Decisamente delusa. Un’esperienza che non consiglio.
We chose this hotel mainly because the location is perfect. It is near Châtelet/ Les Halles and Pont Neuf stations which allow you access to multiple RER and metro lines. Direct access to RER B line so easy to reach to get to and from airport and gare du nord. (However escalators and lifts in Châtelet station closest to the hotel are often broken so you may have to exit to the ground level via Westfield the shopping mall) There are also bus stops nearby. It is also within 10-20 minutes of walk to many famous spots like Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle, and the Louvre. It is close to Le Marais and Saint Germain areas which house many good restaurants and shops.
We stayed in the superior room (the most basic room). We requested for room with street view in the booking and they entertained our request. We had just enough space to lay open two large luggages but it was expected. Everything was clean. Bathing area was spacious; the toilet is Japanese-style/high tech one! The bed is very comfortable. There is ample lighting for brightness but in a warm and pleasant tone. I also like the smell of the room scent.
But the most surprising and pleasant part is the impeccable service of every staff. We were given early check in at 8am without request - which was the best gift after a tiring 14-hour flight. Every staff at the reception and in the restaurant spoke good English and greeted us with warm smiles at every encounter. They kindly facilitated our request to prepare a packed breakfast as we had to leave early before the buffet breakfast time one day.
After the stay, I understand why their hotel slogan is “casually luxurious”. Even though the setup of the hotel may not be as grand as a “typical” 5 star hotel, there are many details that reflect the thoughtfulness of the design of the hotel room. Yes the price is not cheap, but we felt very well taken care of and well rested. I would definitely consider coming back if I revisit Paris again - and would 100% recommend it to anyone who wouldn’t mind paying more for a comfortable and convenient stay in Paris.
Quartos bem conservados.
Banheiros limpos.
They even gave our parents a bottle of champagne along with other goodies, like croissants and madeleines, for their wedding anniversary.
Good location. Close walk to many bistros, cafes, and restaurants, as well as many central Paris attractions, like Louvre and Notre-Dame.
The breakfast buffet was amazing, although beware, that it's not included in your stay.
The hotel rooms are all very stylish, and well appointed. The view onto the city street was amazing and something I would try to request when coming back (despite the early morning trash collection!). The hotel also boasts a well appointed pool/spa and has a delicious restaurant (though we only used it for breakfast occasionally).
We especially loved the pool. Even though it was underground the sunlight streaming through the glass roof gave it an open, outdoor feel. Breakfast was just right—not overwhelming, but a perfect, fresh start to the day in bustling Paris.
The location is enviable—absolutely perfect. The staff is incredibly friendly and top-notch. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Be sure to use the concierge—they make excellent recommendations and handle reservations seamlessly.
Thank you, Maison Albar—we’ll be back every time we’re in Paris!”
The staff members were wonderful. They were very proactive and accommodation.
Some issues with the service. Most of the staff was friendly but they did not quite provide 5 star level customer service (problem solving and communication) when things came up like our room not ready on time - they seemed completely unsympathetic. Concierge never replied to emails in advance of our stay. Turn down service was missed one night. Online room service system did not work - allowed orders to be placed but then they were never made. They kept making us try it first before they’d accept an order via phone.
Very convenient location - walkable to major sights. Easy to hop on 5 different metro lines and 3 commuter rail lines (including RER B to airport) within a 10 minute walk. The buffet breakfast with eggs made to order was great but adding oatmeal would have been a good addition.
Each day we received a little gift on our bed which was a nice touch - on Easter Sunday it was a giant chocolate egg. All beverages in the mini-fridge were included with the room. In booking they were quick to respond and also had timely automated follow-up emails, one of which being optional add-ons like balloons, flowers and macaroons, all of which we opted for and loved.
Overall, we would definitely stay here again - the staff really were amazing and the location ideal. Service was on par with hotels way above this price-point. We were between two of the Maison hotels but opted for this one due to the pool as we knew it would be nice to relax after a long day of walking. I spent hours and hours comparing hotels. Save yourself the time and book here.
Quelle honte
