Une terrasse accueillante… en apparence ?

Nous nous sommes installés ce dimanche à 16h, pensant simplement prendre un café au Café de la Comédie. Quelle n’a pas été notre surprise lorsque le serveur — manifestement peu concerné par la notion d’accueil — nous a sèchement signifié qu’ici, “on ne servait pas de café”. Pas de formule, pas de sourire, juste du mépris à peine voilé.

Mais alors, question : à quoi bon s’appeler café si l’on refuse de servir… du café ? La réponse semble claire : si vous ne consommez pas pour un montant jugé “suffisant”, on vous fait comprendre que vous n’êtes pas les bienvenus.

Est-ce une politique maison, un hasard ou un mépris assumé pour les clients de passage ? Dans tous les cas, cela ressemble fort à un attrape-touristes, où la devanture séduisante masque un service désinvolte, voire condescendant.

À méditer avant de s’y installer.

Posle posete muzeja Louvre, seli smo na malu pauzu u ovom kafiću, osoblje je bilo korektno a usluga brza, enterijer kafića je lepo dekorisan ima neku posebnu draž, zbog nedostatka prostora stolovi su previše zbijeni jedni do drugih i jedva da ima mesta da se prođe, bukvalno sedite jedno pored drugoga sa ostalim klijentima. Cene su malo jače obzirom na lokaciju i broj turista, tako da za neku kratku pauzu i piće nije loše, ali ima daleko bolja mesta.

Café de la Comédie – Paris

Classic Parisian café with surprisingly good food. The French onion soup was hearty and satisfying — thick, rich broth with a generous amount of melted cheese and bread on top. The pasta was also nicely done, flavorful and cooked well.

The space is a bit cramped, especially during busy hours, but that’s part of the charm for many small Paris cafés. Service was attentive and friendly, which made the experience pleasant overall.

A solid stop if you’re around the area and looking for comforting French fare in a lively atmosphere.

En sortant du Louvre , petite brasserie face a la comédie française .
Super déjeuner le 24 mai , des pâtes à la truffe , mama mia excellentes !
Brasserie petite mais efficace et belle découverte pour ceux qui passent par la en sortant du Louvre ????

Absolutely fabulous food, friendly service, and a perfect spot just steps from the Louvre Museum. Every dish we tried was a delight- French toast with ham, French Onion Soup, and a delicate crepe that truly captured authentic French flavors. The escargot was rich and buttery, and the pesto penne was vibrant and full of flavor. On top of the amazing food, the waiter was friendly and very helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a satisfying French meal in a prime location - Louvre Museum!

What a wonderful find! Very near the Louvre, the menu was just what we expected for a French cafe. The food was Tres bon and our waiter Stefan was so attentive and friendly. We can't recommend it more highly.

This was an excellent place for dinner and winding down after many hours of walking at the nearby Louvre. Small indoor dining area, large patio for great people watching. Nice, efficient service, good food, generous portions.

Whether you’re stopping by for a quick espresso or lingering over a glass of wine, this café delivers classic Parisian charm with a view that never gets old.

The outdoor terrace is iconic — perfect for people-watching, journaling, or just soaking in the rhythm of Parisian life. From my seat, I could see the elegant columns of the Comédie-Française and hear the faint hum of the city, which made the experience feel almost cinematic.

The waiter was very nice. The guy who seemed like the manager was rude and disrespectful. 13€ for an orange jus which was not mentioned on the menu doesn’t seem right even on a touristic site. Definitely not recommended. Walk a little further and you’ll find something better.

catastrophic hygiene and service, the toilets actually looked like a hub for infectious diseases, évidement à fuir.

bruyant ; si vous souhaitez être mal reçus et aller papoter avec des amis en sortant de la comédie française sans entendre un traître mot de ce qu'on vous dit car la radio ringarde gueule comme dans le pire des pmu de province en encore plus fort et en dix fois plus cher alors allez-y !!! Vous pouvez aussi y aller si vous souhaitez vous cailler les miches dehors parce qu'on vous refuse l'intérieur même quand il y a plein de places en sortant du théâtre sous prétexte que vous ne souhaitez que verres et patisseries....

FUYEZ!! Je suis outrée par le comportement d’un serveur d’une cinquantaine d’année qui hurlait sur des clients, il s’est permis d’insulter une cliente d’une trentaine d’année avec des propos très vulgaires, sur la terrasse du café en lui profanant des menaces… pas du tout professionnel!! Passez votre chemin !
