Les chambres dites “basiques” sont franchement catastrophiques : à peine 5 m², un simple lit collé au mur, et un bruit constant. La seule fenêtre donne… sur le couloir, ce qui signifie que les voisins passent devant et peuvent voir directement dans votre chambre.
Pas de clim, donc 35 °C étouffants à l’intérieur. En plein Bordeaux, aucun stationnement prévu – il faut clairement prévoir un budget parking en plus.
Autour ? Que des chantiers, du bruit du matin au soir.
Honnêtement, même pour une nuit, fuyez cet endroit. On se croirait dans un cagibi mal ventilé.

We booked a 6 dorm room hostel as a group of 6 and all of us said it was the worst hostel we have stayed in because there is literally no air circulation. We have stayed in many places without A/C in 30+ degree heat, but due to the building, the way the windows are, and the absoloutly useless fan (which we had to ask for and were not even originally provided despite the fact it’s 36degrees) the room was literally horrifically hot. The window backs onto the walkway, so you can’t open it without it being a massive security issue as someone could easily climb in. Despite this, we asked the staff member if there was anyway of ventilating the room / for fans and he said he would go into our room and see. We told him we were going out. When we got back, all he had done was open our window!! Absolutely crazy, we had not locked our stuff away in the lockers as the room was private to just our group. This also let in a huge number of mosquitos. On top of this, the floor was filthy, and the shower gel in the bathroom was empty on arrival - clearly the room had not been cleaned. The beds were so hot and they only provided a really thick duvet. We got woken up at 7.30am by building works directly opposite, and then the cleaner walked in without knocking at 9am. Do not stay here, especially when it is hot. Imagine how useless one fan is for. 6 bed dorm in 36degree heat.

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel en plein canicule , nous étions un peu inquiets au vu des commentaire mais nous avons été agréablement surpris. un accueil très agréable avec toute les informations nécessaires pour passer un bon séjour, avec une équipe a l'écoute. des chambres petites mais assez grand pour un court séjour, très bien décorer et propre. Nous avons choisit une chambre climatisé ce qui était top , et pour une fois une clim qui fonctionne vraiment. et le gros point fort c'est le prix nous avons payer 70 euros pour une chambre de é personne , un prix qui est vraiment agréable et honnête ! continuer comme ça !

Très déçue... chambre qui ne correspondait pas dutout avec les photos pour commencer... Et pour couronner le tout on avait payer plus cher pour avoir la clim qui bien sûr ne fonctionnait pas ! Conclusion nuit horrible. Et juste dégoutée d'avoir dépenser 98e pour une chambre pareille c'est une honte!
Quand nous sommes parties nous avons fait part de notre mécontentement à l'accueil et on a juste eu en retour un "je vais le signaler". La blague...

Expérience gâchée par des travaux au pied de la porte. Marteau piqueur dès 8h si ce n’est moins et tête de lit qui tremble, pas ce qu’on attend d’un hôtel. Aucune remise en question du personnel lié à cet inconfort.

Desilusão, apenas um ponto pq os quartos estavam quentes, impossível respirar mesmo com a ventoinha…apenas disseram que é por ter certificado de sustentabilidade, mas foi impossível dormir naquele espaço… a ventoinha gasta mais do que se colocassem um equipamento de ar condicionado.

Habitaciones ridículamente pequeñas en las que NO HAY AIRE ACONDICIONADO, en verano duermes a 35 grados sin ningún tipo de ventilación, sólo hay una ventana que da al pasillo del hotel. Tuvimos que pedir que nos cambiaran de habitación porque la primera olía fatal de las tuberías del baño. En la segunda el agua de la ducha salía caliente y fría sin poder regularse y el baño estaba sin limpiar. Horrible, no entiendo cómo puede tener tanto morro y dar semejante servicio.

Tiny room, hot as hell, no AC (which is in the description), but you can’t even vent it out because the layout is just stupid. The doors and windows open straight onto the corridor, so everyone walking by can look right into your room. I can maybe imagine staying here in winter if the heating works, but in summer it’s unbearable. Don’t recommend at all.

By far, this is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. Here's why:
1. The window frame was falling off
2. There was mold on one of the bathroom ceilings.
3. The AC was broken.
Thanks to these flaws, guess who had bug bites in the morning? I did.
It's the hotel's fault for all of this. They need to fix room 308 (the room I was staying in) and any other hotel rooms with the same problem.
I'm never visiting this hotel ever again, and I recommend future customers to avoid this garbage too.

