recently stayed at this lovely hotel and was truly impressed. The rooms have a real feel of luxury stylish, comfortable, and a pleasure to relax in. I also loved the attention to details such as the Dyson hairdryer and the mini bar design. The spa may be small, but it's spotless, peaceful, and a perfect little escape from the outside world. What really stood out to me was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their warmth made my stay extra special. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and refined getaway.

A relatively new hotel of seven stories located on the crowded Rue de Bucci. It is well located and well appointed and friendly. The breakfast included with the room is excellent. The hotel is a bit pricey for the left bank, but it’s consistent with new hotels. It is a lot cheaper than the Bristol another top hotels on the right bank.

The ac doesn’t work well and there is barely any fresh air coming out of the vent and the room doesn’t go below 19 degrees. Horrible when it’s a warm day in Paris. The isolation is bad and you hear everything and everyone from your room talking in the hallway. The curtains are badly designed and the room is extremely bright as well Would not recommend if you want a good night slept. However the staff is lovely.

I just returned home from a 6-night stay at Villa des Pres on a mother/daughter Paris trip.
The hotel is thoughtfully and stylishly designed and spotlessly clean. Every member of the hotel staff was so kind and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay.
Special thanks to concierge Damien for the many wonderful restaurant recommendations and Bruno for helping us plan a special itinerary for one of our free days.
I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking to stay in St Germain des Pres!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen the right hotel. The staff are incredible. So friendly and helpful. Attentive to our every need and provided excellent recommendations. ||The hotel itself was perfectly located in the Latin quarter - surrounded by cafes and bakeries. Total French immersion. ||Our room was amazing as was the rest of the rest of the hotel. We didn’t visit the spa, but it looked awesome. ||We have found a new favorite place to stay in Paris and look forward to our next visit!

My husband and I had a very lovely stay at this new hotel. First of all every member of the staff was very gracious and helpful. They treat you like kings and queens here. The room was impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable. Every night they turn down the bed and leave chocolates for you. They provide nice touches like bathrobes and slippers. They provide a coffee bar and lots of other drinks and snacks inside the room. The towels were luxuriously plush. The room has a spacious closet. Overall the room is kind of small but that is probably the case at most hotels in Paris. The location is great-convenient to walk to many of Paris's most famous sites and to many great shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again! Fantastic job!

It’s astonishing how the staff at Villa des Prés, a so-called five-star hotel, can work together to deceive and mistreat guests while still maintaining this rating.||||When checking in, we clearly informed the concierge that we needed a warmer room, preferably set at 28°C, as we had been outside in 3°C Paris weather for quite a while. They assured us this would not be a problem. Yet upon arrival, we discovered that our AC was not working—there was no air coming out.||||We immediately contacted the concierge, and they told us to wait 20 minutes because the AC needed time to “warm up.” We waited—nothing changed. When we called housekeeping, they lied to our faces, insisting that the AC was working—just “not that obvious.”||||After suffering in the cold room, a staff member finally admitted that the AC was not working. We asked for another room, and the front desk immediately lied again, claiming there were no available rooms—even though their own website showed that suites were still available. When confronted, they suddenly changed their story, saying we could switch rooms, but only if we paid extra. When we refused, they showed us a filthy, unacceptable room, saying it was the “only option”—a blatant attempt to pressure us into upgrading.||||At this point, it was obvious we were being deceived and manipulated. With no other choice—it was already 9 PM, and we were exhausted from a long flight—we had to accept their only “solution”: a small heater that dried out the air and made the room unbearably uncomfortable. The next morning, I woke up with a bloody nose and a painfully cracked throat.||||⸻||||Management’s Gaslighting & Racially Insensitive Attitude||||The worst part? When we tried to escalate the issue, the staff actively blocked us from speaking to management and refused to give us their names. They clearly hoped we would just give up and accept their mistreatment, all while insisting their actions were legitimate.||||After a long argument, we finally spoke with the manager, Camille, who gave us a completely contradictory and nonsensical explanation:|| • First, she claimed that French ACs do not provide heating, and only a heater can warm the room. (Yet multiple staff members had previously told us the AC was “warming up” and working fine! Also, when we later stayed at a four-star hotel, we found this to be an outright lie.)|| • Then, she presented room temperature monitoring data, claiming that the heater was effective. But when we pointed out that we were asking about AC, not a heater, she changed her story again, now claiming that the monitor only measures AC temperature and cannot detect the heater’s warmth—even though a staff member had already confirmed that the AC was not working.|| • When my mother—exhausted from a 7-hour flight and freezing Paris weather—tried to explain our frustration and simply asked for a working AC, Camille accused her of “making a scene.” Not once did she acknowledge that we were only upset because her staff had repeatedly lied to us and refused to provide a real solution.||||And then, the most condescending and offensive part: Camille had the audacity to say that she had lived in Hong Kong before and knew “how people like me like” things, but that France was “just more environmentally friendly” and “things don’t work like that here.”||||What exactly was she implying? That Asians are being “not eco-friendly”?That because we’re in France, being cold is the basic norm and what we are asking for is unacceptable?||||This was not only dismissive but outright arrogant. ||||⸻||||After speaking with our travel agency, we discovered that Villa des Prés has a history of issues with Asian guests over air conditioning problems.||||This seems to be not an isolated incident. They deceive, mistreat, and manipulate non-French-speaking guests, assuming we won’t fight back.||||⸻||||Yes, this hotel offers a spa and Diptyque products, but true five-star service is about comfort and respect—not just luxury branding.||||I strongly advise travelers who don’t speak French to avoid this hotel, as they will treat you like you are a five-year-old and fool you around.||||Paris has many wonderful hotels. Don’t waste your money on this one. ????????????

