Très bonne cuisine dans une des adresses les plus anciennes de Paris. Mention spéciale aux vins et au permentier de canard, tous deux remarquables.

Polidor è un locale storico parigino, in uno dei quartieri più belli. Personale cortese e attento, cibo eccezionale e una location curata che ti riporta un po’ indietro nel tempo. Per una cena con amici o in coppia ( tavoli condivisi in alcuni casi ) è il ristorante che non puoi perderti nella capitale Francese

Traditional French cuisine. Service fast- too fast in that we felt rushed. The restaurant ordering software has a high pitched annoying beep each time an order is processed which occurred multiple times a minute and drove us and other diners nuts. The caramel on the crème caramel was a little too well done and so bitter but the charming waitress addressed the issue with free coffees which was very gracious. A thrill to dine here and be part of the restaurant’s history.

A éviter ! Je n'ai jamais vu un service aussi médiocre.
On était deux personnes, en entrant personne ne nous accueille, pire que ça ils nous demandent de dégager le passage très sèchement sans dire bonjour. Après 10min (je précise on était seul a attendre) le maître d'hôtel nous place en nous donnant le menu.
20 minutes plus tard, pas d'eau, personne ne nous a pris la commande et en regardant autour tous les serveurs sont sur leurs téléphones !
On a décidé de partir avant de perdre notre argent.
On a traversé la rue et on a été très bien accueilli juste en face dans un très jolie restaurant avec une très bonne cuisine.

We enjoyed the two glasses of wine we ordered. However, we were very disappointed when two different waiters refused our request for a cheese plate, stating the kitchen was closed. We noticed other tables around us, who ordered at a similar time, received cheese plates. It felt intentional and made for an unpleasant experience, especially with a dismissive 'sorry' at the end. We wondered if our lack of French influenced the service.

Le Polidor n’est pas simplement un restaurant – c’est un morceau d’histoire vivante. Dès qu’on franchit le seuil, on a l’impression de remonter le temps. L’intérieur nostalgique, les tables en bois partagées et l’atmosphère charmante, empreinte de souvenirs, rendent la visite vraiment unique.

Et la cuisine ? Authentiquement française, simple et sincère, sans fioritures inutiles. J’ai goûté le bœuf bourguignon – tendre, parfumé, parfaitement assaisonné. Les desserts, notamment le crème caramel, étaient tout simplement délicieux.

Le service était aimable, discret et d’une agréable simplicité – parfaitement en accord avec ce lieu chargé d’histoire. Ce qui m’a particulièrement touché : on sent encore ici l’esprit des vieux écrivains qui fréquentaient autrefois l’endroit.

Si vous souhaitez découvrir le vrai Paris – avec son cœur, son histoire et son âme – le Polidor est une adresse incontournable. Une expérience inoubliable !

The place looks nice, but service is disrespectful and unsanitary. We walked away.

We went as a walk-in to the restaurant arriving early at 18:30, to find out by a very rude older lady that it opens at 19:00, a younger waiter that speaks English inform us that if we return at 19:00 they will seat us at a table on the big salon. So we walked around the neighborhood to be back exactly at 18:57hrs. The older lady complains loudly (in french) again about us to a waiter, and sends us to waiting spot. Then waiter shows up and inform us that there will not have tables at 19:00, nor 20:00. That whoever gave us the 19:00 hour time was wrong.

I don't care if the place is where Churchill ate, or if the parliament has bachelor parties on the dinning room.. If the owner is recycling wine at the bar? The kitchen is no better.

We stood up, and never coming back.

Delicious dinner on our first night in Paris. Excellent escargots and the bœuf bourginon was tender and filling. My partner similarly enjoyed the French onion soup. Highly recommend for a well-priced, authentic French meal.

Honestly I would not recommend this place. It came highly recommended by a colleague but our experience was less than stellar. This was our last dinner in Paris and it was disappointing. The service was minimal and not the friendliest which is an exception to what we’ve been experiencing in Paris. Also, we ordered the Steak Frites and they only had butter knives?!?! The steak was not easily cut with it either!! Also I had a weird experience where one of the bar backs yelled at me to move so he could get two bottles of wine. He moved me and our table without even saying excuse me. I’m very tolerant but this was crazy! Before we even had ordered or had drinks. The food was okay and the price was reasonable which is probably why it is so popular. I could go on but I won’t. We will not return here again or recommend it to anyone.

