This is the perfect place for peace and rest, with easy access to the larger city of Lafayette. The hosts have all of the right touches already set up in the cottages, and the breakfast is top notch!

I've been visiting this place for years, and always have a 5 star experience in the heart of cajun country. It's a great jumping off point for weekend of crawfish eating and filling up the ice chest with all the great boudin and sausage in the area (Mowata especially). Not to mention maybe the most comfortable bed and bedding anywhere I've been. I almost don't want to tell anyone so I'll always have the place to myself.

Our second stay at this B&B. 4 private cottages (restored single room school houses), perfect for couples 'get away'. Very clean with kitchen, very comfy king size bed, bathtub for two. Decorated with unusual antiques. Breakfast is excellent. Located ~ 1 mile off interstate, quiet but easy to find. Large grass lawn with lots trees, large pond with bridge (would be a nice wedding location). Owner/operator on site, very pleasant and respectful of your privacy. Daily rate is quite reasonable for what you receive. Spouse and I would readily return again if/when we are visiting family in Lafayette, we're from New Mexico.

We stayed here for our daughter’s wedding weekend. Lyn was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast both days was excellent. We stayed in the Prairie Haven cottage which was clean and provided everything that we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Charming old house with all the feel of a 19th century southern dwelling. Creaky wood floors, clapboard walls, very tastefully decorated, classic antique furniture. Has all the modern convenience you need, with dependable AC and heat (needed both for our stay), and great water pressure, great hot water, roomy shower and bathroom. Breakfast was GOURMET, and came with a Prayer (really nice touch). Hosts are professional and pay attention to detail. Internet bandwidth was a little low, but we were there to get away so not a negative for us. Cable tv worked great and lots of channels. Warm king sized bed, better than average comfortable. K-cup coffee works great. Jacuzzi works grate - did cool off quickly, probably because it was chilly outside. Didn’t try cooking. Property is beautiful but we didn’t get to enjoy due to rain, chill, and our schedule. Convenient and easy to find - close to everything in Rayne. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning someday.

Wonderful place to spend our anniversary weekend! The cottage had everything we needed and more. Scenery was beautiful. Breakfast brought each morning was delicious. Peaceful, private and so relaxing!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for Christmas Eve and it was truly an amazing experience. The Cottage was cozy and everything about the stay was top tier. Definitely plan on going back next year!

Such a quaint b and b!!. Lyn was a very friendly and welcoming hostess. They are preserving rural history.Breakfast was delicious. We encourage everyone to stay!

Our experience was fantastic! The cottage was so welcoming. It was clean & beautifully decorated for Christmas. The tree was lit & carols were playing. Perfection!
We hope to return soon!

What a Beautiful place! Very peaceful, relaxing, and quiet.. from taking a stroll on the grounds, and sitting on the front porch, or just looking at the bright stars at night...
Owner/staff Ms Lyn is very helpful and kind.. oh! Breakfast was delicious! I can't say enough about this place! We can't wait to plan another trip!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights while in for our 30th high-school reunion. The cottage we stayed in was adorable. It was clean, and the refrigerator had complimentary waters and juices, alone with a pitcher of homemade lemonade. There were also two cookies on a dish sitting on the counter. The wine and chauterie board we ordered were waiting for us as well. The "welcome committee ", Lyn, the owner, and her two sweet dogs met us everyday in their travels to pick up the basket with items we had used from our delivered breakfast between 8am and 8:30 am. The breakfast was great, but it lacked variety from day to day. Lyn was accommodating to any issues or questions we had. The property was beautiful. I'd recommend trying this place out. You will not be disappointed. The video got shortened to 30 seconds, per site, so I'm sorry.

This is a very peaceful getaway, very well taken care of and everyone was so very nice. You will never find a better place to spend some quiet time, also the food is very good and you have everything you may need to make your visit a total treat. Love everything about the cabin and the people who run it are outstanding. I will be back.

Merci à Lyn pour son accueil chaleureux: il y avait même de la limonade fraîche préparée à notre attention. Cottage propre, décoré dans un bel esprit de chine qui va bien avec l’âme de l’endroit. Petits déjeuners variés et délicieux. Les seuls points «  négatifs » sont l’emplacement un peu bruyant ( près d’une route passante) et les moustiques ! Une belle étape de 3 nuits à recommander.

We had a wonderful wedding anniversary stay at the Maison this week. The cottage was remote from other cottages, had a nice lake view, was immaculately clean and furnished with a touch of family and community history. The hostess was very accessible and helpful. The location is in the Lafayette Cajun area which is always a pleasure for us. We would definitely stay at the Maison again.

Madison D’Memoire was simply a perfect visit for my wife and I. Lyn was friendly and welcoming. She greeted us and provided a short history of the building. She patiently answered our questions, recommended a nice restaurant for dinner and then left us to enjoy. Our cabin was spotless, peaceful and unique while meeting all of our needs. We enjoyed walking the grounds and observing the activity around the pond. Finally, the quiche, fruit and muffins for breakfast were excellent. I highly recommend.

I booked this stay for my fiancé's 30th birthday. We were looking for a relaxing getaway from work and wow did we get that!! Way more than we were expecting. The area and property was safe, clean, and comforting. We stayed in the Autumn Cottage and it was beautiful. When we walked in there were cookies on the table and fresh lemonade in the fridge. Every morning Lyn made us a homemade breakfast delivered to our door and was delicious. Lyn goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome and taken care of. We sat on the porch every morning and night and were content just looking at the beautiful scenery. We ate at Chef Roys for early dinner which is a quick 5 min ride from the cottage. it was great with unbelievable service. Lafayette is a 20 min drive and totally worth it we ate at Charley G's (AMAZING) some of the best food I've ate in the south. After that we went to downtown Lafayette to see Live Cajun music at Hideaway on Lee- HIGHLY recommend!! so much fun. But honestly every evening we were excited to get back to the cottage and relax because we loved it that much. We were sad to leave. We'll be back Forsure! Thank you for an amazing stay :)
