Just returned from a short visit to Paris -my favourite city- and my stay was enhanced by choosing Simon's Boutique Hotel!|The accommodation is obviously newly refurbished -stylish and understated, in neutral tones.|The bed was really comfortable, the bathroom very well appointed-with an excellent power shower and lovely complementary toiletries. Loved the provision of a kettle , together with a selection of tea/coffee; this is not always found in French hotels.|As my room was at the back, it was blissfully quiet ,with a nice view over parisian rooftops; could spot Sacre Coeur in the distance!|The staff are very helpful, friendly and welcoming, adding to the relaxed ambiance of the hotel.|The location is conveniently close to the Metro too, only four stops from Gare du Nord.|As regards the , it is a typical, inner city , residential neighbourhood- not touristy, but certainly not scary, as some have stated; I am a solo traveller of retirement age and felt perfectly safe there!|Thank you to the hotel for a very pleasant stay.

We booked this hotel as part of a Eurostar deal and found it great value for our three nights stay.|As highlighted in other reviews this isn’t the smartest of neighbourhoods but we had no issues late at night and whilst obviously tourists the locals don’t care.|Location is great with a Metro stop five minutes away and equidistant ten minutes in an Uber (€12) from the Gard du Nord and Gard de L’est - you can walk and it will take 25 minutes.|Our fourth floor bedroom was clean with a safe and desk/hot drinks facility and a very smart shower room.|Comfortable bed and very quiet at night.|Breakfast is excellent with pastries, meats and cheeses, scrambled eggs and sausages, variety of hot drinks and juices.|The reception area is very nice as is the bar to relax in.|I recommend this hotel for long weekends and ideal for Eurostar breaks.|Don’t let the external images and negative comments about the area put you off - Champs-Elysees, the Louvre and Eiffel Tower just 30 mins by Metro and fifteen minutes by Uber.

A complete disaster! Stay away!||This hotel was an absolute disappointment! I booked a room for 3 people, yet without any explanation, they gave us a tiny double room. When we requested a baby cot for our child, we practically had to beg for it—and when it finally arrived, it didn’t even have a sheet and looked completely unprepared and unhygienic. Once the cot was placed in the room, there was barely any space left to move. We had to climb over our luggage just to get around.||The room was not only cramped and poorly designed, but the parking situation was also a complete mess. It’s disorganized, hard to access, and outrageously overpriced. Charging such high rates for such poor service is simply shameless.||The staff’s indifference and lack of problem-solving made everything worse. When we voiced our complaints, they acted as if it was our fault. They clearly have no understanding of customer service or hospitality.||If you’re traveling with family, avoid this place at all costs. It’s a waste of money, time, and energy. On our next trip to Paris, the first thing we’ll make sure of is to stay far away from Simon’s Boutique Hotel!

Do not book this hotel. Worst experience. Smallest room, stains on carpet and ceiling. Aircon did not work. Curtains were faulty so did not close properly had to use a hair clip to pin curtains for whole stay. Reception staff not helpful and do not deal with complaints. In person or via email. I have complained both ways and got no where with hotel. Location of hotel is awful and made us feel unsafe when venturing out of hotel especially at night. We also had an issue where we asked hotel to book us a taxi trusting them but they booked us dodgy taxi in which we ended up being victims of daylight robbery. very disappointed as hotel also didn’t care or take any accountability even though they booked it for us. As a guest especially foreign tourist you trust hotels with bookings and this one let us down||||Hotel seems to get bad reviews taken down as my google review was removed… they obviously want to portray a fake perception to those wanting to book this hotel. I will continue to repost this review to help others. If hotel want review removed maybe they should reply to my emailed complaint and resolve issues with me

Visited for my mums birthday and the service was okay. No complaints about the room or the staff at all. I was skeptical after reading the reviews, however it did not disappoint.
The only downside is the location, it’s only 30 minutes away from central paris, with the metro station just round the corner from the hotel, however the area the hotel is in is not great. It’s very noisy and it’s not the safest place at night, especially by yourself. This is no fault of the hotel and I can’t fault the stay at all. It is definitely worth staying here for the price and using the metro, than paying for a more expensive hotel in the city centre.
Definitely recommend getting an uber back from the city centre at night rather than the metro, for only around €15, much safer.

Booked as part of a Eurostar package for a mid-week break in Paris. Hotel is an easy journey from Gare du Nord, about 15 minutes and one change and a 2 minute walk from Marx Dormoy Metro station. Doesn't look much from the outside but inside it's very nice. Super friendly staff, spotlessly clean and a very good breakfast selection. We'd definitely return and would recommend this hotel.

We met an old couple also staying at the hotel, and we all agreed that the service is terrible. The rooms are small, and there's no consideration at all for senior guests. To make matters worse, the manager refused to speak with us or address our complaints as well as happened with the old couple told us exactly the same thing. A truly disappointing experience.

My experience at this hotel was disappointing.
The staff, especially the receptionist Christine, was rude and unprofessional. For three days, we asked to speak to the manager and never received a response. We are still here, and every return to the hotel is a painful experience due to all the inconveniences. If you're looking for kindness and relaxation, this is not the place.

My girlfriend had forgotten her valuable scarf. We were 100% sure it was still in the room, so we immediately contacted the hotel. They said it wasn't there after checking twice, but we got the impression that it wasn't even looked at properly, because it was impossible to miss.