Nous avions réservé une table pour deux bien à l'avance. Cependant, nous étions assis à une table pour six, qui était pleine. Il y avait deux groupes distincts assis à la même table que nous. Les deux parties étaient clairement en détresse. Si vous réservez une table, cela ne devrait vraiment pas arriver dans un restaurant, surtout à Paris. Il n’est pas de bon ton d’asseoir les clients qui ont réservé une table à une table complète.

Superbe expérience

Bonne expérience pour moi, je n'en dirais pas autant des "pauvres " touristes asiatiques présents ce jour-là : accueil minimal, très mal placées, service pas chaleureux, j'étais très mal à l'aise pour elles.

Authentic french Restaurant.
We were there for Lunch, so the amount of people was ok.
Every other chair was used - so the space was fine.
BUT i wouldn´t recommend this for Dinner! The chairs are so packed that´s no fun.
The Boeuf Bourguignon was delicous, the steak was chewy,
the homemade pommes were excellent. The waiters were nice.

We came across Polidor as my partner and I meandered around Paris and I am glad we did. We had the bouf bourguignon and the penne with a truffle sauce and it was very yummy. We dined outside on a sunny afternoon and it was delightful.

I rarely write reviews, especially negative ones, but our recent experience at Polidor was so disappointing, especially as a pregnant guest hoping for a pleasant final night in Paris, I wanted to share it, so it’s going to be a long review.

From the moment we arrived, the service was inattentive and inconsiderate. Despite being visibly pregnant and the restaurant being far from full, we were seated outside on a chilly evening without any consideration for my condition. The staff made no effort to accommodate us inside, even though there were plenty of available tables.
It took an unreasonably long time for anyone to bring us menus—so long, in fact, that my husband eventually went inside and fetched them himself. Once we were ready to order, we had to wait yet again for someone to come to our table to take our order. Throughout our meal, it was clear that the staff were not attentive to the outside tables at all.

We ordered both starters and main courses. Our starters arrived relatively quickly, but my husband’s foie gras was a minuscule portion, served without bread and with only a few drops of jam—hardly what you’d expect, especially for the price. Bread, which is customary in French restaurants, was not provided at all.
The service was chaotic not just for us, but for other guests as well. A couple seated next to us, who arrived 30 minutes after we did, waited ages before their order was even taken. Shockingly, once they did order, their main dishes arrived almost immediately—dishes that, as we soon realized, were actually our mains. The staff served them their starters only after they had already started eating what should have been our food. This mix-up was never proactively addressed by the staff.

We sat outside growing colder, hungrier, and increasingly frustrated as we watched another table eat our food. The manager lady did eventually express surprise at the delay, but I refrained from explaining the situation in front of the other couple to avoid embarrassing them, it was not their fault.

After a long wait, and only after we had decided to leave, our main courses finally arrived lukewarm. My dish was bland and underseasoned, and by then I was so tired and cold that I just wanted to leave. The overall service to the outside tables was abysmal; we felt completely neglected throughout the meal.

This entire ordeal ruined our last night in Paris. We missed our plans to visit the Arc de Triomphe for the evening views due to the excessive delays. When it was time to pay, there was no offer of a discount for the poor service—just apologies and an offer of a complimentary dessert or drink, which we declined because we didn’t want to stay any longer. We were told the waiter responsible had been fired, as if that would make up for the experience, but the issues clearly ran deeper than a single staff member—the service overall was disorganized, inattentive and careless.
To make matters worse, I woke up the next day with a sore throat, congestion and cough, likely from having to sit outside in the cold for so long.
Polidor was overpriced, uncomfortable, and thoroughly disappointing. There are many better places in Paris that actually value their guests.

4 of us have visited Polidor on each trip to Paris and this time was also fantastic. We arrived without reservations at 7 on a Saturday and with a brief wait they accommodated us outside with a nice table. The food was fantastic and perfect after a long day walking. The waiter was very friendly. The price is always very fair and reasonable. In the last few years they have added a nice bar. We will definitely visit again. Sorry, I was so tired I forgot to take pictures!

