Went out for breakfast as we preferred being outdoors to the basement dining room in hotel. Would love a drawer or two. The glass tables were lovely but provided no storage. But it’s all about location and service. Thank you Stephanie!

We stayed in this hotel many years ago and decided to use it as our base for a few days in Paris. It is ideally placed for visits to Notre Dame, walks along the Seine and the Luxembourg Gardens. There is a huge choice of eating places within walking distance. Transport links both Metro and bus are on the doorstep. All the staff are vey pleasant and helpful and the rooms immaculately clean and spacious. Excellent!

Booked here last minute after a not so good hotel night at another hotel. ||Was met with a really nice staff who was really sweet and upgraded us since we hadn’t been informed of ongoing construction work. (Which we barely heard anything of) ||The room was really nice and the bed was good as well and The bathroom was spacious enough. The bathroom tho had a lightbulb that was just hanging there. ||Considering the size of the hotel the breakfast was really good and considering the space they had to work with they did good. ||The area around the hotel was not full of tourists and a really quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Good restaurants and bars close by and notre dame just a short 12 minute walk from the hotel. ||||All in all a really nice and comfortable stay!

We stay at hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauge twice in April and found the hotel very reasonable for the price. It's a lovely hotel in a perfect location. Walking distance to most of the sights seeing museums like the Pantheon few minutes walk to Nortra dame In Saint germain area with lots of great restaurants one of which we've eaten almost every day at Saigon D' Antan vietnamese restaurants across from the hotel. Rooms were decent size and very safe family areas. Five minutes from Luxemburg park which we walk by every day. We plan to visit again and will definitely seek to stay here again if available. We love Paris which has so much to offer and people are very nice as we feel right at home. We'll be back for sure.

My daughter and I were making a long awaited trip to Paris. We initially booked an airbnb for our stay. That did not work out so we found ourselves looking for a hotel at the last minute. From the moment we walked into the Hotel St. Paul, we knew we were in for a special experience. Stephanie was at the front desk in the beautiful lobby and she was so gracious and kind. She offered us a beautifully appointed room that fit our needs perfectly. Filled with charm including beams on the ceiling the room had a double bed, a closet, a mini refrigerator and a tv. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The hotel is located within walking distance or a short train ride to all of the major Paris attractions. The neighborhood is very safe with amenities close by. I highly recommend!

My daughter and I had the loveliest time at Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauche. The front desk staff greeted me by name at check in. Our room was comfortable and spotless. Stephanie gave us a great suggestion to visit the Cluny Middle Ages Museum. I had the delicious buffet breakfast one morning and was very grateful that it was available. The location is ideal in short walking distance to the Luxembourg RER and Odeon Metro stations. We loved the neighborhood; it seemed full of young French people (Sorbonne students?) and few tourists. I would gladly stay here again as the experience was perfect in every way!

I am posting an update to respond to the false accusations made by Valerie Benigno of Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauche regarding construction at the hotel. The original review, and photos of Valerie's response are attached as photos.||||1) Valerie stated that I was notified by the hotel multiple times that there was construction going on, and that I had the opportunity to cancel.||||My response: During my multiple email communications to book the hotel, the construction was never mentioned. Also, Valerie kept on changing her story. She stated that the Hotel notified Travelzoo that the construction which was originally scheduled in the summer was moved up, and that it was Travelzoo's obligation to notify customers. Travelzoo states they never received any notification from Hotel Saint Paul Rive Gauche and would not send customers to this kind of situation.||||2) I had booked multiple vouchers, and Valerie falsely accused me of lying/manipulating things just to receive a refund.||||I did initially go for one night by myself (on a Friday night, checking out on Saturday. During that initial stay, I was already displeased by the construction outside the window. However, there was no construction noise on Saturday morning, so I just let it go even though it was tolerable but not ideal to have construction. After a 1 day conference at another location in Paris, I returned for my 2 day stay there. There was loud construction noise on both Monday and Tuesday mornings, waking us up at 8:21a.m. Again the hotel denies this and saying hammering only started at 9a.m., but we have time-stamped videos showing construction noise at 8:21a.m. We could not sleep and subsequently got sick from the lack of rest. We then cancelled the remaining 2 nights and found another hotel in Paris.||||As a Travelzoo customer for more than 14 years, I have booked more than 50+ hotels/experiences, and this is the worst one. Valerie is dishonest and accuses me of manipulating things to get a refund.||||Most Travelzoo merchants have provided a great experience. I do not appreciate false accusations and dishonesty like Valerie has demonstrated. I have notified Travelzoo of this dishonest and unethical behavior and hope they will stop doing business with this hotel.||||Valerie states they provide great value. Not true. Many other better hotels. Don't stay at this hotel.||||---------------------------------------------------||Original review: March 12, 2025||||Lots of construction going on, and was woken up by nonstop, banging and hammering that shook the room||The construction noise and smoking from workers outside the room, made it very difficult to get rest.||||There was extension scaffolding, and there were construction workers, buckets, paint materials, as well as nails outside our room at about 8:21am, there was loud hammering and banging outside our window. This woke both of us up and this banging and hammering continued until 10:30 AM when we left the room. It happened on weekdays. And we could not get the rest. When we opened the window to get some fresh air, there was a worker right outside our window smoking, and our room was now filled with smoke.||||We booked the hotel via Travelzoo, which generally selects good quality hotels. The construction was not mentioned by Travelzoo, or on the hotel website. We only found out when we arrived. We have canceled the rest of our stay at this hotel because we could not sleep there properly and are exhausted.||||Having traveled extensively to many countries and stayed in many hotels this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a hotel.||||Attaching photos of the view outside our room.

