We went there yesterday for an early dinner (ordered boef bourginion and a duck) and spent the whole night with food poisoning (puking and stomach problems). I had never experienced something like this.

We were too tired to make a complaint in person, so the review has to suffice. Never going there again.

Un bar comme on en fait plus à Paris. Ludo est un barman exceptionnel, ambiance au rendez vous, je recommande !!!

Un vendredi soir parfait, un service au top et Joan le barman est génial même s’il se trompe parfois ses cocktails sont dingues !

Bellissimo ambiente per chi non vuole un posto chic ed elegante, la definirei una birreria francese. Camerieri gentilissimi e molto disponibili. Bevande abbondanti! Consigliato!

Bar super sympa, l'accueil est top, les prix sont très raisonnables, les burgers sont excellents. Bilan : une très bonne adresse du 6eme à ne pas louper

Accueil très froid...l'impression de déranger...désagréable...j'ai mangé le Burger du jour..moyen presque froid...y aura pas de seconde fois...café très cher 5€20 le double expresso !!!?

On y trouve exactement ce que l'on attend d'une bonne brasserie le midi : service efficace et agréable, très bon plat du jour... Bref je reviendrai.

A Sunday morning mooch around the area where my hotel is and I came across the Cafe Saint-Placide. From the outside it looks like many other cafes you would find in Paris and the inside decor also looks pretty similar. But what makes this place stand out is the warm welcome from staff and great atmosphere you feel as soon as you step foot inside.
The menu (available in both French and English) is simple and unfussy. Ordering is very easy and there is no waiting. I ordered the Supreme petit dejeuner and wasn't disappointed with any of the food that came out. There was so much of it as well - it filled my table!
The staff are great - attentive but not to the point that they hound you and very friendly. The place is a mix for local Parisians as well as tourists. From the older generation reading their newspaper and having coffee to the younger families with their children enjoying a great breakfast.
Overall I'd definitely recommend this cafe to anyone in the area - whether it is just for a coffee or for food.