We were there for a concert at the Adidas Arena, which is about 15 minutes away. The area does appear run down, but when you look closer, the graffiti is mainly on the premises that have shutters. It's a busy area, with shops open late, some possibly all night. Shops are only open because people are there to purchase. It's an area with lots of Oriental restaurants, which we had an excellent meal at. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the Metro station Marx Dormoy. (Line 12, green).||The hotel. Very welcoming reception staff. Our room was as we expected for the price. Roomy enough for an overnight stay. I'd say I would be happy to stay there for longer.|The public areas were spotless and there was a free glass of water available in reception. Lifts efficient and clean. The room was clean. The bathroom was spacious with a large shower. Towels adequate. The aircon worked, but even though we set it for a couple of degrees warmer, it didn't seem to change. However, to be fair, it was probably our error as we have had that problem in other hotels. We compensated by turning on the heated towel rail in the bathroom for a while!||We opted for breakfast. Not the cheapest I know, but so convenient. The food was fresh. Scrambled eggs and sausages were the cooked option. It would have been nice to have had some cooked tomatoes or mushrooms, but as you don't have to reserve breakfast, waste could be a problem. Plenty of fresh mixed fruit, cold meats, cereals with fresh mild and a good selection of bread and brioche, plus unlimited hot drinks. We could have gone to the café on the corner, but probably would have paid more. The breakfast room was clean, spacious and welcoming. We were still sitting there after it should have closed and yet the staff member asked us if there was anything else we wanted and could he clear away. ||Bottom line, we would definitely stay there again if we wanted to be in the area. We arrived by train. Driving would have cost more with the tolls, parking and fuel. It would also have taken more than twice as long as the TGV.

I will say this hotel was one of the nicest hotels I have ever been outside the United States. I had no complains during my visit.
There’s a car parking fees of €25 per night, that’s if you have one. It’s not located in the best area, but at least you ll have food and other stuff at your reach if you don’t have a car.
Also there’s an Arab guy that has a food shop across the street from the hotel, please patronize him, and thank me later.

In Paris, if you want a great hotel, great amenities, great location, great service, then book the Crillon or the GeorgesV… and even they get 1 star reviews from time to time…|For most people with lesser pockets, we have to look elsewhere…|My fiancée and I chose Simon’s Boutique Hotel because we could get an “executive room" in which, according to the dimensions, we could actually “swing a cat” and given our 10 day stay over Xmas and the New Year, was cheaper than looking for an AirBB and far less haphazard an affair.|We got a fabulous room with Aircon, Nespresso machine, free of charge safe, a fridge, a giant bathroom with walk in shower… Soap, and towels (more on the towels later on…)||Not without Fault, like most hotel rooms, the double bed was actually two single beds, half of which was clearly a new mattress, the other half was old and worn out. I did ask that something be done about it but nothing happened until towards the end of our stay, i complained that they should be paying me to sleep in it rather than the other way around… After that, they made an effort to rectify the problem but really what they should have done is swap the mattress for a newer one from another room, given that the place wasn’t busy before Xmas but filled up towards the New year…||The front of house staff are friendly, courteous and try to be helpful. One lady Chrislaine is particularly good and should run the place… She was brilliant. It struck us that over this period, there was absolutely noone in charge however… Things that needed sorting like the bed issue couldn’t be sorted because there was no management present who could tell the staff to sort it out… and that is a shame… I felt that the staff are not allowed to make extraordinary decisions to sort things out… If they had come to us and said, “we cant fix the bed but come and have breakfast on us during your stay hereto make up for it … that would have gone some way to make things better… Not that we needed or wanted breakfast in the hotel, That kind of thing placates the client and they feel listened to and heard…That is quite important…||For people complaining about the breakfast, I feel that €16 per person is an awful lot. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel because in Paris there is a boulangerie on every street corner… 2 minute walk from the hotel… Croissants, pains raisin, pains chocolat, a supermarket almost next door…||For people complaining that the hotel only supplied 2 nespresso coffees per day, the supermarket next door sells them along with English Breakfast tea… if that is the issue…||As for the neighbourhood, the hotel is in the 18th arrondisment, a reasonably run down emigré quartier of Paris… Well situated being a two minute walk from the Metro. The restaurants are basic, there are several, but perfectly edible and cheap… Not Haut cuisine for sure… BUT…if a group of two or three black or north African young men smoking a cigarette outside their cafe constitutes a “gang”, as described by one or two commentators, then clearly this is not the neighbourhood for you. We felt safe walking around even at 2am, there really is no reason to worry…||Oh the towels… I forgot the towels… If you are larger than a size Zero supoermodel, then you ought to think about bringing your own… because we got small towels … On one day, we had brilliant large ones so we know that they exist, but only on one day…!!!||Overall, I will book this place again, BUT, I will let them know exactly what I need next time I come… so that they can prepare in advance. Its a fine place but could be a great hotel… Attention to detail is key... I emailed the place this review before posting it here... No reply... which is a shame because they clearly dont give a damn about what their customers think...

All wasn't as it seems! At least not the way it was shown on their website. Got this hotel as a package deal via Eurostar...very disappointing!!
The street where the hotel is situated is really awful! Some strange characters hanging around everywhere! Dirty roads, you would have thought that you were in a third world country.

I loved the local vibe there were plenty of options for different African cuisines, including cafes, bakeries, and brasseries all along the street. That added a lot of charm to the experience.
One thing that caught me off guard was having to pay a local tax on arrival—I wasn’t aware of this beforehand, so it was an unexpected expense.
Another downside was that you couldn’t regulate the room temperature yourself—it had to be adjusted by reception, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, I accidentally booked a single room (thanks to Eurostar), which was my own oversight. The single mattress wasn’t the most comfortable.
The room had a kettle, which was a plus, but no minibar or fridge. That said, the staff were more than happy to store beverages in their fridge or help heat up food if you’re staying longer—very accommodating!
The biggest highlight for me: the room and bathroom were spotless. No mould, no unpleasant odours—super clean! I really appreciated that.