We thought this quaint boutique hotel was ideally located since it was within walking distance to train stations, Luxembourg Garden, Notre Dame and plenty of shops and restaurants. There was scaffolding around the building (we missed the hotel entrance twice cause of it), but never noticed any construction activity or noise. The staff was warm, pleasant and helpful. The room itself was clean and comfortable. If I had to nitpick, it would be the height of the bathtub. Higher than what I’m accustomed to, I assume it’s a European thing, since our London hotel room also had a high tub. Regardless, we were very pleased with our stay.

This is a very nice 4-star hotel located in between the 5th and 6th arrondissements. This location is in easy walking distance to many restaurants, the Pantheon, Jardin du Luxembourg, Notre Dame, and many other places of interest.
The rooms are very nice and quite comfortable. Even though the rooms face the street, the windows provide great insulation from any street noise.
Ana, Stephanie, and Valerie at the front desk are all incredible and very helpful.
On the days we chose to have breakfast in the hotel, we found it to be plentiful and very fresh. Croissants, pain au chocolat, bread, meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, cereals, coffee, juices, and more.
We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I knew we were in for an extraordinary experience. The atmosphere was one of refined elegance, with the staff's warmth and genuine hospitality made me feel instantly at ease. The check-in process was seamless, our room was nothing short of breathtaking. The attention to detail was remarkable, from the high-quality linens to the thoughtfully curated minibar. What truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service. The front desk staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, providing excellent recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. The housekeeping staff were discreet and efficient, ensuring my room was always pristine. And the dining experiences were simply divine.

Standardzimmer: Komfort & Charme in Perfektion

Ausstattung: Alles, was man braucht

Charming hotel, a little funky. Old but updated. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Had all the elements we need when traveling: hot, strong shower; comfortable bed and pillows; modern, updated bathroom; cleanliness; access to US news.

This hotel is a classic quiet hotel in the heart of the latin quarter near the Sorbonne. I used the local Metro to get around Paris on business and it is perfectly located. I love the breakfast room based in an old cellar. The rooms are nicely decorated with restrained taste .I spotted a few French politicians who apparently stay regularly.

Had a nice stay here. Cozy hotel. Location is great. Polite staff. During our last night, there was a lot of noise coming from the bar downstairs and that is the only negative I can think of. I’d stay here again.

Such a delightful boutique hotel! My fiance and I stayed here for a couple of nights recently and we couldn't be happier with the whole experience. It's not a huge chain hotel, so it never feels crowded in communal spaces and you get personal attention from the moment you check-in to the moment you check-out. I want to say a sincere thanks to the whole team - from reception, to the night porter, to the brasserie server - everyone is friendly and warm and you can tell they enjoy working at the hotel. Very good vibes all around. Our superior room had high ceilings and plenty of space, was super clean - the maid service clearly do a great job. Breakfast was also nice. Such a perfect stay in this wonderful central location, we hope to one day be back again!