El Eklo es un hotel moderno situado a 20' andando del centro de Burdeos, puedes aparcar en el Carrefour que hay cerca por 14€ de 8 a 20h, a la noche si sacas el coche es gratis hasta las 9am.
Habitación pequeña, con lo justo para pasar y colocar tus cosas pero bonita, funcional y limpia. Buen descanso y cama cómoda, no escuché mucho ruido. Cuarto de baño de buen tamaño, el agua sale estupenda.
Desayuno muy bueno por 12.5€ con huevos, mermeladas deliciosas, bacon, pan brioche,...
Personal amable que nos ayudó en todo.
Nos hizo dos noches de calor del bueno y necesitábamos ventilador porque la habitación no tiene AC.

Hôtel efficace pour un séjour d une nuit voir deux nuits nous avions une chambre pour 4 personnes il manque une petite table ds la chambre|Nous y sommes allés en pleine canicule il y avait un ventilo mais ns avons eu chaud qd même|Juste ce que je comprend pas hotel restaurant ds le concept écologique avec des plantes plastiques partout pour la décoration et la lumière allumé la journée ds le gd hall d entrée

Good hotel, helped me with my request of an air conditioned room. Only downside the closest bridge was closed for roadworks but not there fault just something to keep in mind.

The experience was fairly positive although rooms were very hot and stuffy. However, we were very disappointed to be taken advantage of and essentially scammed out of money. Despite informing the hostel that we could not make the first day we booked, our entire reservation was cancelled with no refund. We were made to pay for 2 new rooms because they had double charged our original room. This felt very coercive and manipulative and was overall an unpleasant experience for three young girls with essentially nowhere else to go. Even though the hostel was well aware we would not make this first night, they had not included any information about the cancellation in their email, which only pointed to the fact that our first night was non-refundable. So, essentially they waited for us to show up knowing full well when we got here we would have no other option but to pay the money. Would not recommend this hostel: poor customer service, money-grabbing rules & very poor communication.

It is 3.40am and four of us are awake. There is no air-conditioning here and they have no fans they can give. I can keep the windows open but can't keep mosquitos out as there is no mesh. If there was a hotel next door I'd pack my bags. Aircon isn't mentioned in their listing just that it's an eco friendly hotel. It should be in giant capital letters that there is no aircon.

Très bonne expérience dans cet établissement.
Certes la chambre est petite mais il y a tout le nécessaire pour une nuit.
Espace collectif agréable, propre avec une décoration soignée.
Le plus : un acceuil chaleureux. Le personnel de la réception et de la restauration est à l'écoute, très serviable et attentif.

Chambre compacte mais fonctionnelle et propre. La literie est confortable, mais il faisait vraiment trop chaud malgré le ventilateur. Accueil pro. Très bien placé, à 2 pas du tram. Idéal pour 1 ou 2 nuits, mais un séjour plus long serait difficile sans clim.

Avoid booking rooms with no air conditioning during the summer months at all costs. You cannot open the window / shutters due to the layout of the building, with the windows being along the main corridors so people can easily see or break in. The room was SO much hotter than it was outside and it was impossible to sleep - even at 3am it was only 22 degrees outside, but the room was unbearably hot. We have not had this issue in other hotels with no aircon, it is just an exceptionally hot building which is not fit for purpose.

Une nuit affreuse, 30° dans une chambre exiguë. Pas de climatisation et impossible d aérer la chambre !
Du bruit jusqu'à 3h du matin et à partir de 7h des enfants qui crient dans la coursive.
VMC très bruyante aussi.

Definitely not worth staying here. No A/C, no glasses, no soap, no space. Just a hotbox of a room with no way to cool it down and no way to sleep.
Design of the building is terrible, so you can't even open the windows as they look out onto the corridor.
Only stopped for a night but definitely the worst part of my trip.

Decent private room. Had problems with water temperature fluctuating. They mention many times that the rooms don't have AC and that is fine, however to open a window you need to roll up the blinds completely open. Ir they had some ventilation or blinds with an adjustable angle it would have been fine.

Une expérience agréable à l’hôtel Eklo de Bordeaux. Très bon rapport qualité-prix. La literie est confortable, la chambre (twin) adaptée pour un voyage entre amis, avoir une sdb privative est très appréciable ! Nous avons très bien dormi et nous nous sommes senties en sécurité. L’hôtel se trouve plutôt proche du centre ville (accessible à pied en 20min ou beaucoup plus rapidement grâce au tramway) mais dans un endroit très calme de Bordeaux, avec peu de circulation. Le petit dej est qualitatif et complet, le côté « buffet à volonté » permet de manger à sa faim avant d’aller vadrouiller !
Je déplore simplement le fait que le restaurant soit fermé le samedi et dimanche soir.
Je reviendrais sans hésitation à ma prochaine visite de Bordeaux!

Je suis ravie de l'excellent service offert par l'Hôtel Eklo le personnel est non seulement très souriant et attentif, mais la cuisine est également délicieuse. De plus, la chambre est magnifique et confortable. Merci infiniment pour cette expérience agréable.
