It’s perfection . The only thing is that I feel it’s becoming commercial and touristy and crowd is not the same local which makes me sad but service is great and food is delicious as always

Look, it's not cheap, it's not for the uninitiated and it's as French as it gets. But please understand the food is amazing. The frogs legs are a must, the confit canard is awesome, the foie gras epic (again understand it's simple grandeur) and yes you might see me or some famous people there.

Le décor est mignon, les serveurs très sympathiques mais sinon c’est du vol… la salade verte (laitue + vinaigrette), certes très généreuse comme le reste des portions, est à 35 euros. La nourriture est basique, la transformation de l’aliment moins que minimale (grillée, flambée, rôti), il n’y a pas plus de 5 ingrédients par plat…

Très mauvais système de réservation. Le personnel était incapable de faire une simple réservation à la date demandée 18 jours à l’avance.

Top recommendation in Paris! We put our names down and went to a bar, Erev, nearby for an hour. It was lovely and easy! Will definitely go back for that Chicken and Fries!

A 100-years old restaurant, which offers simple French staples, like chicken, duck and veal kidneys. Tremendous wine list. Large portions. Very high prices. Almost impossible to make a reservation for dinner, a little easier for lunch. 3.5 stars

This restaurant is our favorite in Paris! Everything is so delicious and the atmosphere is just what a bistro should be. Food and service is exceptional. Very small & charming too, classic dishes, come hungry!

The experience felt very overpriced, with comparable quality food available elsewhere for 1/2 or even 1/3 of the cost.
The quality simply did not justify its price. The fries were overly greasy, the €120 chicken was disappointingly average, and the wine list, along with the rest of the menu, were significantly overpriced!!!

This is a paramount place, small, old, they serve large portion of classic French recepies. Must tries are roasted chicken, foie gras, escargot, baba au rhum. You are almost sure to see a French celebrity there.

Questo è un ristorantino molto vecchio e accogliente, conosciuto come la "mensa dell'uomo ricco" .
ma tieni presente che i piatti sono enormi e i prezzi non sono semplici, quindi se siete una o due persone, non lo consiglio. e più adatto a riunioni di molte persone per condividere il cibo insieme

The place is disgusting!
Number one: this restaurant is extremely tiny and uncomfortable - you literally feel people breathing down your neck. They put way too many tables into such a small space. Number two: they don’t even have a coat check. They just dump your clothes above the tables onto shelves. They treat your coat like a dirty napkin and just dump it above your head, piling up all the guests’ coats atop one another. Whether it’s a North Face or an extremely expensive Loro Piana, they disregard it and treat it with total disrespect, almost as if they want your coat to get scratched up or torn. And when someone leaves and they try to fetch a coat, they almost drop it into your food because the idiotic shelves are right above the tables!!!! And number three: the chicken was bad!!!! It was rubbery, with no flavor. Definitely nothing special. A total rip off! The prices are insane for mediocre chicken. It’s a tourist trap.

Always a true Parisian experience with the best authentic interior, great food, and charming staff and service. We have been able to enjoy this restaurant for 15 years and will continue to experience for many more years to come. D+K

If you are looking for an authentic Parisian experience at a reasonable price, this isn’t the place for you. EUR 150 per head for a lunch of chicken and chips and a glass of wine (with snails to start - EUR 50!) felt like daylight robbery. I’ve eaten much better food elsewhere for a fraction of the price. I highly recommend you consider other options before dining here

Excelente entrada de vieiras e fois gras, a carne estava deliciosa com a batata frita finissima! Tudo muito bom! Difícil de reservar lugar, mas vale a pena!

I went to Chez l'Ami Louis 2 weeks ago with my mother to celebrate her visit in Paris. We had our dinner,, we ordered fois gras, a salad and the cote de boeuf. The service was quite slow but the portions were very generous. At the end of the meal I asked for a doggie bag for the fois gras and the cote de boeuf, which they kindly gave to me.
On the taxi home I started feeling bad, I was sweating a lot and was in so much pain that when I got in front of my door I fainted trying to open it. I have spent the next 2 days at home going back and forth between bed and bathroom. My mother didn't faint but felt pretty bad too.
A few days later I went back there to tell the manager about it and guessing that the problem might have been the fois gras. He told me that it was impossible, saying that they are very careful about it, stating that they don't even allow customers to do doggy bags with it, which is not true since I got it myself.w Really bad experience and disappointing that they would rather lie to me than admit their mistake and apologise. All for 400 euros.
