when my duck came i was very excited. it was cooked just as i had seen on the TV and was ready to eat it. maybe i would say the skin resting down on the plate was overdone slightly but i like a bit of crispy duck. the meat was cooked beautifully and i was gassed to have it for the first time. my girlfriend ordered the burger and she was satisfied with the intelligent combination of flavours with the chicken and the fillings of the burger as well as the brioche esc bread.
I will say one thing… both of our mains came with a mountain of chips! they were nice chips, but really could’ve done with 1/3 of the amount. saves the restaurant money and also makes it a bit swankeyer. i left most of the chips and so did she as we was satisfied by the main event of our dinner.
for pudding i decided after the crumble since i’d like to see how the french do it. weirdly it was with oranges or something instead of what i’m used to in the UK but it was done very nicely and came hot. a lovely end to some nice food to fill me up. my girlfriend ordered the chocolate mousse or something to that effect and was also satisfied with it.
all in all after this long review lol i would say definitely stop by here for a bite to eat. very modest, very impressive prices and service. id come back again for lunch if i come next year, I recommend both lunch and dinner. man come by and just buy a bottle of wine to give em some business, you don’t need the money, a restaurant with some heart does!!
wont be finding me in l’entrecote, look here instead.
