Nous avons pris des plats simples (salade plateau de fromage ), les produits très qualitatifs , je recommande le poulpe et sa ratatouille délicieuse.

I genuinely hope this restaurant would just put up a sign saying they only welcome white customers. That way, both sides could avoid wasting time — I wouldn’t spend money where I’m not welcome, and they wouldn’t have to deal with people they clearly don’t want to serve.

I recently stayed in Paris for a week and visited many restaurants and this was the only place where I felt truly disrespected. I was seated at a corner table right next to the toilet, even though there were many other available seats. Meanwhile, white guests who came in after me were greeted kindly and shown to much better tables.

I requested a different seat to another staff member, and they moved me, but even then, my order wasn’t processed properly and parts of my meal were missing. I didn’t bother correcting it, I just ate what I was given and left.

Excellent service, très rapide. Nous avons pris la salade César, portion bien généreuse, ainsi que l’épaule d’agneau confite (un délice !), pas de place pour les desserts ????. Nous reviendrons.

Impeccable service with personality elevated our lunch into a trip highlight. A pleasure having the menu du jour and watching the staff perform. It’s what always has and always will separate cafe and brasseries in France from any other country in dining delite. Take the time to sit and watch the parade of locals drop in interact with the staff while the kitchen churns out unpretentious but delicious food. I just love these places. Give them all a Legion D’Honneur I say. And reward the true heroes and heroines of French culinary culture.

Nous avons attendu longtemps avant de déguster un vin horrible. J'adore le Pic Saint Loup mais alors celui du Compas, je ne sais pas où il l'achète : il est infame et cher. C'est dommage car nous en avons fait la remarque au serveur qui s'est contenté de nous ignorer. Bien dommage :-(

Typisch Frans restaurant, populair bij de Fransen. Vlotte bediening, prima eten voor een redelijke prijs. Tafeltjes zijn, zoals gebruikelijk, klein en staan dicht op elkaar. Fransen eten zoveel mogelijk buiten en het terras zit goed vol. Dit is wel mede omdat erg veel Fransen roken en dus buiten moeten zitten. Als je buiten wilt zitten moet je dus wel op de koop toe nemen dat je in sigarettenrook kunt zitten.

I visited Le Compas during my trip to Paris, and it turned out to be a solid choice for classic French cuisine. Located in the bustling Montorgueil district, the atmosphere is lively and authentically Parisian. Everything I ordered, from the starters to the main course, was well-prepared and satisfying. While the staff wasn’t particularly warm, it felt more like a cultural norm than poor service. It can be tricky to find a table, especially on rainy days when outdoor seating isn’t ideal. Still, the charm of the setting and the quality of the food make it worth the visit. Highly recommended for travelers looking to soak in Paris’s culinary spirit.

Lovely cafe. The food was excellent, but the highlight was definitely the French toast for dessert. Oh my god. This is unlike any French toast I’ve ever had in America. Must try!

The place is kinda touristy, but everything is so amazing that you’ll have to forgive the tourists for loving it. The food is fantastic. The staff are upbeat and welcoming. The décor is quaint— even the toilets are nice. The tourists themselves seem to self-select somehow: we never saw the loud, obnoxious kind. It’s just the bon vivant vibe you dream of when you think of a Parisian restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience—can’t recommend it enough!

Amazing food! Must get the steak tartare! The restaurant was super busy, so we were happy they were able to accommodate our group without a reservation. Our server was polite, but clearly unhappy lol

오리 가슴살 스테이크는 후기처럼 맛있고 부드러웠어요. 티본 스테이크는 약간 질긴부분이 있었지만 맛있었습니다..크림 파스타가 굉장히 맛있었어요..친절한 서비스도 감동이었어요.

Découvert par hasard (On avez faim )! ???? et vraiment pas déçu ! Nous avons pris deux Burgers et les cuissons étaient respectés, sans parler du steak qui était frais ! Les desserts fait maison ! Une crème brûlée à la vanille délicieuse !! Bref je vous conseil ! Service professionnel et sympathique !! Nous reviendrons à notre prochain passage à Paris !
