Great company. Have used twice in the last few weeks with no issue. Very competitive price, cars are always pretty new and they are great value for money. They even changed 4 tyres before allowing me to drive in bad weather just to ensure safety. Great to deal with and will be my go-to rental company next time I visit. Thanks!!

Atención NEFASTA en oficina, estuvimos a punto de perder el vuelo el día que teníamos que dejar el coche, a pesar de ir con mucho tiempo (íbamos prevenidos ya que en la recogida del coche también nos habían hecho esperar muchísimo). Son exasperadamente lentos, no se dan la más mínima prisa aunque los clientes les digan que van a perder el vuelo, simplemente les da igual. Muy desagradables en el trato, totalmente arrogantes.
No lo recomiendo para nada y desde luego no repetiré con ellos la próxima vez que vaya a Islandia.

Si contratas con ellos ve a la oficina a dejar el coche con 3h de antelación y espera sentado.

We rented Dacia Duster and were very satisfied. It was great for winter driving on snowy roads. Picking and returning the car was extremely easy and quick. The staff was very kind and helpful.

I regard myself as an experience overseas driver. Long drives, snowy conditions, windy roads… When Lorraine advised me to consider taking a 4WD instead of the 2WD I hired because the road conditions in Iceland is something I’ve never encountered, the first thing that came was here comes the upselling… I won’t take that, I’ll stick to my 2WD, I am experienced enough…

I am embarrassed to say it now but Atak is not upselling me, the Iceland weather is to be respected and it definitely reflected on the roads. Atak is just providing me a sound local advice.

We went through a gale snowshower, saw 4 car rescues, icy roads and survived to write this review. Thanks to Cristiana for your concern when I returned the car. Appreciate the good service.

I felt “obligated” to inform people to please drive with care, read the reports in travelsafe.is daily, plan your journey with lots of time to spare, and consider getting a 4WD during the winter months. And try to get the platinum insurance coverage. I know it’s going to be expensive but when the big vehicles drive past you and the stones start flying towards you, you know you had it covered. I got the platinum insurance and my car return experience was a breeze.

Enjoy Iceland, it is a beautiful country.

The staff were super friendly and even let us know that the shuttle was going to be about 10mins so we could stay in the office so we didn’t get cold.

Cristina was awesome. She was very helpful during pickup which was so reassuring as I was traveling alone and then upon return she remembered who I was which made my last day in Iceland better!

Juan Carlos was super helpful upbeat and made our late night bleary-eyed experience less burdened. One thing to note is that if you’re walking over from the airport you want solid directions using google maps .yes it’s right there but ‘right there’ isn’t always so simple to locate by ‘wave of the hand’ directions when in a new area . Finding it made for a bit of adventure ! But , really it is ‘right there ‘????

un dacia duster 4x4 de 1700 kms.
je vai à nouveau bientôt reserver car nous y retournons.
nous avions pris l'assurance platinium.
vacances éffectuées du 26/06 au 11/07 2023.

Just don't. Ordered a car pickup at 6:45, waited until 7:45 because there we're just two (2!!) Ppl before me. We missed our 11h Trip for 250€ thanks to super slow working here. The guys before me ordered something but had to pay extra because their car was not there anymore. The guy after us was told his reservation was canceled just because he was late(airplane was late). Now he has no car. There are like 20 ppl waiting and the girl is super stressed. Old car was broken and WE got a new one, but it is dirty. Another Guy came to help,He was faster. Girl was at least nice to us, but we failed our timeframe. Btw, one guy working here weared an "acab"-T-Shirt.

I'm still waiting for my refund, 3 years later. Please send it to me now. I've emailed you maybe 100 times and I keep getting the same response, that I will get it some day. This is so not OK, I lost almost 2000$ CAD with your company.

Great experience. I got a nice Dacia Duster which was in great condition, I got specially surprised by the efficiency for getting and returning the vehicle. The staff was so nice and doing everything fast, thank you guys, I wish I can visit you soon

The car was ok, what I paid for. Went on Octuber 2019, it had started snowing early that year and they refused to install winter tires because it wasnt november. Had to slip several times on the road and wait an entire morning to get my tires changed.

everything went well until the last minute when i returned the car to the car rental company i scratched another car..... it was bad day for me....
however what changed my mood was the service from Daniel, he helped me all along with patience for the incident report, and also helped me to minimized the damage cost for me. also arranged a shuttle back to my hotel as it was getting late and i had no way to go back ....
all in all , i like this rental company. they also have a discount bage in the green lable company gasoline station.
but renter should be aware that you need to pay for the tunnel if you cross it before or after crossing within 3 hours. otherwise you will get a penalty when returning the car, very tricky, but nothing to do with the rental company but you need to be aware.

Had a great and easy experience with Átak! It was significantly cheaper than other rental places but better than most rental experiences I’ve had. Will definitely use them again the next time I’m in Iceland.