The next morning, I woke up with a bloody nose and a painfully cracked throat.
The worst part? When we tried to escalate the issue, the staff got super defensive and blocked us from speaking to management. They hoped we would just give up and accept their mistreatment, while insisting their actions were legitimate.
After a long argument, we finally spoke with the manager, Camille, who gave us a completely contradictory and nonsensical explanation:
• First, she claimed that French ACs do not provide heating, and only a heater can warm the room. (Yet multiple staff members had previously told us the AC was “warming up” and working fine! Also, when we later stayed at a four-star hotel, we found this to be an outright lie.)

And then, the most condescending and offensive part: Camille had the audacity to say that she had lived in Hong Kong before and knew “how people like me like” things, but that France was “just more environmentally friendly” and “things don’t work like that here.”
What exactly was she implying? That Asian guests are being not eco-friendly for expecting basic warmth and comfort in a freezing Paris winter? That lying to customers is somehow part of “sustainability” in France? That because we’re in France, we should just accept being cold and deceived?
This was not only dismissive but outright arrogant. After speaking with our travel agency, we discovered that Villa des Prés has a history of issues with Asian guests over air conditioning problems.
This is not an isolated incident—it is a pattern. They knowingly deceive, mistreat, and manipulate non-French-speaking guests, assuming we won’t fight back.
This experience has completely ruined our trip, but more importantly, it has raised serious concerns about how this hotel treats non-French guests.
I strongly advice travelers who don’t speak French to avoid this hotel. Yes this hotel offer SPA and Diptyque, but it’s not providing comfort and respect.

This has truly been the perfect stay, location of the hotel is just perfect, in the same street as the hotel you can find a lot of restaurants and cafes, offering french, japanese, italian and many other cuisines, the street is full of people enjoying food and drinks, hanging out, shopping, and yet the rooms of the hotel are perfectly soundproof, you basically can’t hear a thing from the room. The rooms were perfectly clean, the cleaning service cleans the room once in the morning, and then in the afternoon they prepare the room for sleeping while you are having dinner, the service was fantastic. The hotel spa was also perfectly clean, we used the sauna and the pool, you can enjoy some tea afterwards, I usually don’t like hotel pools, this is probably the first one I enjoyed and went for a swim every afternoon. The decor of the hotel is very elegant, very stylish, very new, there are a lot of books everywhere, we went through all of them, there are a lot of interesting books about architecture and design. The fragrance of the hotel is also very elegant, the bedding and the towels are high quality, the Illy coffee in the rooms and the Dyson airdryer are an excellent touch. I probably forgot to mention something but the whole stay was just perfect and we can’t wait to be back, this will definitely be our choice of the hotel every time we are in Paris.

Amazing experience at this hotel in February of 2025. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly helpful and nice. Our room was larger than most hotel rooms in Paris. It was also very quiet despite being on the 2nd floor facing a busy pedestrian street. Saint Germain-des-Pres is a perfect neighborhood with tons of shops, cafes, and within walking distance to Notre Dame and other central sights. Highly recommend!

My husband and I were on a very quick trip to Paris as part of our 35th anniversary trip and we could not have been more delighted with the outstanding service we experienced at Villa des Pres! Every single person was so friendly and helpful, professional and kind. It seemed like there were several members of the staff for every person staying there. Our room is absolutely beautiful and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of champagne and delicious treats plus a handwritten note welcoming us to Paris. In 60 years I’ve never received a handwritten note from a hotel, and we have stayed in some beautiful resorts. We felt extremely safe walking around and found some lovely cafés and bars nearby. We felt very spoiled by our treatment at this beautiful establishment and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Paris!

Wow! This is the perfect boutique hotel on the perfect street, in our favorite arrondissement!
The staff were gracious and accommodating, the service was amazing, and the location cannot be beat. It's a charming, quiet hotel that couldn't be more perfectly located. Right out the door are bakeries, bistros, cheese shops and everywhere you look is romantic and beautiful. We were sad to leave and can't wait to return. Damien our concierge was helpful, and the front staff were always so quick to greet you and ask if you needed anything. If we could give this hotel 10 stars we would!

Une mérveille. Un hôtel tres chic et chalereux avec une qualité extraordinaire et un service exceptionel. Un décor tres chalereux au bon goût. Bravo. J'adore ????
Follow-up to the hotels response to my review: If a guest is smoking they should be kicked out. This happened over a few days and they continued to let the guest stay in the hotel even though guests were being disturbed and multiple people were complaining. Furthermore, this doesn't allow your front desk to be extremely rude and dismissive to me and my sister as well as other guests. You should train your staff to be more kind and accommodating in the luxury service space. No one should spend 900usd a night for the front desk to treat them rudely. The way you handled the situation was inadequate and I won't be staying here again.
