This little hotel is in an absolutely perfect location in St. Germaine. Very close walk to the Louvre and many other Paris attractions. Great little neighborhood with plenty of cafes and bakeries for breakfast lunch and dinner. We arrived very early and the hotel was able to arrange a massage for my wife and me on short notice along with the steam room and pool. The staff was wonderfully as well.

After this review I am not going with ny boutique 5 start hotels.Stick to Marriot/ Hiltons of world. The hotel had cobwebs in room and dust on paintings. The bar is but the recpetion area; overhyperd adn to be avoid . When I asked for room chnge; I was told all rooms have dust on paintings.

Atmospheric/historic property and well furnished rooms (if slightly on the small side for the Mignon), in a wonderful location with lovely staff. Also very comfortable beds and nice bathrooms.

This was my second time staying at l'hotel, this time for 4 nights, and it never ceases to surpass my expectations. As tourists from America, the front desk staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time there. From helping us book ballet tickets & arrange transportation to the airport, providing euros to be charged to our room to avoid ATM fees, and went as far as to take care of mailing our souvenirs back home through the French post. This is a BOUTIQUE small hotel and it shows through the attention and care we received daily as guests all the way down to remembering our names. The staff pays attention to every single detail and cares about your experience.

For this stay we decided to do the breakfast package and I am SO glad we did. It was so beautiful to start the day in their eating area and the food... WOW they have totally stepped up the game for their breakfast items from the last time I came... It was delectable and luxurious. One morning we chose to have breakfast in bed which was free with the package and that was such a treat.

The location has to be my favorite part about this place. The area feels so luxurious, safe, and quiet compared to other areas we visited. With beautiful art galleries adorning the streets that give you plenty beautiful things to look at on walks. Close proximity to the seine, the Louvre, Notre dam, and Luxembourg gardens were all highlights that we walked to from the hotel. There are also so many amazing restaurants and bars within walking distance.

L'Hotel was the perfect romantic choice for my husband and I's 5 year anniversary.

Absolutely stunning. Elegant and perfect. |While this was an excellent stay, I'm hoping L'Hôtel will not be "discovered." I want it all for myself. So please, stay away (just joking).||The staff is wonderful, from housekeeping to the front desk. Gail, especially, was professional and stellar. Thank you.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at L'hotel from start to finish! The moment you enter this hotel you are magically transformed into the world of elegance and beauty.
Our Deluxe Room was fantastic. The hotel is located on a quiet street. The area is our favourite to stay in Paris with numerous galleries, lovely boutiques and traditional bistros around. The Deux Maggots and Serge Ginsborough house museum are minutes away.
Special thanks to Florian for being so helpful and advising us on great places to go for a dinner.

Everything about this place is divine. The perfect hotel. If it was good enough for Wilde and Bourdain then it’s good enough for you. Quiet, attentive, with the elegance of a time long gone by. If you want modern then it’s not the place for you but it has soul and I loved every second I spent there. Can’t wait to come back.

This is truly a unique property and could easily be the setting for a horror movie. That is not said in a bad way. The place is dark, elaborate and rather Victorian in its style. It is a great location if you want to stay on that side of the Seine. I would have rated it slightly higher but for the fact that the only room we could get was the smallest room as our stay was during fashion week. The room was tiny and even difficult to move around in. We were not particularly impressed with the vintage plumbing and the fact that we had to unplug a light to have an outlet available to charge electronics.|It is billed as a 5 star hotel. We stayed in an actual 5 star during the first part of our stay in Paris and this hotel was not close.

If you like a quaint hotel with good service and a nice staff, this hotel meets the criteria. However, running sinks, noise from adjacent rooms, noise from hallways, adjacent rooms, in dire need of a facelift and horrible beds bother you then choose another hotel. In my opinion this is certainly NOT a 5 star hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for 9 nights. I’ll start with the positive.

The concierge and front desk staff were great. Very friendly and helpful. The only exception to this was the overnight front desk person was sleeping at the front desk when we went down early one morning.

The ambience of the hotel lobby is cool. It gives a very comfortable feeling and vibe. It’s a good location, central to St Germain des Pres and close to the metro and some classic cafes and restaurants.

One evening, we wanted to get a couple of the cocktails in their lounge. They looked so tasty on the menu. When we ordered, the server told us he can only pour us (overpriced) wine because the bartender left for a while. Odd.

The room we got - room 50 (Grand) was a good size. The problem is that the space is used so poorly. There are literally no drawers for us to unpack our clothes, so we had to live out of our suitcases for 10 days. The carpets are in very poor shape and are fraying at the edges. There is a thermostat on the wall, but they have it set so you can’t adjust the temperature in the room. In order to get it cool enough to sleep, you need to open the windows. But there is a loud bar next door, so you can’t sleep with the windows open.

Because of the strange upkeep of the room, we decided not to even bother going to the hammam because we assumed the upkeep would be similar.

If you think of a five star hotel, you think of the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, etc. This hotel is not close to a five star hotel. At best, it’s a three star hotel. I would not choose this hotel again.