Thank you for honoring our correctly done reservations. The host was excellent as well as the food. I can see why this is a top spot in Paris. It is also not super pricey. Thank goodness we had a recommended place that didn't bust the budget. See if you get the seat by the mirror if you are a couple.

We booked this for dinner on a recommendation and enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked the following evening.
The food is excellent authentic French bistro cuisine. Good size servings and very tasty. The service is super quick and you enjoy the benefit of sharing your table with complete strangers who quickly become friends for the evening.
Highly recommended.

About as authentically Parisian as it gets. Classic French dishes, expertly prepared, in a comfortable, vibrant vintage dining room.

Nous avions décidé de venir dîner à deux ce samedi soir, impatients de découvrir ce bistrot réputé pour son atmosphère chaleureuse et son cadre "mythique". À notre arrivée, nous avons découvert que les convives étaient installés côte à côte, sur de longues tables partagées. L'idée ne nous dérangeait pas du tout, bien au contraire nous apprécions les ambiances vivantes et conviviales.

Cependant, dès le moment de nous installer, les choses se sont compliquées. Les tables étaient extrêmement rapprochées (à peine 20 cm d’écart), rendant l'accès quasi impossible. Alors oui c’est Paris et c’est serré mais bon il ne faut pas abuser car même avec ma petite taille en mètre et en grammes je ne passais pas !

Bref en essayant de m’asseoir, j’ai poliment demandé à une cliente de me laisser passer, mais elle a refusé avec une remarque déplacée : "Les serveurs n’ont qu’à déplacer les tables".
Le serveur, de son côté, nous avait simplement dit au début “n’hésitez pas à vous imposer”, une manière peu délicate de gérer la situation…

Nous avons alors repéré quelques tables vides au loin et avons demandé poliment à une serveuse s’il était possible de s’y installer. Sa réponse, sèche : “Madame, regardez, tout est complet !”. Les tables étaient effectivement réservées, mais les clients n’étaient pas encore arrivés, et à cette heure déjà avancée du deuxième service, il était difficile de deviner qu’elles allaient encore être prises.

Nous avons donc décidé de partir, sans même avoir commandé. En nous levant, la serveuse nous dit : “Mais ça vous dérange tant que ça ?” une remarque de trop qui a confirmé notre impression d’un service hautain et peu bienveillant. L’attitude des autres clients, visiblement peu ouverts et même désagréables, n’a rien arrangé.

Ce qui a motivé notre départ, plus que l’attente ou la place, c’est avant tout l’accueil glacial.

Malgré tout la serveuse nous a finalement proposé une place au bar juste avant que nous quittions les lieux, ce qui mérite tout de même d’être souligné (et sauve l’avis d’une étoile), mais l’ambiance générale ne nous a clairement pas donné envie de rester. Nous sommes donc allés manger ailleurs, bien mieux accueillis.

Bref encore un endroit survendu par les réseaux sociaux, mais qui manque cruellement d’authenticité et qui à force de vouloir jouer les bistrots d’antan, a oublié d’y mettre l’âme.

Ottimo ristorante tipico francese. Cibo e servizio molto buono. Beef borgougne assolutamente squisito. Prezzo in linea con Parigi. Consigliato.

席が空いていたので並ばずに入れました。
映画のミッドナイトインパリで出てきたお店で、雰囲気が素敵だったので行って見たいと思っていました。
店内も外観もレトロでかわいいです。

料理もリーズナブルなのにとても美味しかったです。

J’étais vraiment ravie de pouvoir découvrir cette veille brasserie parisienne pour un déjeuner au mois de Janvier. J’ai adoré le cadre, la cuisine et l’ambiance! Je vais sûrement y revenir lors de mon prochain séjour à Paris!

Mano, praticamente ti senti a casa. Siamo stati 2 sere di fila perché siamo stati molto bene. Cibo buono, servizio buono non ci hanno fatto mancare nulla a partire dal pane e all’acqua. Consigliatissimo anche perché qualità prezzo siamo al top.
