Especially in a hotel that charges this much, it costs so little to put a smile on someone’s face — and that’s what guests remember
Reply to the hotel respond :
This could have been a lovely response—if only you hadn’t known in advance that it was my birthday.
My mother actually emailed the hotel two weeks ahead of time, and your reply was that a cake could be arranged for €12. Now, this isn’t about the money. But when you're in Paris, home to some of the best bakeries in the world, is that really the best you could come up with?
It doesn’t take much—certainly not anything that costs money. Even a simple “Happy Birthday” message on the room TV screen on the day would have been enough. So yes, your reply feels more insulting than thoughtful.
Overall, we had a lovely stay.
Camera piccola senza armadio e molto sporca.
Buon 2025 a tutti
The elevator was the smallest I’ve ever seen. Barely room for one person and a piece of luggage. The hallways are super narrow. The smell in on of our rooms was so bad. My wife left the windows open because of the smell and it was 35 degrees outside.
They should just update the carpets and create some sort of luggage trays that drop down from the walls. Update the bathrooms with all in shower.
It was hard to get an elevator because the cleaning staff used it to move between floors. I had to wait 15 minutes to catch a ride and I needed to because I had a 50 lbs piece of luggage. The stairs are super narrow.
When we got there our rooms weren’t ready and so we left our bags whole we went out. I needed to use the restroom which was in the basement. It looked like somebody had died on that bathroom. Super Disgusting!!!! That should have been my sign to not check in.
The price is good and the location is ok. You’re near the Louver, Notre Dame, trains, etc. It’s not the cleanest area, but it will do. Good pastries sitting out. The front desk is super friendly.
We ended up moving to another hotel because we were so cramped and uncomfortable. They wouldn’t refund the 3 days we had left because they claim we booked a no-refundable room. I booked directly with the hotel, so I’ve never heard of non-refundable rates when booking direct. But it was worth losing money to get out of that place!
Don’t stay here unless you must. You’ve been warned. LOL
Le personnel est fantastique !
Très bon restaurant ! Pas trop cher pour le quartier !
PICTURES IN SITE ARE MISLEADING:
Dirty, smells bad, beds looks straight out of a hospital horror film. Carpet was filthy, bodily fluids on bathroom and floor. Run down walls, furniture, room was anxiety inducing. Cardboard pillows.
CONCIERGE WAS SO RUDE:
The concierge lady was SO rude (as though she was in a rush). My family and I have been traveling all over Europe. She mocked the quantity of bags we had.
LUGGAGE NOT ALLOWED UPSTAIRS / NOT ACCESIBLE FOR LUGGAGE OR THE HANDICAPPED:
They weren’t allowing of our bags upstairs. We were 3 people (2 bags each). Our valuables and medicine were in between all luggage so all had to go upstairs.
Yes, there is an elevator but stairs within the halls, so impossible to move luggage seamlessly or if in a wheelchair.
DONT BE DECEIVED BY THE NICE LOBBY. HORRIBLE HOTEL.
The rooms are very nice and the bed was comfortable.
The location could not have been better for walking and experiencing all this great and beautiful city had to offer.
The breakfast was the best over ever had that was included in the cost.
Thank you so much to the staff for making this a great trip. They helped us find transportation to airport.
Xoxo paris
