As a vegan AND a social person, I find myself many time needing to choose.
In A Lota, it was the best Vegan dish I had in Portugal (here for a
few monthes) and it allowed me to seet with my others who also enjoyed the food.

Comida muito bem confeccionada e apresentada, contudo deixo a minha sugestão com o intuito de melhorarem. Os pratos apresentados no Menu não deve de ter picante a não ser que estejam assinalados. Os clientes devem de colocar o picante de acordo com o gosto de cada um, refiro-me principalmente ao prato de Caril de polvo. Apresentação do prato estava muito boa, mas excessivamente picante.

We had Wedding Anniversary Dinner on 10 November 2023.
From the moment we arrived we were looked after by the most gracious Luis with his efficency and excellent knowledge of food and wine????.
We had six oyters ,followed by superbly fresh grilled king prawns and as main course plain grilled sea bass with side of potatoes , all washed down with an incredibly smooth minerally white wine.
We had a cheese platter with spaklers and candle for our anniversary.
We enjoyed it so much that we went once again for Lunch on Sunday 12th November 2023 and had once again freshly grilled tiger prawns and as mains had scarlett prawns delicately cooked with an aromatic sauce with jasmine rice.
Luis many thank you to you and the team for two incredible meals at your restaurant.

Plateau de fruit de mer juste excellent. On a pris également le Surf N Turf, succulent.
Les plats pour les enfants sont également délicieux et équilibrés (soupe de légume, épinards).

Nous y sommes allés compte tenu des bons avis mais avons été déçus avec le plateau de fruits de mer : les huîtres et couteaux étaient bons mais le crabe et sa farce étaient passables et surtout le plateau n'était pas complet par rapport à la description de la carte : il manquait les crevettes, pas très correct : le touriste qui ne réagit pas se fait voler.

Mention particulière pour leur cuisine de fruits de mer. Délicieuse, bien fraîche…. Bon resto à Alvor.

Très recommandable
repas en famille le 20 juillet 2019, bon accueil, nous avons pris pour certains le risotto aux fruits de mer et pour les autres cataplana de poulpe et coquillages. Tout le monde a été ravi de son choix. Les desserts faits maison sont excellents.

The starters were very tasty (especially the razor clams), but the Bream was the absolute star of the show. Paired with some excellent Portuguese wine, it was a near perfect meal.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location is conveniently located on the main drag through the town. I very much hope to return in the future, especially considering how affordable our meals were given the super high quality.
